Ordered a chicken ceaser salad 14.95. The lettuce was warm , they threw a few little chunks of chicken on top and a side bowl of warm dressing. A few croutons . What a bad meal! A salad is supposed to be cold and crunchy on a hot summer day. Very disappointed. Waitress did not come back to our table once to ask how everything was. I have been in customer service for 27+ years and never have treated anyone like I was treated here by management. I have ordered here very frequently and recently experienced the worst experience ever. The manager I dealt with was rude, lied and blamed me. 45 minutes for delivery, which is fine because they quoted me that. But pizza was barely warm, toppings all sliding off to one half and box so soaking in oil I had to put something under it. Ate it after I put the toppings where they belong and soaked some of the oil off the top. Figured I'd give them a shot from the last time that I ordered and go burnt crust and warm. First time at Sammy's while visiting family. Our carry-out pizza on Saturday was still steaming hot and fresh when we got it home. It was so good, that we had to return the next next night to enjoy drinks and the wonderful ambiance of a local favorite. Our waiter was friendly, helpful and kept our drinks full. We ordered the Sammy's Special and it lived up to its name. Every pizza gets that delicious hand-crimped touch. It was loaded with fresh ingredients and was so worth the wait! i've been here twice. the servers were kind and quick which made me excited to have a nice meal but it was by far the worst food i've ever had. are we living in the dark ages? because this food tasted like what i could only imagine food tasted like before we had sanitary products for women. my pasta was undercooked and so was the sausage. my partners food was undercooked also with hard noodles. he got the fettuccine Alfredo and i got the gnocchi. maybe we should have tried the pizza or something. at least my coca cola was good. read more

We were back in Hibbing visiting family in May 2021 for 2 1/2 days. One of my must do's when we go back there is to go to Sammy's. We were a group of 8. Our server was awesome, I'm sorry I don't remember her name. The pizza was as good as I remember. We got a Sammy's special, a house special (my favorite ever), a Hawaiian and a pound of wings with habanero sauce. Everything was awesome. We even converted one of the crew to a Sammy's lover! Sammys use to be the best place in town to dine at until the new owners took over, he is seen cooking with a shaggy beard not covered along with a bandana and a pair of pajama bottoms that shows crack every time he bends over(not very professional), his wife is very rude on the phone and i feel for the polite workers they have. The last three pizzas have been soggy and just doesn't taste the same anymore, we did complain once but she just blew it off so i would suggest you trying mexican or head to another town to eat because this town is dead. read more

I didn't like the pizza I ordered ...a Hawaiian. Not enough toppings, cheese, or sauce, and the prices are a little high for the quality. I've bought frozen pizzas from the grocery that were better. LottzaMottza! I've eaten several times at the Grand Rapids location, and their pizza is amazing, same chain .. makes me wonder why such a difference? Staff making them? I 've been a customer for 35 years and have seen the quality fluctuate but its always been good. Now, not only did I have to wait 75 minutes to pick up my pizza, it was cold when I opened the box in my car, the crust was so thin and woody, I could see shadows through it. Half of the crust was black and the other side of the pizza was doughy. I ordered extra cheese but there was even less than is normally on a regular. I couldn't tell the cardboard box from the pizza! Grew up eating this pizza. Pizza is great, but only dine in. The last 2 times I've ordered for pick up I arrived 10 minutes after the pick up time stated when I placed the order and they hadn't started my order yet and said it would be another 20 minutes at least. New owners need to work on their take out service...At least send the customer a text or an email to confirm pick up time because all they do is send you an email with a confirmation of your order they got your payment. Another disappointment. Trying to eat (by necessity) Gluten Free and find something tasty and satisfying stays impossible in Hibbing. Tried the Spartan Meal dinner, expecting a grilled chicken breast with onions, peppers, etc as described in the menu. Got about 1/4 cup of small chunks of yesterday's leftover chicken with a few bits of onion and peppers - bleh! At least the broccoli was fresh and properly cooked. Otherwise, not much of a meal. I love this place!! Every time I visit family I must go here. Not only do they have a great salad bar, but their menu options are great to. The food is always warm, and tastes fresh. The atmosphere is warm, relaxing, and family oriented. The fact that this place can recover so well from the fire they had awhile ago shows great business leadership. Pizza was not edible due to the sheer amount of salt. It literally burns the lips. Sammys in Duluth has always been good but this was disgusting. How do you get too salty without hardly any cheese? The only thing worse was the service and rude behavior of the store staff. My daughter tried to order the tortellini but it was not available. We definitely will not be back. read more

However, my double pepperoni pizza was the killer - three pieces of pepperoni - I guess regular comes with two pieces! If you are ordering wings - they don't sell them by 6, 10, 12 or 20 - but by the pound! They don't sell a half a pound either AND they cannot tell you how many come in a pound! Once again, stopped at a place because of the good Yelp reviews. Once again, not disappointed by my fellow Yelpers. Created my own 4 ingredient Stromboli. Not disappointed. Just the right amount of ingredients. Sauce on the side was not enough but the waitress brought another, no problem and steaming hot. Good sauce too. I attached a picture. I ordered a salad and I received it with melted cheese on the top which is not how my regular order has ever came. I always order this same salad and they never did this before. Gross and once it cools it's like a layer of hard cheese you have to cut through. There was also lack there of lettuce and chicken. It did not look or taste like it usually does. Really not happy about that since it's spendy. Also got a sandwich and it was bland and very dry and barely had any meat. I swear it was old meat because it was so very dry and absolutely no juice. My wafdle fries were so soft. They needed to cook longer for sure. I worked with food before so I know these things. Wth? I am wondering who they replaced in the kitchen because I used to get satisfying food from here. Living in a small town we only have so many options and when our regular order is less than satisfactory for the high prices it has to be expressed so hopefully they can fix their issues.
