Every time I see a beautiful sunset, I photograph it and send it here because, well, the Sky Rocks. Expensive but high-quality Salon up in the Woodlands right off the highway in that beautiful Plaza with Gorgeous facades on all the buildings. They do really good quality work here. Barbie liked it a lot the one time we came here but we now go to places closer to our house - if you're comfortable with prices you'll do fine. read more

I attended a wedding July 9th and I asked some friends for some recomendations for a one-stop shop for hair/makeup. Skyrokh Salon in The Woodlands was the place. The salon itself is located in a shopping center with this incredible fountain on the outside. The salon is beautiful with this incredible energy that sets the pampering mood. I was scheduled with Roman for a dye and cut. He then styled my hair for the occasion. I had my makeup done by Skye. I walked out of that salon looking and feeling like a million bucks! Everyone complimented me on my look and went prefectly with my outfit. I would highly, highly recommend this salon to a family, friend, or stranger for any occasion. Leaving this review here cause the owner of the salon tried to delete the pictures from Facebook and lie about the condition of my hair. $600, 4 bleach treatments and a lot of wasted time later- and I still have a large band of discolored hair running through the middle of my head. I'm not happy with my hair at all, and it's embarrassing to wear... it looks like a bad box-dye job. To top it all off the cut is uneven. I went back 2 times to let them redeem themselves (and they made me pay an additional $140) from this mess and this is what I ended up with. I went to Skyrokh once a year for the past 3 years to get my hair done- the last time I had visited was in February 2018. I booked an apt 2 weeks ago and had 7 inches of growth (~level 6 color) and my hair was a solid level 9 from there on out. All I asked was that my growth be bleached and then we tone it all out to a very light grey. After leaving my review on Facebook- the owner *who wasn't at the salon during my appointment or the two other appointment attempts to fix my hair* tried to tell me that I came in with color bands in my hair and that what I asked for takes more than one appointment. The issue is- I had no color bands cause I hadn't done my hair in an entire year and I remember leaving detailed notes telling them my hair needed at least a full day of work to which they only scheduled six hours. After a total of 13 hours spent in their salon, a pair of pants ruined by Roman getting bleach on them and my pockets out $600. My hair looks like I box dyed it and I have yet to receive any type of remediation (only combative responses) from anyone at Skyrokh. read more

My hair was blessed by Roman shortly after COVID. I had just had Irish twins and for a whole year I was locked away from managing any kind of self-care. Roman revived my dull warm blonde into a beautiful shiny spring blonde. My hair is very very long and takes color very fast, but never realized how to properly manage it until Roman educated me. He's well-versed in his craft and highly responsible with his talents. Each time I get my hair done, I tell him to do his thing because his vision for the evolution of my hair is not something I see. He seamlessly managed myself and an older lady that came in about an hour and a half into my appointment. I was handed off to Sky for rinse and rejuvenation. The atmosphere is mature and majestic. My conversations between staff (including Roman and Sky) were effortless and seamless as well. The flow of the environment at Skyrokh couldn't be matched. I've been seeing Roman for three years now. I travel full-time and when I'm in Houston, my trip is scheduled around getting in to Skyrokh for some much needed self-care. Due to travels, I've seen one other salon out of town, but it's just not Skyrokh. There's longevity in Roman's hard work. I was able to go nearly a year without my hair being touched because of how he placed highlights in in my hair. Skyrokh should be the Salon of The Woodlands. read more

