I went here for the first time this past weekend. I am VERY PLEASED with my color and cut and absolutely LOVED THE SERVICE. Maryanne took care of me since she specializes in curly hair. However, I think she would do well with ANY HAIR. Jen the receptionist is so personable and I am so glad she recommended Maryanne for my hair. This salon uses "pure" products such as Deva Curl (for hair like my own)...no sulfates or ingredients that are unnecessary (such as those that make lather). I received quite an education from Maryanne on products and ways to care for my hair. This is my new salon and Maryanne is my go-to hairdresser :) FANTASTIC!!!! read more

Nice layout. Been coming for years. Almost everyone of the people here are outstanding. Starting with Jen at the desk who is awesome, always has a smile to greet you and works with you on getting that next appointment. Ali is simply gifted with hair to say the least. A hairdresser at the next level His experience as an international hair stylist shows, and is a perfectionist I drive over an hour each way to have him cut my hair. I read other reviews, and yes, the owner is not the warmest person, and can be gruff in his demeanor. Dont let that stop you. read more

This was my first visit and Alyce gave me a great haircut and blowout!!! BUT.. I will never return because the guy in the first chair was yelling at the receptionist. He made me feel uncomfortable. This was my first visit to Salon Pure and it will not be my last. I love the salon and how personable and approachable everyone is. Kirsten was amazing I was referred to her by a friend and my hair has seen some rough times so i was nervous at first finding a new stylist. She was amazing she listened to all my needs and went over everything with me discussed the process and i had complete trust in her. She did an amazing job and I havent been this happy with my hair in so long. She was so so great and i would recommend her strongly. Also the staff in general is lovely, i had a beverage that i brought burst in my purse soaking all of my belongings, they took me to their kitchen/breakroom helped me with towels and made me feel valued as a client especially a new client. I recently moved back to NJ and needed to find a stylist for my curly hair, without having to travel to Philly for a cut. Luckily I found Maryanne from another review here. I'm trying to grow my hair out but also wanted layers and Maryanne hit the nail on the head. She cut off just the needed trim length and blended my layers beautifully. Having curly hair, it's easy to walk away from a haircut with too much being taken off or having my layers look like a shelf, but this cut was great. Maryanne is sure to listen and make sure she's giving the cut you want. I really appreciated her and how nice everyone else was at Salon Pure. I was charged $55 for the cut, fyi. read more

I've been going to Salon Pure for years, and was always satisfied with my hair afterwards, but ever since I started going to Ali, I absolutely LOVE my hair when he's done with it. I have extremely thick hair & he knows exactly what he's doing when cutting it to make sure it doesn't look even thicker, while still giving it volume. Ali has given me keratin two times so far, and is patient & precise each time he does it. Once you go to Ali, you won't let anyone else touch your hair. I've shown him pictures of what I want when he has dyed my hair, and he somehow makes it look even better than the picture. He's truly talented and will make sure you leave feeling not just satisfied, but excited about your new hair! read more

I love this salon! I moved to Rochester, NY so it's hard for me to get back to NJ. Their staff is the best! They are perfectionist at their jobs. Lou is great at cut and highlights my family members go to him and I go to Beth! She's great! Beth follows original highlights and is a perfectionist! Love this salon! Went for the first time yesterday. The facility is very pretty with espresso-colored stations and light green walls with relaxing music playing. I really liked the way the salon is set up with stations set into side areas with walls instead of one long area which can get quite noisy with all the dryers and talking. Not so here. Beth gave me an absolutely perfect color and my hair is also very shiny. I liked the hairstyle I got a few weeks ago and Beth improved on that alot. The price is comparable to other salons too, so why go anywhere else? read more

I have been to this salon many times and every time I have been very pleased. I have seen many of the stylists there and I would recommend any of them in a heartbeat. Everyone is very friendly and professional. Today I went to get a touch up and to cover highlights that were done at another salon (I had a gift card for the other salon). The salon that did my highlights is a "high end" posh salon, but they did a very poor job. Lou, the owner, suggested to tone them down rather than covering them, and then he did an Olaplex treatment since my hair was a little fried due to the bad highlights. The color came out perfect! And my hair is visibly healthier and shinier thanks to the Olaplex treatment he suggested. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. read more

I have short, fine hair & wanted an updated look. My appointment was with Amy & I am not pleased with the cut I received. There's a layer on the one side of my head going from front to back & does not blend in at all plus it's choppy. It's too short to fix at this time so I have to wait a few weeks till it grows out. Also, she barely took any time to blow it out. I didn't say anything at the time as I thought I could do something with it, but that isn't happening. I won't go back. read more
