I'm giving 3 stars for the amazing staff and performers only. They deserve 5 stars but unfortunately I can't rate individually. The food was the problem. I expected better for the price. I understand I'm paying for the food and entertainment. But I've had better tasting fast food. Maybe it was an off night for them? Maybe they ran out of potatoes and had to use instant grainy tasting mashed potatoes? I don't know. The salad looked and tasted sad. It was servered on a warm plate. The lettuce was hot like it had been boiled. The crotons were stale and flavorless. No idea what sort of dressing they put on it. It was clear like water ( which at first I really thought maybe they had boiled the lettuce because of the tasteless clear fluids on my plate) I didn't upgrade my meal because I enjoy herb chicken, mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. But my chicken was super dry. So dry I couldn't chew it and swallow. So I couldn't eat that. My chicken also still had some of it's feathers left behind on its drum leg. Already spoke about the grainy mashed potatoes. Which is just sad. Who chargers that price and serves box instant potatoes and then can't make them correctly enough to cook it until the grainy texture is out? Did they not taste their cooking before serving it? The mixed veggies were so salty that I would have had a heart attack if I had eaten them. I did do the $20 meat upgrade for my husband of the Filet Mignon. I put down medium rare. They confirmed medium rare at check him. He got well done and beyond. Pink? No where on the steak. Gray? The very center was a little gray in color. The outer edges were a brownish black. He could barely chew it. His mashed potatoes were just as mine were and so were his vegetables. We got the cheesecake for dessert. I should say we got the box cheesecake for dessert. You know the kind you buy frozen at the grocery store. It was the only thing edible. Thank goodness staff were friendly and the show nice. Will we do it again? No. Which I hate because we really love stuff like this. And we go to stuff like this often. But this was the worst in food we've been served and not the best in entertainment we've seen. It's also not the most we've spent on entertainment but its the most we've wasted on it. So even though the staff and performers were lovely people. They can't make up for the price in what the kitchen put out. Poor quality in pictures, sorry. The room was dem and dark with color lighting for the show and foggy for the time period. We went to the Speakeasy Murder Mystery Show as a team building event, and had an amazing night! We weren't sure what to expect, but if you're going, here are some things to consider: 1. Parking is free in the lot next to/behind the building. 2. The building hosts more than one show, so don't let that confuse you. 3. The food is so much better than other shows we've been to! 4. The cast is AMAZING! 5. The Jewel isn't a "real money" gambling establishment. You make a donation to purchase chips, then use any winnings to select prizes. But it is fun! 6. The audience decides who gets arrested, but you do find out who the real killer is at the end of the night. We all got it wrong. Such a fun evening!!! read more

I attended this murder mystery dinner show with a large group of other volunteers from GKTW. Overall, it was a fun experience. We started in the casino/bar area for drinks first. The atmosphere was great. After a little while we walked into the theatre and selected our seats. Servers came around pretty quickly to take our orders. I had the chicken dinner which was pretty good. The show started fairly quickly after we were seated. It lasted about two hours and was entertaining. Chill roaring 20's interactive dinner show. It's connected to the pirates dinner adventure show. There's a casino lounge before you enter the dinning hall via bookcase door opening. You can pay cash for Chips but the chips you win cannot be traded for money, on one of the three tables you can trade for costume jewelry and trinkets. There's a craps table, roulette table and black jack table. The show was good but had some scenes where it lost our attention. The food was mediocre especially our upgraded filet mignon. Should have been cooked better than it was flavor wise. The cut did not seem like a true filet mignon either. More like a chop steak or little sirloin. Our server had an entire section and it was a full house she did the best she could. Overall I may try this place again in the future but will not order the filet mignon. The actors were amazing in this speakeasy murder mystery! From the moment you walk into the door, you notice all the decor and become fully immersed in the 1920s speakeasy theme. This was one of the best cast I've seen for a murder mystery show. They really do shine here and bring the whole story together. The downside was the dinner part. We had a large group so I tried a few dishes but unfortunately the steak with a bit overcooked and the chicken was dry. Not my favorite dining experience but I was here for the show. read more