If the new date didn't work for me, I was told I would have to wait up to a month to get another appointment. When I asked about the price going up, the owner's wife became belligerent. Why oh why did I not stumble into this salon so much sooner? The so few reviews? The business' deeply tinted windows? The strip mall location? Do not be discouraged!! Just call and make an appointment ASAP! The salon is very clean and comfortable. One of the best bowls I have ever had my hair washed in- it was very comfortable! Add in the head massage and the hand massage and the warm towels... oh my! The receptionist is incredibly friendly and very helpful. They have beverages waiting for you and snacks and loads of magazines. EVERYONE working in the salon is friendly and clearly knowledgeable about their trade. EVERY patron in the salon left with amazing looking hair. These folks really know the art and importance of the blow dry and style. My stylist was Gabriel and he was fantastic. He made me feel very comfortable about cutting several inches and adding in layers that will allow my cut to grow (I tend to wait too long between cuts) without appearing like I need a cut. He did not rush and I never felt like a number in his chair. The cut was affordable- you are going to an Aveda salon, not Texas Hair Team or Great Cuts- so definitely worth it. I disagree with the statement of it being a splurge, I found it very reasonable for the quality of product, service and time spent on me. read more

Aveda products and a convenient location drew me to Skyrokh a few years ago. My stylist is Stephanie and she is very talented, full of ideas and experienced. I trust her judgement and she's not steered me wrong yet. Everyone is very friendly at Skrokh and I love my appointments because I know I can sit back and relax. My appointment was at 5:30, I got to the plaza early and went next door to waste time, then I got a call saying my stylist was available early! Which was perfect! Roman took his time, yet moved efficiently while cutting my hair! I swear my hair has never been cut so straight! He really did an excellent job! After I got a terrible haircut from Gabriel and gave them feedback online, the team at Skyrokh emailed me back promptly and asked me to come in so they could try and help me fix my hair. While I was hesitant to come back in, everyone was so nice and apologetic. The owner Michael assured me that this would not happen again. He tried to fix my hair (not much could be done though) and told me that he would continue to see me while my awful haircut grew out. Yeah, that's going to take months though.. I never thought that a business would take their reviews so seriously, but Skyrokh definitely cares about their clients. While Gabriel did a terrible job, the rest of the Skyrokh team is amazing. They really cared about how I felt and assured me that their customer service is up to par. My only reservation about Skyrokh is that something should have been done to fix my hair the day I got it cut, rather than having to go back in 2 days later. That, and the fact that Gabriel was recommended in the first place. Overall, my experience with Skyrokh has been positive. In the past I have had great haircuts with Sam. So while nothing can fix my bad haircut, my faith in the team at Skyrokh has been restored. They were professional and courteous, and assured me that this bad haircut would never happen again. Also, Gabriel does not work there anymore (apparently I'm not the only one to have a bad experience with him). I will be coming back here in May, but now I know to stick with my preferred stylist. This is a fabulous Salon! The staff are some of the friendliest people I've come across since moving here. I've been going here for years and Michael (owner) gives just incredible cuts that are what one would expect of salons in New York that take months to get into. He can be expensive but OH SO WORTH IT!! And I have silver hair which isn't forgiving on any coloring that isn't perfect - anyway these guys always do incredible color where people will stop me to compliment my hair. First steps into this salon and I knew I was going to walk out a with as a refreshed, upbeat, vibrant brunette! This place oozes trendiness from the decor to the vibrant staff and their own trendy hair styles, to the sun chip bags laid out for you to nibble on. As soon as you walk in your greeted by the sweetest receptionist who brings you to the waiting area where you put on your salon apron and asked if you'd like something to drink or any magazines to read while you wait for your appt. Next a "shampoo apprentice" (yes that is the first time I've heard of that job position too) brings you to your chair where your scalp is then outlined with Vaseline to protect your forehead and ears from the hair color. Super awesome b/c I usually leave salons with half my ears and neck brown. My hair stylist Stephanie is super amazing! Thank you Yelpers for the reviews of her. Did I mention I just moved to Texas and am 2 hair appointments away from my wedding day so I truly trusted my Yelp reviews. She was great! She is not only a hair color master but also a salon educator. Throughout the whole styling process she explained what she used in my hair and taught me how to blow dry my hair and create beachy waves using the "wand" styling tool (which I can't wait to buy). The "shampoo apprentice" not only shampoos your hair but you also massages your scalp,neck, and gives you a hand rub. I was shocked, I didn't expect such service. Everyone is like one big family there and so helpful towards each other which I commented on. I'm so happy with my hair color and cut and so glad I found a great stylist on the first try especially since I've been going to my last stylist for the past 9 years. Do be aware though that you are paying for what you get so don't be surprised if you end up leaving $200+ less than what you walked in with. read more

