I was in search of a new salon because my old stylist moved to the east side of the state, and as much as I liked her, I wasn't eager to drive 60 plus miles for a cut. On a whim, I walked in to Salon Underground and they were able to fit me in that day. Nicole was my stylist, and she did a wonderful job toning down my old highlights which had become brassy, trimming up my ends with out losing much length, and texturized it too. I can't remember the last time my hair looked this good! The salon is hidden off of Main Street in Dexter and is behind TCF Bank. I love to have easy parking for a start. There is easy access to appts. online and reminders via text, which is very helpful! Then the most important? Having AnaMarie cut my hair, she's an amazing person and a pro with the scissors (and waxing). Fresh coffee and personal attention. YAY! read more

The stylists are not only incredibly talented, they are also kind and welcoming. From highlights and styling, to eye brow waxes, I always leave Salon Underground feeling fabulous. I was very disappointed with products that were being used at a different place I was going to in Chelsea and I wanted to find a place that had great hair products, friendly customer service and that was on time with your scheduled appointment time. When I first met Nicole, I knew I had come to the right place. She repaired the color damage that had been done to my hair previously and my hair looks healthier than it has in a very long time. I started coming here in 2013 after struggling to find someone who could get a handle on my hair. I moved to Dexter and found this adorable salon on main street and decided to give it a try. It was nice to feel like I was in a place with stylist that were skilled and trained in ways to handle all hair types. From the owner to the staff to the decor this place is amazing.