We checked out the Speakeasy Murder Mystery dinner show last night and had so much fun! First of all, you do need a password to get in. When you enter, you're in a lounge with casino tables and a bar. This area is actually open to the public starting at 5:30 each day, for drinks and games and it is all ages. The casino games are for charity and you can use any chips you win on prizes, like an arcade. We had a great time learning how to play the games and having some drinks before the show. Some of the actors even walk around and talk to you while you're in that first lounge. To get into the dining area once the show begins, you actually go through an entry hidden behind a bookcase! The show itself is very fun! Had a few dated jokes like one about Ashton Kutcher and one about Dick Cheney... lol which I'm pretty sure anyone younger than the mid to elder millennials didn't really get, but seems like a lot of it is improv, so you can expect different shows each time. The murderer is different each time too. There is also fake money on the table you can use to bribe the characters for information during intermission. If you have any left over, you can exchange it for a sticker or magnet at the end too! We had about 4 of the cocktails. The salted caramel espresso martini was our favorite. We also upgraded our meals to the filet Mignon, which was good. My daughter had the kids chicken nuggets and Mac n cheese. We also ordered mozzarella sticks and jalapeno poppers for an upcharge. Everything but the meal itself and the brownie and cheesecake desserts, cost extra. All pretty reasonably priced though. The staff and actors are all so friendly and fun! We had SO MUCH fun and will definitely be bringing our friends and family back, as well as just popping in to the lounge for some drinks and casino games. read more

My boyfriend and I went for Father's Day. We LOVED it!!! Our only complaint was the food. I paid extra for his salmon dinner and he said "it tastes like a frozen patty". HOWEVER, the show itself was so good, funny, and they involved the audience. They also had an area to bet like in the prohibition era. I didn't want to play the roulette wheel, but when they said that the proceeds go toward suicide prevention, we played. I would go again (minus the food). The show itself is a 5 star show but I was disappointed with several elements of the experience. First I booked months and since I've been at this venue before, I inquired about seating but was informed that we couldn't select our seats. Last time we had center stage seats and this time we had seats at the far left of the stage. This resulted in a brief interaction with 2 of the actors prior to the show (we arrived 30 minutes before). Others closer to the stage got a clear view of the stage, could see the additional cues and interacted with all actors. Our server was super slow and was unfamiliar with beverages. One person in my group requested a Patron margarita and the other a Tito's and tonic. Server was confused and ended up handing both of my companions her iPad to select drinks. We got half of our drinks 20 minutes later and the "special" ones were brought by a different server much later. Food was decent. It is as expected in events like this so we knew what to expect. Unfortunately my main course was cold. I would have liked it at least warm. Also different tables were served at different times so their timing is off. I'm unsure if I'd go back to another event at this venue although the actors were great and the show was entertaining. They are lacking in their logistics department and my server was not good. read more

The food was good. I paid the upcharge and had the filet mignon. It was cooked well and I thought it tasted delicious. The other two in the party got the chicken and pasta. Both also enjoyed their meals. The show was funny and the cast were engaging. They tended to get a little out of character when something really funny happened, but it added to my enjoyment. The layout was excellent. We were right next to the stage and had to crane our necks a bit when the actors were at the front of the stage, but you can't complain when you have a front row seat. From the entrance to the preshow to the theatre, you definitely feel like you are doing something shady and underhanded. It was great! read more

I have now seen the Speakeasy show several times and everytime it is great! From walking in with a sectet code and meeting Bubbles, and then Ms. Kitty and all of her goods, which adds to the show, it makes you feel immersed. All of the actors are awesome and their chemistry is great! I have a few that I love their seens the most, the first one is Tommy, his voice is awesome and then his seen as the conductor helping out Larry makes me roar everytime. Then there's mama, thats all I have to say about her, shes great from the get go, and the new song with Tommy and Larry is the best!!!! Truthfully everyone of the actors make this show so much fun! The improve at the end is the best! I love that I never know what's coming next, which is what makes it awesome and different everytime I see it! Thanks for the laughs! read more

