The pumps are clean and the hoses are long enough to reach both sides of the car regardless how you pull in. I always have a good experience at the Sam's Club in Macon. It's always a good idea to fill up while I'm there since the fuel prices are typically better than any gas station around. The parking lot is huge, so there has never been an issue when it comes to parking. The greeter, when you walk in, is always friendly. Make sure you have your members' cards ready to present upon arrival. If you are looking to change your internet company, just bust a right past the televisions, and you can get that done with the folks there. Don't worry if you don't see them they will see you. On Saturday and Sunday, they have samples that start around 3 pm and end around 5 pm. If you are a person who likes to try new things, try the samples. On a few occasions, I have loved the recipes and purchased every ingredient to make at home. If you don't like to wait in line, you can download the Sam's App and use Scan and go to checkout. This Sam's Club has everything that you would expect from the Sam's brand. The store is newish and usually pretty well kept when I go. I am always able to find everything I need. I hate that I have to come all the way to Macon but this seems to be one of the only ones in middle Georgia. The location is bad because it is hard to get in and out of and because it is the only Sam's, you have to be very strategic when you go. It is almost always packed and let's face it, many people that shop at Sam's are annoying because they forget how to walk in straight lines and share space. Three stars because there should be another entrance to this location to make getting here safer. Also because they only ship to local Macon so I can't order groceries :( Other than that, it's cool. read more

I visited the Sam's Club in Macon on 2/24/23. I'm a plus member, so I enjoy going in early. The self checkout is fine when I only have a few items and I use it quite often. This particular morning I had a problem with the payment. There were three employees standing a few feet away talking with each other. I assumed they were suppose to help customers if they noticed a problem with self checkout. I looked in their direction and one of the young ladies made eye contact with me, then proceeded to continue the conversation. I stood there at the checkout for awhile because I couldn't figure out what the problem was. The same young lady looked at me again, but never came over to ask if she could help. Needless to say, after about ten minutes, I figured out the problem and was able to finish checking out. It's very frustrating when employees are just standing around like they have nothing to do and don't even acknowledge customers. I worked in customer service for many years, and it's very important to me. If I, along with hundreds of other customers, no longer shop in this store, this young lady would not have a job; therefore, I should be treated with respect. No one seems to care about customer service anymore, and it's sad. read more

Warehouse shopping as expected. Now Sam's is no Costco but it is certainly close. I can always count on the best quality products. Yes, one must buy in bulk but that's the point of the store. This business model saves me a lot of money in the long run, it's just that shopping day can sting a little. Most of the staff are Pleasant but of course every encounter can not be golden when people are overworked in a hectic environment. I do highly recommend Sam's club. There is and annual fee but the cash back program easily offsets that. read more

Sam's club is overall a great place to shop at in the Macon , ga area they have a great staff of friendly faces and cashiers . But it's one girl who works there she suppose to be a manger or something has a nasty attitude doesn't help out at the membership desk when the ladies need her help it can be flat out busy and she'll walk away and get on her phone . I was standing in line with a great friend of mines and over heard a conversation of her telling another employe somebody else business that's not a great look for the Walmart company . I have been part of a business account for years. In the past two years I have been deleted from the account by the person working at Sam's. Then I go and can't get what I need. We are an hour away so the boss has to go to get me put back on the account. This can't be done over the phone. No one know what's going on at customer service. The manger has to be called every time. Even then sometimes he/she doesn't have a clue. Sam's better get it together. I can't believe the level of stupidity or maybe incompetence that is allowed work. Costco will destroy you if it every comes, hopefully to north Macon. read more

This is the second time that I have had the most shocking experience in the return Customer Service section, always having to wait over 30 minutes as well. I purchased items online which wee delivered to my home with out a receipt, this is normal Sams Club practice! I was told by BRITTANY that I could not get a refund in store, it had nothing to do with them I had to call 1800 Samsclub and deal with them.???? She told me to STEP ASIDE as SHE had other customers to help! I WAS SO SHOCKED by her extremely RUDE MANNERISM, I asked numerous times for her to help me, she just refused kept telling me to get out of the way and call online!!!! I thought about not giving this review because I am optimistic. As you can see, I have written plenty of positive reviews for other companies but after multiple visits to this location, I have to provide an honest review. This Sam's Club is the most unprofessional store I have ever visited. The customer service is trash. I don't know where they find these people. Several times I've come here with little to no assistance when I need it. I have been told multiple times "that's not my job" or "I don't know, that's not my department". They didn't even point me in the right direction. After helping me get my television into my husband's truck, I was told I had to put the cart back myself. I don't mind doing that but I was told that by the men who push carts and they were sitting around dancing. This was my fourth visit and I've only been greeted once. I could go on but that's all for now. They really need to get it together. And as for the woman working behind "pick up" today, she didn't cover her mouth while coughing and wasn't any hand sanitizer on the counter. Just gross. read more

