If you haven't…read morebeen before, it's a little confusing at first as the shop is actually located inside an old school and around the corner of the building -- just follow the signs and you'll get there :) I've found some really cool vintage clothing for amazing prices. For the past few months, they have had a 1/2 off all clothing sale and they even have a $0.50 rack. On the right side, there are two rooms full of clothing and shoes, mostly womens, but also children's and mens. On the other side are collector and handmade items as well as books and a few toys/games. If you make it there before 11 AM, they also have a "bargain room" & "holiday room" open on the other side of the school building. The ONLY downside is that they rely on mostly donations, so inventory is a little slower than some of the other thrift stores in the area that receive more donations, but I still manage to visit at least once or twice a month and find some neat items! Most, if not all, the workers are volunteers and every one I have come in contact with are incredibly sweet. Many of them make quilts and handmade items that are put up for sale or raffle inside the store. Definitely worth checking out!

While I didn't find anything in this location for myself, I did find a set of bookends that were Bellamy Eagles for a family member. Was likely the greatest find of the day. He was ecstatic to receive them. Just goes to show.... you can find treasures in a small town, too. The staff here was great! The desk clerk tried to help me hide my purchase from the family member that was with me that day... even wrapping it twice in a dark colored bag.... but it didn't work. He figured out what we were doing as soon as he came downstairs! Great shop with a LOT to choose from. So many toys from my childhood that brought back memories!!! Prices were definitely fair! Glad we stopped by!

They closed at 5 it was 4:49 10 minutes before I just thought it was kinda of rude. Their prices are a little high as well. I normally like private sellers bc the can adjust the prices to a more affordable ones some times but with this thrift store their prices aren't really good. A little on the high side. Wish they would be friendlier. And be more affordable to where you'd want to come back.

I love this place!! I find most of the pricing to be extremely fair, especially for clothing items…read moreand shoes. Also, everyone who works here is extremely polite and friendly. They have a great selection of clothing, shoes, jackets, jewelry, purses, stuffed animals, trinkets, and other household products, although what you'll find depends on the day. You can find almost brand new clothes that still have the tags on them for a great price. I would absolutely recommend checking it out!

I used to go to Farmers Mercantile with my Grandpa when I was just a little kid. There were always men sitting outside visiting. I side, there were old farm implements hanging up high, bulk grains in bins with scoops so you could scoop just what you needed, an "old timey" scale to weigh them. It had rustic wood floors, old wood shelves displaying cookware, hardware, and stuff you needed when you needed it. I remember the smell, one I've never forgotten even decades later, it reminded me of fresh hay. I seem to remember chasing a chicken, or maybe it was a cat....i was pretty little. That was then, so very long ago! And now, even with the newer modern(ish) touches (metal shelves, newer cookware, etc) it's still that Farmers Mercantile I remember so well. It still sells "the stuff you need when you need it" but the memories are free. I hope it never changes. Priceless!
