The actual visit was just fine. My daughter was seen quickly. BUT heres my issue, a scrip was put in for zofran. Absolutely no phone call was made. No communication happened whatsoever about when this prescription was going to be ready for me to pick up. So I go into the pharmacy the next day before noon and the pharmacist tells me there's a note stating the doctor said I will have to call the pharmacy and give all the insurance information to them, are you kidding me? Then she said a text was sent to my number. That is a big fat Nope! I never received a text from anyone except for wanting my feedback on a survey. This is such a joke! read more

I am months late in posting this review, but my partner and I will be ever grateful for the care we received at Samaritan's Urgent Care Clinic. Donna had not been feeling well but kept putting off seeing a doctor, but on March 7, I drove her to Urgent Care because of her high heart rate - the medical term called Tachycardia - and a painful rash that had developed overnight. At reception, we were told it would be a three-hour wait, but on hearing Donna's heart rate was over 100 beats a minute, the receptionist called in a Physician's Assistant, who immediately took us in to an exam room. The PA was professional and knowledgeable. As she did the routine checks, she answered all our questions and put us both at ease. Dr. Charlotte Gardner came in to talk to Donna and examine her. Dr. Gardner quickly determined that Donna was suffering from shingles, and said if we had waited one more day to come in, it would have been too late for antivirals to have any effect. The antivirals cannot cure shingles but do help to lessen the severity of symptoms. Donna was told to stay home for 7 to 10 days and continue with the prescribed medication. Thank goodness for the skilled care and attention we received at Samaritan Urgent Care in Corvallis. read more

I walked in at 2:15pm about 4 people sitting in the lobby and was greeted with; "Did you call to make an appointment?" No, it's a walk in clinic, well we're full and are closing at 4:00pm today, umm ok it's 2:15 with 4 people in the lobby. Typical Corvallis entitled medical professionals. 3 people standing around jack jawing instead of working, and attitude as if your interrupting their dire conversation and inconveniencing them by coming in for services. Corvallis has got to have some of the worst medical professionals and staff in all of Oregon. Piss poor communication, care for patients and unprofessional, but hey they'll have a Covid mask on so as to keep everyone safe. what a joke read more

You can get good care here IF you can get in to be seen. However, there are two main issues: 1) Even though this is the only Urgent Care clinic in town, they often restrict access to people who have appointments when they're busy. 2) The waiting room is TINY, making it a breeding ground for catching contagious respiratory diseases. If you don't already have the flu during flu season, you almost certainly will after sitting in their little box for a few hours with all the other sick people. read more

*Do NOT waste your time at this *Urgent* Care establishment* After two days of coughing, congestion and headache, I took my child to Samaritan. Not only did my child have these symptoms, but looked visibly sick, even with a mask on. When my child was finally met by a NP and doctor, they did as expected; what are your symptoms? How long have you felt this way? From there, they recommended not getting a Covid test, but did x-rays and a strep test. Ultimately, they summarized the visit by saying there didn't appear to be anything wrong with my child. Go get allergy medication. !!!!! Thankfully, Student Health Services saw my child the following day and diagnosed my child with A SINUS AND EAR INFECTION. Prescribed antibiotics and voila, my child is sleeping without a hacking cough and on the mend. Such a disappointment and waste of time and money. read more

I went to this urgent care to get checked out. I felt dizzy and nauseous, they told me they wanted to test for covid. I was okay with that, they also said I shouldn't go to work until I received a negative covid test. They said it would be ready in two days i call them twice on the second day. They say we will get back to you before the end of the day. I never got a call. I called when they were open and got a voicemail several times. They finally called me back and said they couldnt give me my results. Finally 5 minutes later they tell me i am covid negative. read more

Great experience for what we needed. My daughter is a student at OSU and was sick over a weekend when the university health center was closed. I was able to make her appointment online for about 30 min out. She was seen quickly, got the care she needed and a note for class/work. My only complaint is that the website for online booking was not very phone friendly or intuitive. It was difficult to make an appointment. I wanted to walk in, but was worried we would wait for a long time. read more

Got my prescription's for a couple months so i can find a pcp really helpful and wonderful people

I was billed $450 for coming here (with insurance) for 1 single strep test. Insurance paid some of it so my remaining portion was $319.05. It was $170 lab fees, $40 strep assay fee, and $240 is listed on my bill as drs fees "20 minutes or more for Dr Ueng Timothy". When I called to ask them why I was billed for so long, surely it had to be a mistake because I only saw the dr for not even 5 minutes total I was told "that is all the time the dr spent thinking about and communicating/reviewing your case" for a step test?? The Doctor came in, checked my eyes/ears and then came back to read my test results. The test was negative so he told me to drink tea with honey and take decongestants. That was it. I tried to see if I can pay out of pocket as that can sometimes be cheaper and they told me that once insurance is added they can't remove it. Front desk lady was nice when I checked in, waited about 45 minutes before I was seen. Other than that it was an awful expensive and largely unhelpful experience. read more

