His calm demeanor is wonderful, absolutely, then couple that with his skill, knowledge, and inventive nature makes him a "miracle worker". I had an emergency on a Friday night (as my front tooth decided to leave), and of course, during after hours. I left a message on the Doctor Vitali's emergency number, but told him not to hurry in, as the emergency was mine, without pain or blood, and wanted him home with his family. Sure enough his Office Manager, Leanne, phoned me first thing Monday morning and scheduled me in that afternoon for a consult. After the consult it was decided that a bridge was needed as both front teeth were in turmoil. This was shocking to hear, but I have faith in this man, from past experiences; yes, was a bit frightened, Both teeth were removed on Holy Thursday and the Monday after Easter, I had a bridge with beautiful teeth. PAINLESS and secure. It had been a long time to eat something with such comfort and normalcy. I forgot what that was like and so very thrilled beyond understanding how he made this happen, but it is truthful. I am so happy., Dr. Bondar's staff has to be commended also, just has to be. Leanne works her magic with running the office and accommodating their patients with regular appointments and those with emergence. I feel really comfortable with her at the helm, always wanting to help and please in a sincere kind and caring way. Federica and Shannon are the doctor's Assistants and where does he get these personal, capable staff members is beyond me. Their gracious persona, and for real caring attitude is very comforting. They made me forget what I was there for. I am scheduled for a cleaning with their Hygienist and have not yet met her, but I've seen her usher her patients out with warmth, and genuine feelings of care, so I am sure, she will be added to my happiness with Smile Design. All of the dental records (x-rays, charts) are stored digitally by computer. Above the dental chair is a flat panel monitor which shows your chart, xrays, and digital images of your teeth and gums. Previously, I couldn't see the back of my mouth at my former dentists. Cool fish screensaver on the monitor!! She answered my insurance questions and introduced me to Dr. Nesvold. He (along with his dental assistant Kathy) spent about an hour with me the first appointment and we agreed to do a thorough cleaning at a later date. That appointment went smoothly and they took extra special care knowing I'm incredibly sensitive to pain (I'm a bit of a baby). He referred me to an oral surgeon in the area (Dr. De Tolla in Portsmouth- also fantastic) for wisdom teeth removal. I didn't meet his hygienist, Cheryl, until a few visits later but she's just as friendly and helpful as everyone else there! I've now been going there for several years and I can't say enough good things. I've now converted a sister and my boyfriend over to the office and plan to keep recommending Atlantic Family Dental to friends and family.

I requested a refund of the $250 consultation charge and was told in writing that "The consultation fee is for the exam, diagnosis and treatment plan I gave you regardless of whether you or I choose to go ahead." I always feel comfortable and safe with Dr.Harrison, and I don't typically feel that way with Dentists. The staff is also phenomenal. Megan and Jess, who run the office, and super friendly and accommodating. They always try to work me in the schedule when there is an emergency. They text back and forth which is convenient for me. I get auto-reminders before and the day of the appointments. It's a great experience and these two are a big reason why. Susie, Becky, and Kim and three of the dental hygienists that I've worked with over the past few years. They also contribute to this special culture here. No time is wasted in my appointments because these 3 are always on their game. I know there are other hygienists and I can guarantee if they work in this office, they are good at what they do. I called to make an appointment for a cleaning and to get partial dentures for my top and bottom teeth, and I agreed to move forward. By the end of September, the dentures were ready. But when I tried them, they didn't fit at all, especially the bottom ones. The dentist told me to try them for a week and come back if they still didn't fit. After a week, I went back because they were painful to put in and take out. The dentist ASSURED me a new set would be made at no extra cost. But then... nothing. I waited until December and called, they said the doctor would call me. A week later, I called again and got the same response: "The doctor will call you back." Weeks went by, and still no one contacted me. I called multiple times, and every time, I received the same empty promise. I've already paid $1,500 out of pocket, and my insurance covered $3,000. And now, in January 2026, I STILL don't have my dentures, and no one has reached out. I am beyond frustrated and do NOT recommend this place.

I have had other tooth cleaners absolutely shred my gums in the process, but Shannon is always so gentle and manages to clear the crap off my teeth without making me bleed. She has a really great personality and is fun to talk to. Also, she has the CUTEST dogs. OMG! I also totally heart Dr. Lamoth and his assistant Patty. I'm a basket case in the dentist chair, totally freaked out about pain. He never hurts! and administers novacaine with minimal discomfort. Patty is his right hand man, and is great to deal with. Both of them have terrific senses of humor, and I always spend way more time laughing than worrying. Deb is the red haired check-out lady and she's always really friendly and helpful. She's very knowledgeable about dealing with insurance, which I totally appreciate. The other front desk/administrative staff I've dealt with have also been really friendly. Finally, the office it's self is really beautiful. Cheerful colors and white beadboard cabinets give it a laid back, beachy feel. I like how homey it is, rather than cold and clinical like so many professional offices. What led me to choose PDS initially is they don't do any mercury fillings. I realize this is a controversial topic, but personally I prefer to avoid the stuff and am glad I never have to argue about it. They also did not state that many patients health insurance would no longer be accepted and only take Delta Dental as of 7/1. And they only tell patients this when they walk in the door for their appointment day of as opposed to contacting patients that have differing insurance in advance. Terrible practice, would not recommend anyone visiting that office. New ownership is not treating people correctly and previous ownership completely failed his patients. I would have rated them zero stars but the app wouldn't let me.
