If it were possible to leave a zero star review, I would. This was my first visit to the salon. Although I was supposed to get a hair cut too, due to the length of time it took for the color, there was no one available to cut my hair before the salon closed so I left with it wet except for the hair in the very front of my face, which is the only part of my hair that isn't a total disaster. As a result, I had no idea of just how inexplicably bad my hair looked when I left the salon. I asked for a full highlight. On the day I came in for my consultation at the salon, I showed Chris sample photos of my hair from the last colorist I was happy with. I also explicitly said I did not want lowlights at my consultation after my last experience and Chris agreed. I don't even know how to describe what I actually got but it isn't what I asked for. Notably, when I arrived at the salon, the friend and neighbor who recommended the salon was still there getting her hair cut so she saw me right before it was colored. My friend's immediate reaction when she saw my hair after I paid $200 for a full highlight was that she didn't know I was going DARKER! With the exception of the hair at the very front of my face, my hair is not just darker than it was when I walked into the salon, but darker than my natural base. If I'd wanted my hair to be dark brown, I could do it myself from home for $8. Additionally, if my natural hair color was this dark, I would never have started highlighting it when I was 13 because it would turn out like it is now, like Kelly Clarkson in her American Idol days. I have no idea what went wrong, but what I do know is that I spent $200 (without the discount, it would have been $250 for highlights in South Jersey, which is ludicrous), for my hair to look significantly worse than it did when I walked into the salon. Further, I sent an email to the salon's owner and received no response so don't expect the owner to care that one of her employees ruined your hair and charged you a small fortune for the privilege. read more

I've been going to Lotus for years -- since they opened. My regular stylist moved to this salon, so I moved here with him. I get great cuts, color, up-dos and their makeup artists are amazing too. **Here's the kicker** I travel from Brooklyn, NY to see my stylist at Lotus. When I was living in Los Angeles last year, I didn't get my hair cut. I trust no one but my guy... And, I always get complimented on the hairstyles he gives me. As for the prices, yes, they're a little more expensive than other places in South Jersey, but they're a high-end salon -- not a Supercuts. And trust me, I've gone to other well-known, high-end salons in the Marlton area and I always leave unhappy. For example, a few weekends ago, I had my hair done at another salon on Rt. 70 (against my wishes). My hair looked great on the day of the wedding... but I paid $85 for an "up-do" (I have chin length hair) and the stylist ruined my hair with the curling iron... So I'm heading to Lotus this weekend to get it cut into a pixie. As always, I'm certain it will look amazing. :) read more

I have been going to Lotus Salon since they opened. I was referred to Nicholas for hair coloring. I had never been able to have my hair colored , "exactly' the color that I wanted without being told that my hair would break off. So I always "settled" for whatever my colorist would give me. Nicholas was excellent! I walked out truly satisfied. My color was perfect and my hair was not damaged. My stylist Isaac gives the meanest haircuts.. Although I haven't tried them I have seen samples of his artistic specialty."Great Lengths "hair extensions. The staff is always very pleasant and accommodating. Well, what can I say....I am BEYOND pleased that I was turned onto this AMAZING salon...from the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave, the experience is fabulous. Every staff member you come into contact with acts as though they have known you for years. The salon is upscale, welcoming, and spotless!! NO STUFFINESS HERE!! I had a GREAT experience at lotus salon. Customer service was fantastic. It was my first time there, so when I made the appointment for a hair cut, I was asked about my hair type (it's fine, but I have a lot of it) and the cut I wanted (pixie) so that they could best match me with a stylist. I ended up with Isaac, who gave me a great consultation and then one of the best haircuts ever! Although I'm a girl on a budget, I will happily pay $70 for this service again. It was worth it! I followed my colorist Nick to this salon, of which he is part owner and I am thrilled with the place. He recommended a stylist to me--Kimberly--who is a doll, and a fantastic stylist to boot! The service there is prompt, professional, friendly and warm. Nick is a wonderful colorist too, by the way. I've been using him for twenty years and have gotten compliments on my color all through the years. As far as Kimberly is concerned, I just had a complete stranger ask me who I went to last week. I have been going to Nick for around 8 years for my color. After moving to the NYC area, I tried to find a colorist to highlight my hair closer to where I live. Everyone I have tried has charged me double the price for half the quality. I make the 2 hour trip to Lotus because I always leave happy. I always get compliments on my hair when I leave Lotus, and Nick and his team are all wonderful. It truly does not matter who you go to see. Loved Lotus! This was my first time visiting the salon.. I have extremely thick/curly hair so I'm always a bit leery when trying a new stylist. I had heard that Lotus used the ouidad techniques so I was willing to give it a try.. Dana totally exceeded my expectations!! I got a cut and a treatment and my hair looks fantastic! I followed my favorite stylist - Franco - to Lotus Salon and had my first post quarantine cut and color there. The Salon is clean and spacious. I felt very safe. Just had my second visit and they are continuing to do a great job.
