Had severe vibration from the left front wheel. Being on vacation from Pennsylvania with a short window for diagnosis and repair. I called a dozen shops but only Sam' s could fit me in right away. So, a couple of days ago i had my car towed to this location and they quoted $800 to fix my car saying the fuel pump was broken. I shopped around and had it towed to a different mechanic who said he will fix the pump for $350, when i had my car towed to the other store, the other mechanic told me the car is just out of gas. I spent $120 on ordering new parts and towing to only find out the car was just out of gas. Sam's auto repair shop was going to charge me $800 to fix a car thats out of gas??? Either they are very bad mechanics that cant tell a difference between a broken car or out of gas car or they are out there to scam people out of their money. It is absolutely unacceptable, because i depend on my car and i was so close to pay them $800 to fix it. I will be writing a complaint to better bureau business to report this incident. read more

I brought my car to sams auto in Harwich MA on 4/26/2024 I orginally brought my car in cause my front end felt very squishy and I also had a mysterious clunking noise and knew that it didnt feel right and that It needed to be looked at and it needed to be fixed and on this date they ended up doing a diagnostic on my vehicle found out that both of my struts and sway bar links were bad and they needed to be replaced sam ended up replacing everything for a total cost in repairs of $1,150 at this point I took off with my car and the clunking noise was still there I brought it back into him cause the same problem was there and it was very concerning I then brought my car in to get the valve seal gaskets needed to be replaced so I called and made an appointment for Sams auto to replace the valve seal gaskets on my car and now as of 6/24/2024 I had to bring my car into the chevy dealership cause we have been experiencing problems that has not only caused my abs light to come on but it also caused my traction control light to come on as well as my esc light with the check engine light that is when I found out on 6/24/2024 that I have had an active misfire going on with my car so as the owner of the car I asked the chevy dealership if having my valve seal gaskets replaced would have anything to deal with my misfire that is when they have told me that the those seal gaskets WERE NOT REPLACED CORRECTLY and that they needed to be replaced again. These repairs as of today costed me $1,708.22 When I called to confront Sams auto they made me feel like I was dumb and that I did not know what I was talking about and for them to take care of there work that "you had to tow it to them for them to fix it" are you kidding me. I have given you more then one chance to fix your problems and yet you do not even know how to respect your customers and make them feel like they are not right when it comes to your customers having concerns or real complaints I would not recommend bringing your car here I would recommend having your car brought somewhere else to be serviced cause they lack customer service skills in the ability to fix a car correctly read more

i will never use this company again.Horrible ,bought a car from here and got ripped off had to spend 2200 more at Subaru just so it would be drivable and safe .Failed inspection was told because a reset needs to adjust . So, listen. I don't want to ruin anyone's livelihood so I am going to put this as succinctly as possible. If you need anything more involved than a tire or oil change, go elsewhere. Without even getting into the fact that Sam held the car in question hostage for over a month, I will instead tell how the car was so poorly put back together after Sam worked on it that we narrowly dodged a tragic accident on our 5 hour drive home after said car was finally released from its captivity. I am not exaggerating. We were extremely lucky since, unbeknownst to us, our tire was slowly coming off of the front axel bolt by bolt until the car was not driveable. It was solely the work of our guardian angels that this only revealed itself in my driveway and not as we traveled 70 miles per hour on Interstate 95. Thank you, guardian angel. This guy is great. Professional, reasonable, reliable. We had a flat coming (bolt in our tire) at 4:30pm on a busy summer Thursday. Sam had a lot of cars he was working on and getting ready to close. At first he asked us to leave our car overnight and he would fix the flat in the morning but before I could say yes he had the car jack under the chassis and was taking the wheel off! I'm not exaggerating when I say he repaired it and had us on our way in less than 10 minutes. We were so happy we wanted to give him a tip but he wouldn't take it! While visiting the Cape and staying with a friend my car stalled near Sam's new location in Dennisport. The Police Officer who assisted me suggested I have the car towed there. The manager told me the car would be diagnosed and I would be contacted the next day .I got a call the next day and I was told I needed a fuel pump. I doubted this since the pump was nearly new, installed by my long time mechanic in Connecticut, warrantied for parts and labor for a year. I told him to hold off and contacted my Ct mechanic who in turn called and questioned their diagnosis since the pump was virtually new, my mechanic did not like the answers and told me they seemed offended he even asked , and had questioned their assessment. He offered to pay for the diagnosis but wanted the car towed to my friends home a few miles away. The manager told my mechanic no charge, and the car was towed to my friend's driveway. My mechanic was so troubled over this, he drove four hours up from Ct. the next next day with a trunk full of tools, It was not the fuel pump and he had the car running perfectly in an hour by replacing a $ 6.00 fuse. I was of course out over two hundred dollars for two towing fees one of which would not have been necessary had the diagnosis been correct. The readers of my review may draw their own conclusions. The owner Sam welcomed me on a busy day and was able to fix my vehicle as promised, on time and at a great price. Since this was my first time visiting the shop I was skeptical as I usually am of places other than dealerships considering my vehicle is fairly new and was still under warranty. On the way to the Cape to visit my uncle, one of my rear wheels was making loud clunking and sqealing sounds. I called Sam based on other Yelp reviews and he was able to look at my car that day.
