Deana was amazing...she's super down to earth, fantastic to talk to (I was there for 3 hours and it felt like we had been friends for years) and seriously knows what she's doing when it comes to cuts AND color. I'm always a little nervous to see what everything looks like at the end (because I typically have my glasses off the entire time) but this time, I was pretty at ease. As I sat down…read moreto write this review, I Googled Shear Excitement and found a review I wrote in December of 2006. In it I praised Pattie for great haircuts at a reasonable price. Almost 4 years later, I feel exactly the same way, except she has become more of a family friend who just happens to cut my hair. We always have great conversations. In the time I have been going there, I have held 3 jobs and finished 2 college degrees. She is always genuinely interested in what is going on in my life and I have always enjoyed hearing the stories of her family. When I arrive early, I always see the same types of interactions with her other clients. Her prices have remained almost unchanged since we started going to her ($15 for a guy's haircut with wash). Before we moved to Florissant in 2003, I was driving to a salon in West County and paying over $30 for a haircut that I wasn't as happy with. This was a case where paying more didn't mean better quality. I can't say enough good things about her and would recommend her to anyone.

She then asked another stylist for help and her coworker didn't have an answer either. If you do not know the color issue of the client and you're not experienced maybe there should be a consultation etc first. After sitting in the chair and the two women calling their manager for help, they thought it would be a great idea to tell me they can't help me and to come back another day. Then on top of it one of the stylist had an attitude when I said that I needed this fixed today and for work and that I'm not willing to pay $50 for an uber again. So I called my uber and left. Again, would not recommend. Find another stylist who has better experience and better care and concern for their clients.
