The day we went to this Sams, we were looking for Halloween candy and sadly didn't find any. This was definitely our fault because we went shopping for it too late so no fault to Sams. So we didn't end up purchasing anything this day but I still want to review the experience we had while looking for the candy that was not there lol When we arrived, we were greeted by their door greeter and asked for our card as usual. When we walked in, we didn't see the candy so we asked a young lady who was stocking the shelves. She informed me that they were more than likely out but she would check just to be sure. She took us to where the Halloween candy usually was and sure enough, it was empty. She informed us that all the Sams are more than likely sold out but she told us that Target just started running a sale on half off candy and to check there (luckily that's where we found the candy so thank you! lol) It was a good Sams but I probably won't go back due to it being a popular sams and it was PACKED and it usually is but if you live on the east side, it's a great Sams but I'll stick to my empty westside Sams lol read more

The pharmacy staff at the Pellicano location are beyond awesome. Every single person I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with has been tops with their customer service. They're always very friendly, patient and helpful. The parking lot pick up is such a welcomed service that they provide too...especially on days when my walking ability is not too good. After reading some of the bad reviews I don't understand how Sam's use to be so bad in the past. Well currently, it seems as though Sam's club has made a huge turnaround. I love coming here. I share a Sam's club membership with my mom. We also share a Costco membership as well, but since we live closer to Sam's this place is the go to spot when needed. The prices here are awesome and let me just say you'll find stuff here that you won't find at Costco. I'm a fan of both places but lately I've been a Sam's fan. The customer service is also awesome. They are very responsive in helping customers. NOW, I can not say the same if I was to call the service line. Ok guys...I don't have a membership here. I usually tag along with my aunt or mom because they have one. I also ask to borrow their card to put gas in my car. Hey...that's what family is for...to help each other out. ;) My aunt brought me and spoiled me to death! She never lets me pay! I feel bad but take her up on it once in a blue moon. I wanted to buy my beloved sparkling water and baked Cheetos, along with a couple of other items for the house. My aunt would've let me have a shopping spree if I wanted. The store was packed so I just wanted to leave ASAP. I also got to try a few samples! No lie, if I would've eaten a couple more, it would've almost been like a meal. I had some chicken noodle soup, turkey sausage and waffle. I like their pretzels and pizza in the front. They taste pretty good and they're reasonably priced. I have tried calling the Sams Club Pellicano numerous times. It's very frustrating. The only people that pick up rapidly is the pharmacy. I'm very happy with the pharmacy as I buy $4000 a month in medicine. However, the rest of Sams Club doesn't give a care about anything I buy there. Their gas station is always a mess right now. The traffic is backed up to the middle of the parking lot because they decided to close the far left two lanes for gasoline. That's the wrong thing to do. They should've left it open so that it does not get the way it's getting right now. I would call the manager but guess what I can never get through. This is definitely a -10 stars. And then they will cry to you that they make no money on gasoline. Well, I don't really care if you make money on gasoline or not it's a service you provide and therefore you should honor it and have the best available items for the customers. Just like nobody asked you to sell the hotdogs for Less than your competitor the big guy, Costco. At least with Costco they have somebody to direct traffic who cares about their job this guy is always on his phone or in his little office or just walking around not caring to listen to what people say. These stores (East, central and west) are hideous, rundown and dirty and so loud with the forklifts running all the time. Employees are indifferent at best and painfully rude at worst. There's only one person checking receipts and it takes forever just to get out the door. Lines are long to pay. Sams is more expensive than Costco and im not sure why. I wish I didn't live so far from Costco and could give up this membership and go exclusively back to Costco. read more

Beware of speeding carts coming at you at every aisle! People here zoom through with their carts with out saying "excuse me." Corners can be deadly as you don't know if someone is going to be coming down and turning that way. This store is big. The sample kiosks are crazy so I didn't even bother walking near them for a sample. The checkout lines were long and they have a few regular registers and the rest are self checkout lanes. Not much can be said about a grocery store that sells produce in mass bulk, but also happens to sell furniture, tech and apparel as well. What I CAN tell you is that my Sam's Club membership is easily the best $40 I ever spent annually. Regardless of which location you go to, Sam's is always clean and fairly easy to navigate through, provided you aren't battling past an evil Saturday afternoon mob. Possibly their best improvement overall was the addition of self check outs. Since I normally never buy much in bulk, I really appreciate this! I mainly come to Sam's for seafood (as theirs is fresh and well portioned), steaks if I happen to be cooking for small groups of friends, and paper products...which would actually be the only thing I'd personally buy in bulk. Seriously, I can get two things of paper towels and toilet paper for a decent price and not have to return to replenish these for like two months straight! They also have their own mini food court, if you haven't been inside Sam's before. Though I don't personally care for it, it's still worth mentioning. One small anecdote I'll mention: I prefer this location to the one on Gateway boulevard. I dunno just...for some reason, that other location feels so encapsulating in that...claustrophobic, wanna hyperventilate kind of way. Plus it's annoying to drive through their parking lot. Aside from the aforementioned I'd say...get yourself a Sam's Club membership if you wish to save a little money on products you already buy on a weekly basis or run out of fairly quickly. You can purchase them in bulk instead and not have to return to the store for weeks or sometimes months at a time! And for all you grill masters out there, the steaks here are really thick! Whether you believe President Obama is sitting in the Oval Office with his finger on the magical button that controls gas prices, or you're a reasonable person, that Sam's Club membership almost pays for itself at the gas pump. I rarely ever fill-up anywhere else! Unfortunately I'm not the only one that feels this way, so expect there to be at least a car ahead of you at the pump, but don't worry the wait isn't that bad. Just don't be the tough guy who just can't wait a couple of minutes and tries to fill-up at the opposite pump even though your tank is on the right side, nobody thinks you're a smart go-getter, we all think you are an impatient jerk. Last time I shop at the Sam's Club on Pelicano. - Customer service has relocated from their normal place to a small kiosk type of operation upon entering the store. Normal customer service was moved to make room for curb side pickup. - The shelves are cluttered with items not belonging to that section. The clothing section is hideous. Clothes are mixed up and piled on tables rather than neatly folded for display. No employees were attempting to straighten the mess. - The bananas were green and empty boxes littered the area. Boxes were tipped over and stacked from shoppers digging through boxes looking for the least green bananas. - And if that wasn't bad enough wait until you try to order at the food bar. My wife ordered a combo pizza and two hotdogs. When given the order my wife asked for the drink cups and was told she did not order hotdog combos and it would cost an additional twenty-five cents per drink. I have eaten a lot of hot dogs at Sam's and never ordered a combo hotdog but still received my drink. - The Sam's Club gas station on Pelicano will be closing soon for a period of 3 months. This is going to cost them on retail as well. - The Sam's Club on Pelicano has a lot of issues and is no comparison to the Sam's Club off I-10 which will be my main club from now on. read more