Just got a call from AMBER. She was immediately snappy and wanted the call to end as soon as possible. Tried telling me I can't give verbal consent for my own mother to listen to my results. The receptionist earlier that day was incredibly rude at 8am when they opened. Sick elderly were barked at to go sick outside with me because "covid". We sat along the sidewalk and raced to make the call at 9am when "urgent" care opened. Just when I thought I might receive some care, the doctor was immediately passive aggressive and tried telling me I probably had covid. After assuring her I had already been tested, she argued with me and even got defensive because I wanted to call my mother in the patient room. Overall the entire facility is there to make their daily dollar. read more

Highly Recommend! I specifically logged into Yelp, which I never use, because I saw so many 1-star ratings. I wholeheartedly disagree, as I have never had anything but a compassionate and helpful experience here. The staff is lovely, and as someone else said, when you cannot see your regular doctor immediately, this place is an absolute blessing. I am prone to sinus infections and bronchitis, and I always get helped thoroughly and thoughtfully. My son and I both came in last month with a suspicion of Strep, and were checked for both that and Covid, and they even X-rayed my lungs as well since I have asthma. Unfortunately, we had the 'Rona in the end, and a staff member called back to offer me the extra drug for my Covid symptoms, due to my higher-risk status from my asthma. The staff was especially funny and kind with my 5-year-old son as well. I've never had anything but an excellent experience here. read more

I have a 4 kids, one of whom has chronic health problems so I am somewhat of an ER, urgent care expert. I have had mixed experiences at this one but I have to say the last 2 times I went - they went so far beyond that it overshadowed any other experiences. about a week ago I went with my daughter (the frequent flyer) went in and the doc was very helpful and EVEN asked my opinion! I felt appreciated and respected as the main medical care giver for my child. They even followed up with me personally when some tests came back even though the PCP was handling it by then. They wanted to know how she was and what had happened during the ER transfer. They were also very dismayed at her treatment there. It was just really nice to feel heard. then a few days ago - I had to partake of the urgent care with a horrible and debilitating migraine. I was barely functioning when I went in and the staff was so kind and helpful - Turning off lights and offereing me blankets and such. they were so attentive - I was taken care of really well. One of my clients presented with several challenging symptoms last week and the staff performed with the highest degree of professionalism and empathy over 2+ hours to identify the potential causes and confirm that this individual was not suffering from a potentially catastrophic health crisis. Over the last couple of years, we've had to stop in at this Urgent Care facility and we've been impressed both times we were there. The staff were wonderful with young children and really encouraged and enforced our stance with helping our 3 year old be positive through a traumatic experience. And the care given to us was equally supportive and informative. I won't go here again. The main reason is that Samaritan calls this an Urgent care facility but it does not bill like one. Our insurance covers urgent care with a 25$ co-pay. They would not cover this bill because it was not billed as an urgent care facility . When I called the billing office they said that although "urgent care" is in their name they are not actually a real urgent care clinic but a walk in clinic only. They do not in fact run any actual urgent care clinics. I feel like they need to change the name to reflect that. read more

It was an awful experience. I came into Urgent Care hoping I would be helped and the staff was completely useless. My tonsils were enlarged, I was coughing up blood & phlegm, coughing uncontrollably, runny nose, chills, fever, etc. They had me go into a room when they were ready for me and they had me wait for an excessively long time. They took an x-ray of my lungs (which wasn't even the problem) and said I was "perfectly fine." The woman who was treating me said it was allergies. Even I am not a doctor and I know if I am coughing up blood that is not allergies. I then went to the student health service center and they actually helped me and told me I had a sinus and ear infection within the first thirty minutes I was there. The fact that I was at Urgent Care for an hour and a half and they were unable to identify anything is honestly so alarming to me. If you are to go to an Urgent Care I would highly recommend you do not come to this one. read more

DO NOT go here if you need "urgent" care. The entire experience for broken ribs, which they couldn't diagnose or do anything about anyway, took about 3 1/2 hours. We should have stayed home. There was someone else in the lobby who was attacked by a dog and they were nice enough to send someone out to bandage up her bleeding, torn up face so she could sit there without bleeding all over the place while she waited over an hour to see someone. If this is the closest urgent care, do yourself a favor and take the extra time to drive over to the Corvallis Clinic. read more

I highly don't recommend taking young children here. Staff is always super nice! HOWEVER, I don't feel the provider (we saw the same one on two separate occasions) is used to seeing young children (under 2). I brought my son in when he had a cold and I mentioned some tugging at his ears, we had got to talking and I forgot to ask him to check his ears, although most providers would check IMO due to what I mentioned and his fever. We got home and that night he had 103.5 fever and was miserable. We had to drive back to Corvallis the next day to be seen again at his pediatricians office and he had a really bad double ear infection. I called to just inform them on what had happened and to be honestly I was a little upset but was kind in my approach, they seemed to have cared less.. About a year later we went back again, I was suspicious of an ear infection and had to ask the same doctor to check, sure enough he had one.. I shouldn't need to ask. Save yourself the time unless you have no other option, and in that case make sure they check your little ones ears!! read more

