I have 1 star because I couldn't do less. I ordered pickup two weeks I. A row and each time it took over an hour to obtain the purchases. There was one guy working and all pickup spots were full. This review is for the bakery. I ordered a full sheet cake in advance for a work event. I asked for a design straight out of the Sam's Cake Book. The order was nothing abnormal or difficult. Plain white cake, buttercream icing, and the same design in the book. I had someone picking it up who knew what the cake SHOULD look like because I shared a picture of the design. The cake was ordered 3 days before pick up so there was plenty of time to make sure the cake looked nice. When the cake was picked up, it looked like it was decorated 30 minutes beforehand. It was missing details and had a huge split down the middle of the cake where they joined two half sheet cakes. It did not have the flowers on it that were in the book. It looked tacky. When my coworker pointed this out, there was no apology or any attempt to make it right. No discount of any sort was offered despite the complaints of how the cake looked. The cake tasted okay but the icing was gritty. Very disappointed at the lack of care and attention given and will not do business at this bakery again for any special event. I will not recommend to anyone. read more

Club Pick Up: We recently moved to the Longview area from Fort Worth. I used Club Pick Up every week in FW and rarely had to wait more than five minutes. At the Longview club, you have to go in to pick up your order. I have ordered online for the past three months and there has never been anyone at the pickup desk when I arrive. I usually have to call customer service and request help. I have waited no less than 15 minutes each time I've ordered. This needs to be improved, Longview Sam's Club. It's definitely not up to the Walmart/Sam's normal customer service. read more

Ok this review is about the food before Covid-19. I love and I will say again I loved their pizza and hot dogs and don't get me started on how good the fountain Dr. pepper is is soooo good!! But they really needed to hire someone to do cleaning and stocking condiments. Cause it was always over flow garbage bins and nasty counter where the Condiments was and the fountain machines were either empty or sticky. But dang y'all they had good food and cheap as heck!!!! Now no food because of this dreadful COVID-19!!! I really miss it y'all!! I never thought I would say I miss normal!!!!!!!!! Ok now the store I love it I shop there twice a month sometimes more!!! But I hate that you buy something for awhile there and poof they never sell it again!!!! And open all the registers ok! And the perfume register needs to have some one there!!! I have wanted perfume and cologne and waited and asked for someone to help just to have no one show so I didn't buy any!! But yeah I really miss going in there and eating! The worst customer service. I have ever experienced. Rick the so called manager is a joke. I purchased gift card for gas pumps. The power had blinked on and off 2 people ahead of me. But registered seemed to not be phased. Went out to pumps. Slid card. It said invalid. Tried again. Then said locked. Went into store a couple ladies tried to help. But said it never went through at register. Called over Rick. Which I am sure is short for Richard which is also Dick . He said I must have pushed a wrong button. I never had chance to pushed a button. Well ok. Here's receipt. Give me my money back. We can't you have to call the 1 800 in 24 hrs and get it turned back on. What it was y'alls error not mine. Not going anymore into our conversation. But Rick definitely needs to be replaced. He has no business being a stock boy here much less manager. Will be taking this up with corporate for sure. He needs to go back to work at McDonald's are somewhere he may be qualified to work. read more

I was at the Longview TX club today. When the person in front of me handed her membership card to the cashier, the cashier coughed into her hand holding the card. She then proceeded to take that person's cash & give her cash back. NO SANITIZER IN SIGHT! When it was my turn I asked if she had sanitizer she said no, it was not provided. Really?? In flu season? GROSSED OUT! I told her what she did and she just looked at me, said "do you want to go somewhere else?". Really? I held my card while she scanned it so she wouldn't touch it. That is just a nasty gross out, shame on Sam's for not making sure your people have sanitizer handy (who knows what they could get from customers?) and for not educating and stressing that they use proper infection protection. read more

I love this Sam's. It's one of the cleanest ive ever been too I'd say. I could spend hours in here!! Always great meat and produce available as well as the biggest best strawberries during the summer!! I even use the vision center!!! You can go there to get your eyes checked on certain days of the week and order great glasses at affordable prices. read more

