Great eyebrow service I got a threading and tint and I absolutely love it! (Five star for the eyebrows) However when I got my lashes done there was so much glue used that I was scraping it off my cheeks and the middle of my eyelids and I figured it's fine because she discounted the price because it was not the look I wanted. I figured I'd put up with them for a couple of weeks but there are thick chunks of glue on my top waterline that are stabbing the corners of my eyes making them super raw. I have friends and family that get lash extensions and they've never had this problem. It's like buying those cheap hard lashes and not trimming the edges before you put them on. Not to mention they are unevenly placed making my eyelid looking like a Tetris game. She was very nice but also blamed me for not communicating what I wanted properly. The whole thing was rushed she never asked me what I wanted and when I tried telling her she quickly replied "oh yeah yeah I can do that" without really listening to what I was saying when we were done she said I said something completely different than what I actually said and me hating confrontation just left thinking I had to deal with because she said it was too late to have them removed. I've been going for a few months now, so I figured it's time to leave a review. I had never had my eyebrows professionally shaped before, and these ladies do fantastic work. They are never too thin--just look like me a bit more refined, and are always very quick. If you are only getting your eyebrows done, you can be in and out in five minutes. They also make it much easier for me to fill them in in the morning. Priyanka is great and is always sweet to me. The four starts is because I sometimes book a specific person and then when you come in, they put you with the first one available, which is sort of irritating, but again, they all do good work. read more

This has been my go-to eyebrow place for years. My mom, sister, and grandma all also come here. The owner is a very kind woman who really cares about the quality of her work. My eyebrows are always symmetrical and perfect. Her attention to detail is second to none! As a testament to the outstanding quality: I actually live in California. Great work but not very good customer service, you have to make an appointment online, well what is the point of an appointment if you're not even taken when you come in for your booking time! My last 2 appointments took half an hour to get in the chair and I was late for work both times thinking I was safe because I had booked my appointment in plenty of advance to get to work on time. They should keep track of appointment times people book because this is ridiculous I'll try one more time and if it happens again I'll be going elsewhere . read more

The first time I went there, the girl that was doing my eyebrows was really hurting me. I know that eyebrow threading is uncomfortable but it was so bad I had to ask her to stop and the owner actually had to take over. The next time I went there, I made sure to ask for the owner to do my eyebrows this time and it was fine. I went there again recently and was going to request the owner but she wasn't there. So the girl that did mine was very nice, but it was VERY painful. The other eyebrow place I usually go to does not hurt and I always walk out satisfied. Unfortunately it is a far drive and since I got the coupon on my phone for smiley eyes, I figured I would use it and give them another chance. Usually I have good experiences here (Priyanka is great) but this past time was awful. I was here yesterday and when I signed in I asked for Priyanka, but a new girl I've never had before (was never told her name) told me she would take me instead, ignoring the preference I had noted when signing in. She then proceeded to absolutely butcher my eyebrows, leaving the front portion of one basically bald with only 2 or 3 sad little sparse hairs left. I'm praying it will grow back over time. The eyebrows weren't even parallel, and I left looking like one eyebrow was permanently raised. They attempted to fix them and even them out which was appreciated, but the damage has been done and a huge chunk of my eyebrow is still missing and uneven. No one even offered to return my money or compensate me for future services. Not to mention the amount of my own money I'm going to have to spend on makeup to fill them in and make them even. Wow-this was a threading treasure find! Since moving to EG and not being able to drive, finding a quality threading salon has been a challenge. Yes, there is one closer to my house-but their service was disappointing enough for me to let me eyebrows go rouge. I am happy to say, that after reading the reviews and taking a leap of faith to trust Yelp, I will no longer have to live with messy looking eyebrows again. When I walked in, I was greeted and my questions were availability and the wait time were answered while the threader did not turn her back on the customer in her chair. It, along with the Yelp reviews, was a good sign for me. I'm glad I went with my gut. As I waited and watched her work, she talked in a familiar way with the customer (a sign of a repeat), and then she would stand back after threading an eyebrow to assess the aesthetic. After a moment of scrutiny, she would then go back in for touch ups here and there. I hadn't seen that type of service in East Greenwich salons, so that was another positive. The owner was the woman doing the work and she was lovely. Kind, soft spoken and asked me questions about how I liked my eyebrows. She stood back, assessed them and then discussed how we should shape my brows so they would look best with my face and work within their growth pattern. She gave me some tips, when I should come back, and what we could reasonably expect (I have naturally light hair and very thin brows-good for the 90's but not exactly in style nowadays). I'm trusting her judgement because everyone looked great walking out. Another positive; 3 other women walked in while I was getting my eyebrows done, (which to me was a good sign), and while she kindly greeted everyone and again, it did not effect my service. In terms of the noise level, this was one of the few businesses I have been in where there was no music playing so I was comfortable sitting while I waited without any headphones on, a big treat! No flashy images, tv, or noise, just calmness and lots of gossip magazines to look through. I'll be honest, the outside of this shop is in a 80's looking outdoor mall, little to be desired, but inside it is clean, QUIET and so friendly. I have finally found my eyebrow go to place-better than any place in Providence due to the service. My eyebrows came out looking great AND for the first time, I did not have skin irritation or puffiness walking out. The hours are consistent, and the environment is chill. Give this woman your eyebrows, you won't be disappointed. read more

Sadly, I was used to the gamble of having my eyebrows waxed--sometimes they'd look pretty good, but often I had to desensitize myself to the bizarre appearance of asymmetrical, overly thin, or unnaturally shaped brows. Threading at Smiley Eyes is an entirely different experience, and my only regret is having waited as long as I did to try it.
