We are from Texas and in the area visiting with family. We stopped at the NAPA store on Main St. to say hello to my cousin Bruce when we noticed the dog grooming shop next door. My cousin said the store had just opened recently so I decided to go in and see if they could groom our two Goldens at some point within the next week. We met the shop owner, Felicia, and, to our surprise, she said she could groom them that afternoon as she did not have anyone scheduled that late in the afternoon. We were blown away at her accomodating nature and left our boys with her. In all the commotion of getting Buzz and Woody into the shop, we didn't even realize that we hadn't given her our names or our contact information. About 2 hours later, I received a text stating that the boys were almost ready. While grateful for the info, I was puzzled as to how she had obtained my phone number until I remembered that the boys had their ID tags on them. Boy, was I relieved that Felicia had a whole lot more common sense than I did. To make a short story long...Felicia did a fantastic job on our Goldens. We didn't have to give her detailed instructions, she knew exactly how to properly groom them. The best part, though, was her pleasant and professional demeanor. I wish I cold leave zero stars. We took our little dog there today. It is the second time. The first time was great. This time they jacked the price up and then got into a horrible argument with my wife. Then they threatened her if she left a bad review. I get home and see they cut one of the poor dog's nails so close she won't let us touch that paw. I see everybody else left good reviews here. Last time was fine. The owner is gentle, kind and loving and very knowledgable and skilled. My doodle is blind and I use the self wash as he does not like being left but he tolerates her with a nail trim and paw pads and offers helpful tips for me to keep him groomed. All of the dogs I witness coming and going seem happy and calm under her care and their haircuts look awesome. Maybe someday we will work up to him getting a full service grooming. read more