It seems like a lot of the prices are the same as if you buy at Walmart? They have some cute clothes and shoes, however, the quality of them is a hit and miss. So far, I have not been overly impressed. If you want to get a slice of pizza at the front to eat while there, plan to wait quiet sometime to get it. WHY Sam's Club and Walmart are IRRELEVANT. As you know, I'm not one to be overly emotional or reactionary but this episode tipped the scale. I go into Sam's Club in Longview this evening to spend over $2,500 on a pergola and some patio furniture that was on sale. After pulling the tags, I told a representative I couldn't pick it up tonight because I didn't have access to a vehicle coupled with the fact our electricity has been out for 3 days from the storm. They said I could pick it up tomorrow. I told them that was not possible due to the circumstances but I could get it Monday. Rick, the store manager, at the time told me, "I don't have the holding power." Just when the Walmart empire was starting to slowly win me over (despite constant problems with the grocery online pickup), they finished the deal. I just don't understand the business sense. My relationship with Amazon has never been so frustrating. I really want to like Walmart and Sam's but they keep doing stupid things to alienate their customers. This is the smallest Sam's Club that I've ever seen. There are a lot of items they don't have that a larger Sam's would. There are some things that are just weird brand changes - they have nasty Ragu spaghetti sauce instead of Prego, they have another brand of pickles instead of the Vlassic I bought at my old Sam's where I lived before. I have been to Sam's over and over again ! I enjoy the low prices at Sam's but I don't enjoy the negativity that is show toward employees . I have heard and seen many things especially in your café area ! I have seen a women drop a hot dog on the counter and then she pick it up and put it in the bun . All I can say is that is nasty and unprofessional I believe her name is Josie that is what was said on her name tag . I found her to be rude to other employees and yell at them across the room unnecessary rude comments . I feel like she needs better training on how to handle customers and their needs . She has a very nasty attitude toward the person she is serving . I have seen her roll her eyes at many different customer's and they have asked her about it . One gentleman asked her if she really wanted to work here and she just replied that I did not do anything when we all was clearly in-line and had seen her nasty attitude ! He told her that if she didn't want her job then she should quit, and find another one because he was tired of dealing with her . I am asking simply to relay to her that question as well . Why treat customers this way if you want your job or if you need it . If she does then change her attitude ! My wife and I both have our prescriptions filled at Sam's Club Pharmacy in Longview, Tx. The folks there are friendly and helpful. I cannot imagine getting better service elsewhere. I shop here often and generally like everything other than the fact that they are limited on payment options. I would have preferred to purchase my next set of tires here, however; after 2 phone calls I can not get someone in the automotive area to give me a quote. Where do I begin? If I could give this location zero stars, I would. The customer service I received yesterday morning was bismal at best. I went to this location yesterday to pick up a flower arrangement for an employee of mine who was hosting a large charity event. I found the flowers I wanted but needed help arranging them. I asked an employee if he could track down the person working the floral department. He informed me that she was in the building but wouldn't be "clocking in" for another 15 minutes. I let him know I was on a time crunch and would really appreciate the help. He voiced his reluctance but finally went in the break room to ask the florist if she would come out and help me. 10 minutes later the first employee came back and informed me that the florist would not be coming out until her shift started (at this point her shift started in 5min). So, I did the best I could putting the flowers together myself and went on my way, now running behind the charity event. On my way to the register, one of the managers walked by and I informed him of my experience. He said the florist wasn't there but when I told him I knew otherwise he said there was nothing that could be done. I run multiple locations across Texas for my company, all of which have hourly employees. Every single one of them would stop what they were doing to help a customer in need, without delay. And the managers would happily approve any overtime that resulted from the service provided. All of our employees and managers know that when you don't put customers first you'll end up not having any. My experience was a classic example of what happens when you put numbers before people. I would like to think that my interaction with those 3 employees was a result of poor hiring decisions. However, I get the sense it was due to a poor culture in this location which was likely trickled down from the top of the organization. read more
