We're always extremely pleased with the quality of the cut, at a reasonable price. It's also worth noting the little "extras": it's always a fun & entertaining place to visit, a triple shampoo (with head massage), cotton swabs for the ears, and eyebrow trimming. Finally, Annie is extremely customer-oriented and one of the friendliest owners/stylist I've ever met. First, I'm from out of town and checked google maps for haircut salons in the woodlands. Annie's popped up and somehow had almost 5 stars on there. DO NOT LISTEN TO THOSE REVIEWS. Either very biased and made by regulars or made by the owner herself. There is absolutely no way this place deserves anywhere near 5 stars. Second, I call in to make an appointment for 530 pm and Annie picks up the phone. She tells me she is already booked for 530 pm but if I can make it there in 15 min (at 515 pm) she can get started and finish up her other client's hair before she finishes mine. I drive across the woodlands and get there in exactly 15 min in order TO WAIT OVER AN HOUR. She failed to tell me she was already in a 5 pm appointment and didn't have time to "start my hair cut". Third, after finally getting seated at around 620 she starts to ask me what I want with my hair. After I begin explaining, she proceeds to apologize and go work on another woman's hair for 10 MINUTES while I sit in the chair. There was another stylist there, but she insisted that she take over and finish off the other client's hair cut. Fourth, after awkwardly waiting in this chair for her to finally begin my haircut, she finally finishes up and comes back to me. At this point I'm pretty irritated due to the fact that it's 630 pm and I called in at 5 pm for an appointment at 515 pm and she's just starting on my haircut. After very specifically telling her what I want again (I've been getting the same haircut for years and it's pretty easy/generic) she tells me that she does this all the time and not to worry. After finishing the sides, which I had to correct her probably 3 times on how I wanted them, she asked what to do on the top. I tell her to shorten it and to thin it A LITTLE. She then proceeds to thin my hair like there's no tomorrow. After I ask her what she's doing, she says -that it will look better if I keep it longer and have it thinned a lot (COMPLETE OPPOSITE OF WHAT I WANTED). My hair grows back very fast so I don't like to keep it extremely long. My hair literally looked like an Afro after this haircut and I'm visibly upset saying she thinned it way too much. Annie literally GIGGLES under her breath and tries to tell me "oh it looks so good on you". I have never come close to going online and writing a poor review about a business, especially a haircut place. BY FAR THE WORST HAIRCUT IVE EVER GOTTEN. DO NOT COME TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT.

I absolutely love this salon, the atmosphere and every single stylist, manager and receptionist there! They are all so friendly, warm and inviting!! My personal stylist is Kamryn, she is amazing, I can't get over the miracle she pulled off w/ my hair. I have dark black brown hair, I've tried for yrs to get it to blonde of course as most places would say you would need a few sessions to get it to what I wanted. Kamryn was so patient and attentive, she actually got my hair to exactly what I wanted the first time I went in. They were even closing and she was supposed to be getting off but stayed to make sure my hair got to the color I wanted and did my cut too! Now that is dedication and extremely highly rated customer service. Now yes it did take about 2.5 to 3.5 hrs, which was understandable in my opinion, and I knew it would take a while. She could have very well been like 'ok this is as far as I can take it today, so you'll have to come back' (which i was worried about but prepared for that happening, if it had to), but she didn't do that! No she took the extra time and care to do her best (which was phenomenal) to make sure I got what I was hoping for and left happy and I sure did! That was when I decided I wouldn't go anywhere else ever lol! Anywho, I noticed there weren't a whole lot of reviews from '26 so I wanted to put this out there since I really believe in this salon and the people that work there. I am extremely appreciative of this salon and of course my stylist, who I simply adore, and highly recommend, lovely to visit with and really seems to care about her clients, such a sweetheart. I am actually going to schedule an appointment with her in the next couple wks so I will update my review w/ new pics at that time. I should mention I am extremely picky about getting my hair done, simply becuz in the past 99% of the time my hair never turned out how I wanted, hoped or asked for. UNTIL I happened upon the woodlands hair elite, which they really are Elite. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting the owner, but she sounds like a wonderful lady. I truly appreciate her staff and the salon as a whole and everything they offer and what she's built. I personally feel, and probably becuz I have been extremely satisfied, that the price points are right on with most other salons, and I don't mind paying for great work. The products they sell are spot on with anywhere else you could get them, at least what I've noticed. They are very up front with the cancelation policies and if you do not cancel in the alloted time that you will be charged, which I think is fair, especially for what you may be asking for, like in my case it's never just something simple so they have to block off that time and potentially lose out on a job for that day if you cancel without the right amount of time, so to me that's fair and makes sense. They are clear with that when booking the appt. They also check with you multiple times for your appt giving you ample time to confirm or cancel properly. I'm sure that if it was an actual emergency and you could maybe prove that it was, I'm sure they would work with you if you are calm, kind and understanding that they are doing their job and they are losing out on potential income for that period if you don't show up or don't cancel in the time frame. But thats just me, I love them and the place to much so I personally wouldn't mind the fee if I didn't cancel properly, or show up. Anywho, bottom line is they are all awesome, the salon is beautiful, a ton of services (one day I'm going to get extensions done with the lady that does them, she is also so sweet and fun!), wide variety of free beverages and snacks, and sell great products. I love the receptionist, she is such a sweetheart too, she's always so nice to me and well like I keep saying everyone up there is awesome, you can just tell, it's a really good vibe! I have had a horrible experience with Gayla at sprout salons. She charged me $2800 just to…read morepurchase 8 wefts of 22" hair. Turns out she was marking up the hair 100%! This is unheard of. Unfortunately, that did not include the dye or the install; which was another $600. For some reason, I actually thought the hair was that expensive, until someone showed me an invoice where they purchased 22 inch strands of humanity hair for $170 per weft. She also did not match my hair and I have short hair, yet she installed hair with 3 inch dark roots. I looked like an idiot. I had to go to another salon to cut my hair to blend with the extensions as she could not fit me in for 5 days; her suggestion was to add another row of hair to help blend (this was the last thing needed- I didn't need more hair; I needed a proper hair cut to blend). My beads started popping through the extensions by week 2. By week 7 my wefts were coming undone (see photo). Attached are copies of the invoices she sent to me to purchase the hair and a copy of what strands of humanity charges for 22" weft of the strand (which is what she installed on me). The first invoice was for six wefts, she then charged me an additional $700 to get an additional two wefts of hair because six wefts would not have worked. I didn't realize I was being bamboozled until I saw how much strands of humanity charges. I have never had such a bad experience with hair extensions. Tip and everything I spent $3700 for hair that I wouldn't wear if someone paid me. (The strands of humanity hair is great, however the hair she chose for me doesn't match my actual hair and the install was below par). Gayla ruined hair extensions for me. I had them removed today. $3700 down the drain!