Then she did a full when all I asked for was a partial and charged me almost 160$ for an average look. Not happy with the final result. Probably will not be returning. read more

I have naturally curly hair, and Michael is the only one who has actually cut and colored my hair right... and made it to where I can manage it easily. He is awesome with color! Not only can you see the rich colors when I flat iron my hair, but also when it is curly! Huge deal! It is a worth every penny to know your hair is going to look fabulous! I recently moved to The Woodlands and found this salon online. I was very excited because it seemed very nice online and was an Aveda salon (I usually have luck at Aveda salons). The first time I went, I was not happy with my cut but I really didn't speak up so I decided when I went a couple months later I would be more vocal. I went just a few days ago and saw a different stylist and have gone from unhappy to angry. I asked for a sleek bob (something I have had for years) and ended up with with something just horrible. It is poofy and is thinned out in some areas and not in others. In the areas where it was not thinned out (which is most of it) it has a big round curl at the ends. The back of my hair has a weird "v" at the bottom. It didn't seem so bad when I left the salon but when I tried to fix it the next day at home, the ends are not close to even!! I was in my bathroom with a pair of scissors trying to even out the ends (we are talking 1/2" difference on each side). I was nearly in tears. I feel like I gave this salon adequate effort. It is a trendy salon which is appealing but the stylists have no idea what they are doing. The stylist the second visit cut my hair dry. WHAT?!?! I've had cleanup when it is dry before but never a full cut. Don't waste your time or money. You will end up unhappy. read more

This salon is beautiful & the stylist are truly experts. I have been going to Michael for over 18 years. I have followed him thru all the different salons he has worked at. Skyrokh combines all the elements of a better salon, you feel pampered & taken care of. Michael is a talented colorist & also can help you decide on the best style for your face & will also advise you as to which style will actually work with your hair. His pricing is from moderate to pricey, the same as going to any Master stylist, you definitely get your money's worth. Love the Aveda products! Really my favorite part is the shampoo, nothing beats a good massaging shampoo. I love that when I leave I am happy with my hair, definitely worth a visit, I bet you will want to go back. read more

I had my second appointment with Stephanie at Skyrokh on Wednesday, and since I "found" Skyrokh though reviews on here, I thought I would add my two cents. First, I must say that I am giving Skyrokh five stars because they earned them - it seems like it's frowned upon to give five stars for your first review, but if I weren't so happy with the service I received there, I wouldn't be bothering to write about it. Stephanie is an amazing stylist - I have been searching for the right stylist for me since moving here nearly two years ago, and she is The One. She's a former instructor at the Aveda Institute and gives you tips throughout the process on how you can style your hair at home. She does a great job of cutting my hair - it looks amazing and is very flattering. She doesn't push products, but is happy to suggest them and tell you the best ones for what you want your hair to do (or not do). She instinctively finds the right balance between chit chat and letting you zone out if that's your preference. I love the Salon's decor and ambiance, and I have had excellent experiences both with making the appointment over the phone, and with service at check in and check out. A scalp massage and hand massage are part of the service when you have your hair cut, and the shampoo assistants do an incredible job - and they ask first if you would like the massage, which I appreciate. I think the prices are reasonable, considering what other salons in The Woodlands charge, so I am happy in that regard. I highly recommend checking out Skyrokh. read more