This place is really cool when you first start going to this place and you walk in you are already being played and you don't realize it and there's mystery hints all around you but you're not paying attention because you think that you're waiting for your table reality is that the game is already started. Sorry to give it away. But if you pay attention close enough, which none of us did, there's a hint dropped a lot in the beginning. Some of us were looking at these people like they were crazy, but it turns out they were all part of the whole entire show. We had so much fun. We went there as a company and we had a blast. The food was OK. I would say very microwavable kind of food but honestly, the show made it spectacular if they got their food at a level of you know at least you know three stars you know or four stars that would be amazing if they did that but then they would have to charge more. It was a great time! My mom and I went for her birthday and we loved it! The actors are very good and the server was lovely. I didn't expect the food but it was actually great!! I had a simple marinara penne and my mom had the pesto but we both genuinely enjoyed the dinner and the onion rings. The drinks were just okay but nothing to complain about. The energy in there was super nice and the picture set up was great for keeping memories. The show was great and well acted. We were very entertained by the actors. There are some great singers in their cast. We enjoyed the waiting room that had drinks and some Vegas style games like Roulette and Blackjack. After a few beverages it was time to enter the theater through a secret door. Once we were seated we could see the stage very well. The food was served after a Caesar salad. We had the chicken which was served warm and was tasty and delicious. Cooked to perfection. I enjoyed my desert as well. As the evening progressed I laughed out loud many times and enjoyed the banter with the cast, many plot turns and unexpected revelations. Teatro Martini's Speakeasy Murder is an absolute blast. From the secret password entrance to the fully immersive 1920s speakeasy (flappers, hidden doors, gaming tables), they commit 100%. The cast is fantastic and stays in character the entire night. My daughter LOVED Mama Schiaperelli and was thrilled to be called out by name on stage. The crowd was so into it that many guests came dressed in full 1920s attire. We went to Sleuths a few years ago and left unimpressed -- this blew it out of the water. So good my son now wants his birthday party here. Fun, interactive, and unforgettable. read more

We had an awesome time! From the moment you walk in you are taken back to the prohibition era. The place is beautiful inside!! The costumes were amazing and the dinner was good as well. I do feel that the dinner could be a little better but it was good, not bad at all. The brownie they gave for dessert was a little hard though, I think that people would be happier with a slice of chocolate or white cake. We definitely recommend this experience to anyone looking for something new. Also, everyone was nice and worked together like a well oiled machine. This place has problems all over. When you purchase through Groupon (I don't know if they do this for everyone), you have to submit a google doc REQUEST to make a reservation on their website. They then let you know when you can come, so you don't even know what day your reservation is for or if they have availability for the day you are trying to reserve until they get back to you. When I hadn't received any response a day before the first requested date, I called to find out if we had a reservation only to find out they sent the confirmation to the wrong email address, not the one I provided. If I hadn't called, we never would have known we were booked. The show was fun, but as said in other reviews there was no clear answer as to whether or not the crowd guessed the murderer correctly or not. The murderer is guessed by the audience and there is no attempt to reveal clues that may have been missed. You leave without knowing if you were right. The actors were great and the jokes were funny, but it was frustrating not having the mystery be solved. The service was some of the worst I've experienced. Every time we turned around, our waiter was just leaning against the bar while other servers were attending to their tables. We saw several tables served food before we even got our drinks. We were served flat sodas and when I said something about it, our server did nothing. He scoffed at us, didn't replace the drinks and of course we were charged for them. After that we sat with empty glasses through the end of the show. I had also clearly stated, put on our reservation in advance, and then reminded our waiter on arrival that I have a food allergy and the very first thing he brought me had my allergen on the plate and I had to send it back. I then took care to remind him with everything he handed me that I have an allergy and I made him confirm that the plate was free from the allergen. The food was mediocre at best. The vegetables tasted like they had been boiled in dirty foot water. All of the food was bland and tasted like there was NO seasoning. Like none in the building. It was pretty sad and even the other person in our party who does not have allergies felt the food was flavorless. I was also told the pasta had been very overcooked. There was an accidental spill that hit the chair next to me and the floor. I flagged down the manager and he replaced the soiled chair, but did not clean the mess from the floor. That was a huge slip/fall hazard and someone, guest or one of the actors, could have fallen because of it. I'm sure their insurance carrier would love to know about that. All in all, SEVERELY overpriced and not worth it. Won't be going back. read more

The rest of the restaurant was already on dessert before we got our meals until. When we finally did receive our food it was inedible with no taste.
