He's been good enough to work with us to make it possible to use his space for dance events on Monday(Lindy Hop) and Thursdays(Blues) and personally invests his time to give us whatever we need to help grow the community with little benefit to himself. Stop by and check it out, in addition to the two nights we use the space they have most any type of dance you'd like to learn the rest of the week. It's a little out of the way, in a somewhat industrial area, but it's safe and easy to get to.

It is unfortunate that families who are struggling financially don't have any options in that way. They are very professional and high quality. Sometimes gets very crowded, this can make you feel less "individual" as the teacher's don't have much time to spend with students personally, only the class as a whole. On our first visit, she…read morelistened to our wedding song, and took a minute to figure out a style of dance that would fit, and suggested it to see if we liked it. She then worked with us to learn some steps that would be elegant but not too difficult for beginners to learn. The instruction progressed from just learning the basic steps to polishing our form, posture, rhythm, etc. If I or my fiancée didn't understand something, she used different methods to help: explaining, memory cues, standing in for one of us, or doing the steps by herself with one of us behind her mirroring her moves. Her friendly charm made it a delight to attend the classes, and I'm glad we went with her instead of another studio. Based on another dance instruction estimate I had received, we ended up getting twice the amount of individual instruction at half the cost. We plan to take more dance lessons with Patty sometime in the near future.