If you shop in person it is OK, though COSTCO is better. If you shop online you are told to pick-up where they have the pick-up sign and after waiting in the long refund line which was the only place i saw since there was no pick up line they tell you you should have gone to the front to the NON EXISTENT pick up sign and picked up your groceries. If you have to call them, I hope you have an hour because that is how long you will need for someone to finally answer the phone and THEN transfer you to the wrong place. Has pretty much everything you want in portion sizes you don't need lol. On top of the savings you already get a lot of times they will have combo savings such as buy this TP and paper towels get $8 off! So far so good and I have definitely saved a ton. The only drawback is it doesn't have every thing you need and is sorely lacking in veggies and fruit selection. read more

I went in today to do my Thanksgiving shopping and when I was checking out I started to feel sick like I was going to pass out, I am 26 weeks pregnant and I went to the food court to buy a cup to get some ice and the ladies at the food court are just talking amongst themselves completely ignoring me it was maybe ten till 10 am which is when they open and nobody told me they were just there ignoring me, so finally a really rude older white lady said we open until ten and she was like ugh hold on then lady in a green vest approached me which I'm assuming is the manager and very rudely told me to go back to the long line and wait at the register to pay for a cup. I've been using this Sam's since the first week it opened 30 years ago. Some of the employees currently there have been there for decades. I don't shop there much anymore but only because there is rarely anything I need in bulk now. I do make a special trip now and then to buy a whole Pepperoni and Jalapeno pizza as it is very good. So I want nothing to do with WalMart (despite founder Sam Walton being the keynote speaker at my 1984 graduation from the University of Missouri-Columbia), yet I am an eager, card- carrying member of Sams Club. I regularly fuel up at their pumps, which will average anywhere from 5 - 10 cents less than other gas stations. As I almost always re-fuel early and I am plus member, I can enter that massive structure early, which means I'll be able to take advantage of short, if any, lines, and a fresh pot of coffee. It is so nice to not have a crush of customers filling up all of the checkout line, including the self-checkout, and to often have the first choice of the best items available. This particular Sams has excellent management, reliable staff, clean facilities, and well-stocked shelves. I have been member with Sam's Club since I move to Las Vegas in 1997. On December 30, 2017, I was driving back from Houston. I got a flat tire in the middle of nowhere on Interstate 10. After driving slowly with the spare tire for 6 hours, I finally arrive safely to this Sam's club. Unfortunately it just past 7PM, the tire center has just closed. After explaining to the store manager David Johnson what have happened to me and told him that I needed to get back to Vegas to go to work tomorrow. (which another 700 more miles) He quickly call his mechanic to help me put on a new set of tire so I can continue driving back to Vegas safely and be at work on time. Mr. Johnson has show me that Sam's Club is not just a card, it is a relationship. They are always there to back you up when you needed them the most. Thank you very much Mr. Johnson for all your help, and thank you Sam's Club to have such great leadership in your organization. Customer service is awful I was buying a generator and the first guy I asked for help was picking up trash and finished sweeping and pick up the trash before he called for help , the second guys was trying to be helpful and told me that they had 17 in back stock and it would take a few minutes to bring it to me ,so I went to the next thing on my list a beverage fridge load it,and walked around purchasing other items killing more than half an hour .went back and three men working in the section I ask the guy if he had it and he replies we are getting a power washer for another person it'll be a bit . Ok. 5to10 minutes later they are stocking the self and moving prices and I ask again is it ready and he tells me no,so I ask if I could go pay up front ,and then bring it to me he said yes come to find the the generator was there on the floor this whole time and his reaction was I'm waiting for a cart to load it ,so I keep my cool went up front to pay and the fridge I was buying was the wrong one so cashier call someone to bring me the right one I was told ten minutes and I paid and waited ten minutes they Bring the generator and 31 minutes later no fridge to shorten this got a manager and her attitude was horrible ask me do you still want it at that point I asked for my money back on all items I purchased a little over 600.00 $ never again she acted like she was doing me a favor a simple let me go back a check to see wants the problem and come back with it or tell me they are right behind me with your items I didn't mention I had two of my grandsons with me a 6yr,2yr who I was getting mad at for acting up when we went for two items and wait 2 hours and ended up leaving with nothing ! read more