I'm not a review person, but I want to share that Amber is the best stylist I've ever had. I have a thick head of hair and have always struggled with being able to style it. Amber's cuts have made my hair a no fuss and it truly looks great and holds shape. I've been going to her for about 6 months now after trying several places in The Woodlands from our move here 2.5 years ago. If I could give a negative one star, I would. I don't know how this salon does with hair, but I can tell you that I would not go to them for makeup if it was my last option. I needed my makeup done for prom and I rather go to prom with no makeup on at all rather than what I was given. I had pictures of how I wanted my eye makeup to be. But before I get into the actual makeup let me just state that I had an appointment and I still had to wait about 20 minuets past my appointment time, making me late to my hair appointment. Anyway, I had shown the makeup "artist" the pictures plenty of times and she had my phone to look at them so I am confused as to why my makeup turned out like crap. To start off, I got airbrush makeup. I don't know what happened but it was the worst looking airbrush ever. I had a giant dark spot on my forehead and streaks across my nose. Secondly, when the picture I showed her clearly used a light, golden brown to smoke out the bottom lash line, this lady did not use golden brown, she used BLACK. Straight up midnight, very harsh black on my bottom lash line. It looked terrible. I'm so confused as to why she used black. She also did a sloppy job at applying my false lashes and didn't even bother to put mascara on my bottom lashes. Also, my eye makeup was supposed to be a brown/purple plum color in the crease and not at all was there purple anywhere on my eyes. It gets worse. She did a winged eyeliner and it was so bad. The wing was so small and curled upward into some kind of little ball. Also, before she even let my eyeliner dry she told me to look up so I had black lines across my lids where my eyeliner was still wet. As for blush, it was so harsh and un-blended I don't even know what happened. After telling her three times not to do anything with my Lips because I had my own lipstick she insisted on lining my lips and putting on a gloss. I hate lip Gloss. Not only did she refuse to leave my lips alone, she also charged me for the lip gloss without telling me or asking if I wanted it. Once I was finally able to see the completed makeup my eyes just watered and I had to bite my tongue to not cry. I felt like a complete fool because other girls where looking at me with the ugliest faces thinking "why the hell is her makeup like that". I ended up having to pay over 60 and when I got in my car I cried it all off. I finally went to my Hair salon, best salon I have ever been to, and they were willing to fix my makeup disaster for free. The girl who worked on me truly did an amazing job on fixing my makeup and she actually put purple On my eyes! All in all, I will never return to this salon. I would not even wish my makeup Experience from this place on my greatest enemy. read more

This salon is amazing. They use fabulous Aveda products and the environment is calm and relaxing. Skyrokh creates a complete salon experience- with wonderful smells, hand massages and beverages/snacks. I have been a client of Amber for a while and I am always impressed with what she does to my hair. This place does not value customer satisfaction! I had referred other friends to this place and can't believe the level of service I received after a hair color that I was not happy with. I went in for a natural looking highlight before the holidays, I'm a new mom and wanted something nice for myself. After leaving the salon with a partial dry, because it's extra for a full dry/style. I came home, styled it, and realized that this was not the natural look I had asked for. I gave it a few days, it being the week of Thanksgiving, went in to have it corrected and was told it would be an addational charge. I did like the head massage and hand massage during the shampooing, but I would not recommend there hair services to anyone looking for a new salon. read more

I have let no one but Michael Sievers touch my hair for the past 7 years -- he is a genius with color, and I can't tell you how often total strangers blurt out "I love your hairstyle!" That's pretty amazing given my unruly, thick and wavy hair. The AVEDA salon is really marvelous -- beautiful, soothing colors and materials, and a shampoo that includes a decadent hand massage and relaxing hot towel over your eyes ... I always hate it when that part ends! The whole place has a wonderfully friendly, family feeling. Good people, awesome hair style and color. I can't recommend it highly enough! read more

I just got my hair done for my son's wedding, went in with long dark hair and came out with burnt greenish hair. The Salon lighting is dark inside, so you can't see the true color. Now 1 week later, I have shoulder length hair, due to the damage hair!!! $200.00 wasted!!! read more
