Sal's Pizza was just sitting right there in the shopping complex where I was running errands and since it was lunch time you know I had to go give them a try. Walking in it's a pretty unusual entrance bc there's a vestibule and then a long hallway before you get to the counter. The counter had lots of pies on display and being that it was my first visit I had to go with a plain slice to see what they were talking about ... but I also picked up a broccoli, tomato and garlic slice as well. Both slices were DELICIOUS! Perfect cheese to sauce ratio on the plain and lots of broccoli, tomato, garlic and cheese on the other. The gentleman at the counter was also really friendly as well. We love Sal's for their pizza. Close, quick, and delicious. There are a lot of really good food places in this area and we have a go-to depending on our order. Sal's has great plain pies, nice thin crispy crust, delicious sauce, and great deal for 2 plain pies. We also frequently order their BBQ and Buffalo chicken pies. The BBQ chicken pie is our favorite in the area. The Buffalo isn't the best in the area but it's REALLY good and mild enough for the wife and kids to eat, so it gets the overall family vote. VEGGIE WHITE PIE. If you like white pizza this is one of the best around. Salads aren't bad, we usually go with the Italian. Got the job done. Ordered the Vegetable White Pizza (Broccoli, spinach and garlic) and a side of french fries to go back to a hotel with. They were both really good. Who just left a 1 star review on this place you forgot the part where you started screaming and calling the Hispanic staff "spics" The kitchen was looking for you to give you your slice and you were no where to be found. according to them you started screaming "where's my slice" 15 mins later. Ithink following directions is essential when making someone's food. I was looking for a convenient place to get a good sub and complete chores. I chose Sal's and asked if they take specific orders in making subs. I was told yes. I saw the young lady write down my order but it wasn't followed. It seemed intentional to me because I specifically asked lite mayonnaise with spicy mustard and I received a sandwich full of so much mayonnaise it could be squeezed out of the sandwich. Hate to admit that after many years of attending court in the same complex, that I never noticed Sal's Pizzeria before this week. So, after an afternoon session, and hungry from skipping lunch, I drove around to the front of this oldish commercial strip center and spied this TPie shop. Upon entry, I was struck by the orange and yellow walls in the surprising large restaurant. Although dated, it had a wholesome ambiance conducive to an Italian meal. Given the hour, I went with a single slice of Traditional Pizza with Sweet Sausage, and a drink. Good choice, as the slice was larger than average. I asked for it "well done," and that was what I received. Upon lifting off the large attractively orange plate, I was immediately impressed that despite its size and extra weight from the topside, the point held firm and high with nary a quiver. First bite was a full blown crunch through cheese, sauce and meat; all of which were received warmly with pleasure in my mouth. It was a very good slice of pizza, despite being reheated. With this lunch coming in under $5. I was very satisfied with the experience, and will not be a stranger to Sal's. The rest of the menu listed the usual suspects. If done as well as their pies, I will become a regular customer when in Mt. Holly. read more

Ordered from here via Uber Eats. I ordered holly fries and a cheese pizza, in the special restaurant instructions space I wrote "please add a side of ranch, a fork and extra napkins. Thank you!" When my order arrived the fries were a soggy, greasy mess, there was no ranch, no silverware and no napkins. What kind of restaurant doesn't give their customers silverware or napkins? Funny enough one of my favorite pizza places for great NY pizza is in Mamaroneck NY for also named Sals. This one is not as good but pretty good. 2 slices and a small drink $6 special including sicilian but not the specialty sicilian he had. By lunchtime they had a pretty decent selection of pies to choose from which is always a good thing. Taste was good, could have used more sauce for sure but still tasty. Good amount of seating inside and guy at the counter was very friendly. Good customer service counts for a lot. read more

The Last Supper: I've had nothing but great experiences with Sal's Pizzera, that all changed tonight (12 Sept 19). I ordered a large works pizza, along with fried zucchini. The delivery person (the owner) drops my food on my porch, and then has the nerve to call me and ask how much of a tip can he put on my card. I went through the roof. I've had pizza here about 5 times now and think it's really good. The first 4 times I ate in and loved it. The crust was thin and crisp and cooked just right. I like crust done and crispy and that is just what I got. The cheese was good but the sauce differentiates this place. I think it is heavy on garlic which is why I like it. The down side for me is the 5th time I tried delivery. I live in Lumberton and it took about an hour to get here and the order wasn't hot it was barely warm. I ordered a plain cheese and some wings and they wing weren't very saucy. I'd recommend this place to eat in but don't order delivery if you live in Lumberton. I walked in and waited literally about 5 minutes for someone to come to the front so I could pick up my to go order. 5 minutes into my wait, a gentleman walked in also waiting for assistance. A couple minutes later a man came out the back, looked at me waiting at the register , then looked at the gentleman behind me seated at a table, and says to him "how can I help you?" The gentleman pointed to me and said "she was 1st", the employee says "okay, but how can I help you" Uhmmm what??!! Spent last spring & summer at JB MDL (Fort Dix) -- Sal's was a favorite place to go for big pizza slices; great food & great prices, too. Sals is always consistent with the pizza. I'm a big fan of the crust and sauce. I have never tried any of the meals. I will say they have some of the worst wings ever. I'm not sure if they use old oil or what but they are not good, same goes for the fries. They have deep dish pizza but the crust is not that good. Too airy. This business is definitely under the assumption that good food justifies terrible customer service and poor business practices. No matter what the dollar amount of your purchase is they charge you a surcharge for using your debit card which is illegal in New Jersey not to mention those surcharges are a tax write off to the business. Simple logic would be to raise the product pricing to an amount that would include a padding for the cost of doing business. Additionally, the employees become quite defensive and argumentative upon questioning of their practices to the extent of blame shifting the issue. This is sad to see good food with poor management and business practices..if you order food and don't arrive within 20 minutes you can expect it to be cold because the "cant warm it" and will tell you it is your fault for being late! Interestingly, most other pizza places will make an effort to keep your food warm. read more
