There are some amazing things about this theatre space…read more I love the way the doors can slide open so on nice Orlando nights it's like an open air entrance. I love how beautiful the stairwell is going up to two. I love how much they have expanded their food and beverage line up over the years. The sound tends to be pretty good, the communication from the theatre is always amazing. They waive fees if you come to the box office to buy your tickets. The seats are comfy and almost every seat has a solid view. The box seats are the exception so be warned. The volunteers are always amazing and they are so nice. It would be cool if they opened a second location that served coffee because that line for espresso beverages is always really long. I love the breadth of show types. There's always something for everyone.

Wednesday, March 18, 2026…read more Front Row, Center Tickets to Ms. Diana Ross' Concert Performance I've been to numerous events at the Dr. Phillips Center but nothing beats having the opportunity to see a legend perform within arms-length to where you're seated. And when that "Icon of Icons" is none other than Ms. Diana Ross...well, nothing else need be said. It was a dream come true to say the least. In my most previous update of the Dr. Phillips Center I indicated meeting with and having my photograph taken with the incredible soprano Sarah Brightman was an entertainment highlight of 2025. 2026 has just begun but I will have to use the superlative "spectacular" once again. As in a spectacular show from start to finish. Diana Ross may be 81 years old!...but she still has the voice and ahem...the moves of a much younger performer. Just think of this, she was performing with the Supremes in the 1960's. I wasn't even born and by the time I was she had 12 number one singles with the OG of girl groups! And she is still working it to this day. Ms. Ross sung a multitude of her hits which kept the crowd, and my sister and I, dancing and singing throughout the evening. However, when she started to belt out Gloria Gaynor's anthem "I Will Survive" that really got the audience out of their seats. An Icon singing and Iconic piece of music is an experience second to none. Ms. Ross, you and your mark on music history is unmatched...blessings to you and your family!

They…read morewere very well organized and I did not expect such professionalism and talent in a community theatre, especially with their youth group! The singing was top notch and their projection was amazing! The actors and actresses were ALL very committed to their roles and the costumes were so cute and spot on! The also had a live orchestra and they played oh so beautifully. Staff was energetic very helpful and happy, which is very appreciated. I got to meet Melody, she was very sweet and kind. I can't wait to see what else you guys have in store!

What a true joy to see this team of young actors perform my childhood favorites wIth such skill and perfection. With great voices, choreography, and acting, this production is well worth your time and investment. The cast is funny, thoughtful and poignant (yes I sniffed a little at the end). Technically the show was amazing as well. The lighting, orchestra and sets were well done and the direction was top notch Happiness is... seeing community theater at this caliber!

This was a super fun night out even for an orlando "native". We took Mom for her birthday. She…read moreloves magic and this didn't disappoint. The magician even got my brother up for some audience participation which was a feat of magic in itself as Billy isn't really a willing participant in being front and center. The venue is actually what is usually a small hotel ballroom, but it was a good size for a magic show. I highly recommend the vip seating for two reasons: 1. The reserved seating access is for the first two rows. I think it would be harder to see everything further back. I was row two and it was hard because everyone in the first row was super tall that night. And 2. A drink from the hotel lobby bar is included and they had some good stuff....including the blueberry sage mocktail I got! The wife of the magician is a lovely hostess getting everyone checked in and seated before doing her magician assistant duties during the show. The magic was well performed and had some illusions that really had jaws dropping! Overall I didn't find it as "naughty or adult" as it was advertised, but it was occasionally cheeky and ultimately good fun!

I'm giving 3 stars for the amazing staff and performers only. They deserve 5 stars but…read moreunfortunately I can't rate individually. The food was the problem. I expected better for the price. I understand I'm paying for the food and entertainment. But I've had better tasting fast food. Maybe it was an off night for them? Maybe they ran out of potatoes and had to use instant grainy tasting mashed potatoes? I don't know. The salad looked and tasted sad. It was servered on a warm plate. The lettuce was hot like it had been boiled. The crotons were stale and flavorless. No idea what sort of dressing they put on it. It was clear like water ( which at first I really thought maybe they had boiled the lettuce because of the tasteless clear fluids on my plate) I didn't upgrade my meal because I enjoy herb chicken, mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. But my chicken was super dry. So dry I couldn't chew it and swallow. So I couldn't eat that. My chicken also still had some of it's feathers left behind on its drum leg. Already spoke about the grainy mashed potatoes. Which is just sad. Who chargers that price and serves box instant potatoes and then can't make them correctly enough to cook it until the grainy texture is out? Did they not taste their cooking before serving it? The mixed veggies were so salty that I would have had a heart attack if I had eaten them. I did do the $20 meat upgrade for my husband of the Filet Mignon. I put down medium rare. They confirmed medium rare at check him. He got well done and beyond. Pink? No where on the steak. Gray? The very center was a little gray in color. The outer edges were a brownish black. He could barely chew it. His mashed potatoes were just as mine were and so were his vegetables. We got the cheesecake for dessert. I should say we got the box cheesecake for dessert. You know the kind you buy frozen at the grocery store. It was the only thing edible. Thank goodness staff were friendly and the show nice. Will we do it again? No. Which I hate because we really love stuff like this. And we go to stuff like this often. But this was the worst in food we've been served and not the best in entertainment we've seen. It's also not the most we've spent on entertainment but its the most we've wasted on it. So even though the staff and performers were lovely people. They can't make up for the price in what the kitchen put out. Poor quality in pictures, sorry. The room was dem and dark with color lighting for the show and foggy for the time period. To represent the time when you could smoke inside.
