I was 24 hours into labor before we made them let us come in. I was having 5 minute contractions for 10 hours straight home alone to the point I was giving up. When I got to the clinic they immediately said I was 9 cm dilated and had the trainee midwife trying to find the heart rate during contractions. She couldn't find it. And hot help when they finally were able to track the heart rate of my baby girl they said I needed to get an ambulance to the hospital. We said we'd just drive there. They proceeded to let her try to put an iv in my arm for practice. She stuck me and stuck me untill the needle bend off in my arm. We finally said enough!! We're leaving why are you doing this if its an emergency shouldn't we be going. We got to the hospital and my entire birth plan went out the window. I was forced to get an epidural and c section because my cervix was too swollen from hours of not knowing what to do alone at home. They tried to push my cervix away for her head to slip through on my hands and knees as the last attempt to deliver her naturally but her heart rate was plummeting too much. Every 5 minutes. I was 32 hours into labor by the time she was cut from my body. They stole my placenta I didnt get to have the water birth I didnt get to have those moments that we all wish of when going to a clinic instead of a hospital. I hate them and Its almost been 2 years since her birth and I still am haunted by what happened to us. How can a place meant to be built of women supporting women's birth have cared so little for me and my baby. Not only could we have died but why would you not even ask to talk to me on the phone during my labor just telling my partner shes doing fine stay home. It was my first baby all I wanted was support through my delivery im am forever scarred and traumatized from my experience with this clinic. I hope that it never happens to anyone else.

We were able to meet with all the midwife's and they made us feel safe, and heard. I went into active labor after 5pm and from the moment we arrived it was perfect. I had the dream water delivery I've always wanted. The aftercare has been amazing with the baby and myself. I am so thankful we had the opportunity to deliver here. After having my first three babies in the hospital, respectfully, I would highly recommend the Corvallis Birthing Center.

The nurses and CNA'a were amazing... they are taxed with the homeless and the violent... yet keep their standard of care in focus. If they could have done better, I don't see how... I got the highest level of care possible, all day and all night. Keep in mind... some of the poor reviews on this site are from homeless whiners looking for a free meal and a free bed and after speaking with the nurses, that happens quite often. Thank you Shyla, Barbara, Christine, Bryan and all the others who cared for me. I would love to take you and your spouses for dinner. This was June of 2026... Blessings to all the heroes of Good Sam. I went into my visit and they did the normal checking your blood pressure etc. They asked me if I had any questions, and I just mentioned that I had an issue with my heel. So they took a look at it and didn't do much about it. When I got my bill I found that they had charged me for an office visit just because I asked about my foot, rather than a preventative really exam which one of cost me anything. They're just trying to make money out of people. I asked for a review and was told that for preventative all they do is basically just look at you. If they have to do anything else to address any issues you are charged for an office visit. Since when did it become you couldn't even ask a question without being charged. Ridiculous I will be finding a new doctor and going away from Samaritan health services they suck. And I am not the only one that thinks this.

She is a compassionate listener with an ability to ask questions that enable her clients to become more aware of what is happening within themselves as she herself gets to the core issue needing attention. My posture is better and in the subsequent days after each session I have more energy and increased flexibility. Jessica does a very good job of explaining her techniques and adjusting as needed. She understands what the body needs to relax and heal itself. She will listen to you and formulate a plan to address your areas of concern. At my sessions, all the trouble spots get worked and I always leave in a much better state than when I walked in. The deep tissue work is excellent. The location is easily accessible if you live anywhere on or near Capitol Hill and still totally worth it if you need to come from further away. For the outstanding level of service you get, the prices are very reasonable. While insurance is accepted, my plan does not offer this benefit so paying out of pocket seems to work just fine.