I find it incredibly strange that people can review medical clinics as if they were some burger joint. However, as I saw some of the negative reviews I wanted to share my wonderful experience. Urgent cares can be busy... if your problem is that horrendous and you can't be patient then go to the ER. These health care providers are very well trained and they know more than a google search. Trust them - they know what they're talking about. Be aware that want you want isn't necessarily what you need. Have conversations with your provider so that they understand where you're coming from The RN Chelsea and PA Winnie were very competent, kind, and caring. I found the office clean and perfectly suitable. I also found the staff to be friendly. Thank you! PS to the person complaining about getting antibiotics after a negative strep test, strep tests are only 60% accurate. If your throat looks super infected they will treat you based on that diagnostic. Superbugs are scary, but it's not from one provider preemptively treating strep based on their physical assessment. read more

Almost two weeks after a dreadful experience with Covallis Clinic Care Now my case of tonsillitis flared up again and a fever presented itself again. I decided to try this place and as such showed up upon opening on a Sunday. I answered a few questions, filled some things out and after a short wait I was seen. I got a really doctor who investigated my symptoms and provided appropriate treatments that provided relief from almost two weeks of suffering. read more

Worst urgent care ever. Receptionist was super rude. They never sent the bill to my address until it was past the time it was due! Also when I went into the urgent care I was there because I thought I had strep throat they did a test and the test results were negative but the pa still wanted to prescribe antibiotics. This is the reason we now have super bugs. Very irresponsible! read more

Never ever ever going to a walk-in clinic again. This ones wait time was ridiculous, finally got to see the doc. I went in with an ear infection and reduced hearing. He diagnoses a perforated eardrum even though he doesn't have the right tool to know and I half suggested it. And then gives no prescription for anything and I am on my way 5 minutes later. I've been to this urgent care facility more times than I care to admit, almost exclusively for acute issues after normal business hours. I have been consistently impressed by their quick & efficient service, the level of personal care & interaction provided, and by the quality of their medical staff. I usually come away from the experience having learned a thing or two about whatever condition prompted my visit. While one may not choose the provider with whom one visits, I'd like to give props to Drs. Goodwillie & Jay, and to Signe Wright. I take it back about the healthcare being fine. Its not. -The PA missed some very obvious signs that my minor health issue needed some treatment and just sent me out the door. I ended up back a few days later and the doctor was able to help me, but it delayed treatment. -I was in just this week for an issue that necessitated x-rays. The PA stated he didn't think I needed them and said the cons of x-rays, one of which was "exposure to radiation." -I went back the next day when the issue was significantly worse. They told us it would be an hour wait. Annoying but do-able. After an hour and a half the receptionist tells us when my husband and i go up and to ask that they're "having delays." and there are still four people ahead of us. seriously. all of us left. they seriously left all of the patients in various conditions and levels of pain, hanging out for over an hour. and none of the receptionists seemed concerned- they were all hanging out and laughing and drinking coffee. -We went to the corvallis clinic urgent care and in less than an hour had a diagnosis, xrays completed, and a care plan. obviously we won't be returning to good sam's urgent care. read more

I had to take two of my sons here on Saturday afternoon. I tend to have low expectations of urgent health centers, but not any more. I LOVED the Dr. we got. He was professional, great with the kids, and caring. I don't think I have ever liked a Dr more. This guy cares about his patients and doing his job to the best of his ability. The front office staff, nurses, x-ray tech were fantastic as well. Who ever chose these people put the best ones at this urgent care center. I would go there again, if needed to. I share the feeling of I T. , the author of another post at this site. I wish that I had Dr. Signe Wright as my primary care physician. She asks the right questions and really listens to you. She does all the necessary checking and tests then makes the correct diagnosis and prescribes the appropriate treatment. (Sad to say, I've been misdiagnosed by my own PCP on several occasions.) This place is the worst. Their sign outside says URGENT CARE but they bill out as a regular doctor office. I went in for a bladder infection, that I knew I had, just needed antibiotics. Considering I'm double covered with insurance it shouldn't have been a problem and my regular doctor told me to go in so it would be faster and easier. Instead, they billed my insurance as a regular physician office instead of a urgent care which resulted in my insurance not covering and me paying a $140 bill I really shouldn't have had to pay. When I called they proceeded to pretty much tell me it wasn't their problem and they have signs up. They put it into review and never called me back with results and instead sent me a collection notice. Well they should be informing their patients when they walk in the door or take off the URGENT CARE sign off their building so I don't waste my time and get stuck with a bill.
