I paid for an initial consultation to discuss tax implications of short term rentals. I wouldn't normally review, but I wish I could have read a review like this before I paid so much! She interrupted me repeatedly when I asked my questions. She would take one word I said and go on long tangents and stories about other clients, etc. What's worse is she was honestly just rude. She got mad at me and seemed appalled at the questions I had. I tried to ask her to look at some of the literature I had read about STRs and she would not, saying that she already knew all about it. Which, maybe she does, but I was there to have her help walk me through and understand the process better and she was not willing to. The entire meeting was extremely frustrating and it took everything I had to not just walk out. I still can't believe I paid so much for such an irritating and unproductive experience. Janet seems very knowledgeable, but did not seem so on the STR side of real estate, she was not very open-minded, did not give good clear answers and was difficult to discuss ideas with - she instantly would balk at any idea I presented, without trying to understand my intentions and instead would tell me how ridiculous or dumb it was and then go on a long tangent about other clients or accountants, etc., etc. If you would like to have a discussion to understand tax ramifications of Real Estate and STRs I would recommend you save yourself the frustration and the money and go somewhere else.
