A couple times other people tried to take my clothes out of the dryers not knowing I was right there. Plus, forget it if you need to use the bathroom because it isn't open the public. The sink they have also doesn't really work so if you get any soap on your hands there is no place to wash them. However, the place was close to home so we put up with it. They have TVs but it is usually never on anything good but there were places to sit down (although not very many). One time they actually had sports on and we were watching the game and the manager came in and turned it to another station. We were the only ones in there at the time doing laundry and were clearly watching so it is obvious that the TVs are not there for customers but for the manager's entertainment (I believe this was after the new owners took over.) The first new owner was very nice and said they would be getting new machines and improving the place, which was great considering the old ones didn't do a good job at washing or drying and the place was always dirty. That day the place was actually clean. After the new machines were installed we met another person that said they were the owner. This was a very bad experience. Even though they had new machines they didn't wash clothes well. They took out all but one bench to sit, so you basically have to stand the entire time you are there. I told my husband that we were never going back after that. So happy that the new owner made us not to want to go back because we found a new place. Didn't expect much after this place. To say we were in awe of the new place is an understatement. Very clean. A bathroom for the public. A sink that actually works (just tested it but didn't use). Great machines that do exceptional well at cleaning and drying clothes. They have machines that easily wash comforters to perfection. A special machine for cleaning sneakers. Lots of chairs. Great folding tables. Now we actually look forward to doing our laundry.

After mistaking the dryers for the washers and some confusion on how much I'll be paying, I was met with the most wonderful, helpful and sincerely kind woman, Pam. She turned all my anxiety and confusion into a very helpful tutorial on how the place works and even was beautifully kind enough to cover all my laundry expenses since it was my first time. The place is clean and the music is killer. I brought headphones just in case but forgot about them. Lets just say I was born in the 90's but my heart is in the 70's. I'm completing all my laundry faster and cheaper than at home. Pam's a keeper. She made me feel comfortable and cool at a laundromat for Pete's sake. There is almost always an attendant on site which is probably why the place is well maintained and clean. My only gripe about the place is the lack of parking. I usually do find one a short distance away. It doesn't warrant a loss of stars for the place because a little walking isn't a deal breaker.

She's friendly with everyone, making sure their stay is pleasant, and even helped distract the children so the parents could do their work. They might look small, but they definitely have plenty of machines to go around. They have 2 large commercial washers, one is $7.50, the other $4.75. They have new, smaller commercial washers also for $2, and a larger option for $3. The driers are $.25 per...9 minutes? They're heavy duty though, and she helped us by having us do multiple driers with clothes spread out and 4 driers dried about 6 loads, barely costing $2, if that! Overall, VERY impressed by the hospitality and cleanliness of the place....it's a million steps up from the laundry in my apartment complex, and most places around. I even saved more money here, and cut my laundry time from like 8 hours to 1...no, I'm not joking. Edit: I forgot to mention that the owner is trying to get something to help with the broken a/c, it wasn't too terrible hot but she offered the patrons in the store a cold bottle of water. I live in Van Nuys and came upon this location while I was looking for somewhere to kill time in between loads. This location is conveniently close to the 99Cent store, Goodwill and several other thrift stores. There are plenty of machines, washers of various types and prices & plenty of dryers. If a machine is not working properly- it is always clearly marked & usually fixed very quickly compared to other places. They also have a lot of laundry carts which is super helpful. We've never had a bad experience here and normally go once a week. We even live next to another laundromat (that's awful, but that's another story ha) but we go out of our way to come to this one.