Drove way out of our way after calling to confirm inventory of an item. Arrived at the store and their inventory was off by 30 items. And these were not small items. Yet another reason l am no fan of Sam's Club. I get it that inventory can be off. I don't get if I'm calling from several hours away to come get an item that you are so damn lazy you choose to lie to me instead of putting eyes on the items like I asked. The people at this store are so rude. I tried asking for help 3 times, only to get an attitude and to be ignored. The store was unsurprising filthy as well with two aisle being taken up and block off because someone couldn't operate the fork lift and had broken a few dozen jars of olives . It took everything I had to come out of that store without cussing or making a seen. I really hope that this store finds some better pool of employees, because as a whole my experience was rather uncomfortable and strangely felt like I was purposely being ignore and all the employees just had a chip on there shoulder. Hope Sam's can fix this, I'm betting nothing will change and it will be run into the ground. What a shame. read more

I am so disappointed with the disrespect and unprofessional staff at this location on Saturday. I have 5 kids! My twins are one and half and they were in the cart which was full of stuff then I had another cart with my newborn in the car seat which had items as well. I pushed up the cart with my twins and my daughter wanted me to hold her hand so I leaned over her cart hugging her and holding her hand, I pulled the second cart behind me with my sleeping newborn. My husband is military so I'm used to family friendly shopping on post BUT this is not a family friendly atmosphere apparently. The girl unloading my items told me go to the other side (the part where you pay) my husband was on that side with our other two kids and I was not in anybody's way at all! I was helping unload my other cart behind me. The employee was so rude and wouldn't stop telling me to move on the other side. I explained that I'm not leaving my kids crying for no reason to stand on the other side. Be reasonable! Then she went to get a manager. The manager came over telling me I need to move and if my kids cry then too bad they are busy and need me to get on the other side in order to check me out. She wouldn't ring me up until I move. I told her I'm not leaving my kids and she's taking an extra 15 minutes talking about it rather than checking me out when I'm not bothering anyone! After ringing up my usual almost $600 total she starts throwing my stuff in my newborns cart and hitting her car seat with items on purpose and wakes her up! Who does that and who treats a 10 weeks old like that because you are mad!?!?! Totally unprofessional! I guess Sam's club is not family friendly, and doesn't want my usual $600 plus business! This is totally unacceptable way to try anyone! If I was blocking the way or holding something up then I'd understand but I wasn't!!! I will be spreading the word regarding this location and management for Sam's club in general. I really hope you make some changes! read more

Not too long ago, I happened into a blessing. Went to Sam's Club and there were these young people outside in the parking area fixing windshields. They were filling in the chips. It only took a few minutes and got a lifetime warranty. Feeling really good aobut having that done. This is a Sam's, and serves its purpose as a discount warehouse well. If I needed an eye exam, tires or a special-order cake, I would go to an opthamologist, mechanic or bakery, respectively. Went to tires dept today to drop off a tire that was losing air and replace it with spare. Was given a 30 mins estimate. Fast forward an hour later I was told that they couldn't fix the flat. Went to get my car in the rain and it took them another 30 mins to put the spare in. At no point the lady at the counter communicated the time they would still require to put the spare in. I often shop at this Sam's club and typically have no problems, but one incident soured my opinion of their customer service. I purchased a giftcard on their pre-black friday one day sale for 30% off. I chose a $100 giftcard to Buca di Beppo since they were already out of my first choice of giftcard at opening. I paid the $69.98 and was handed an envelope with one giftcard inside. I did not realize any problem until I used it at Buca. The amount on the giftcard was only $50. I asked the waitress to double-check the balance, then ended up paying the difference out of pocket. The next day, I went back to Sam's with the original giftcard and envelope, my receipt from Sam's, and my receipt from Buca. Three employees were stationed at customer service; only one even acknowledged me. After I explained my problem to her, she immediately requested help from someone with more experience, and asked if I had called Buca's customer service. I hadn't, but checked online and they confirmed the card only ever had $50. The second employee tried to refund my money, but got confused since I had already used my giftcard, and I only wanted a partial refund. She asked if I only received one giftcard. I said yes, but she said I should have received four $25 giftcards. How was I to know, and how did I receive a $50 instead? I would have been happy to receive another $50 giftcard (which seemed the easiest solution to me), or half of my original cost to be made right for the GC. She called over another employee, and they talked about how to make the refund work for their inventory, while ignoring me. After about 15 minutes, they asked me to insert my debit card, then sign. I said I would not sign until they explained to WHAT I was agreeing. They said it was for a $25 refund (the difference between a $50 GC and their current price of 74.98 for four $25 giftcards). I insisted I should be refunded the $35, and showed them the math on my phone. The employees had trouble understanding the cost or price to the consumer versus the 'value', but quickly revised the refund to $30. They called over the manager, but he was delayed because of a code white (senior citizen fainting spell). We waited patiently for 10 minutes, and then the second employee went to check what was keeping him. When she returned, she said to go ahead and sign; the manager didn't want to see us, and he agreed to just "give" us the $5 differrence from the register for $35 total. What! I insisted I wanted to see the manager so he could explain why he felt he was "giving" me $5 when it was MY money he was just returning to me because of THEIR error. I think that was very rude and unproffessional to tell a longstanding customer that he didn't want to see us, especially since I had already wasted more than half an hour on what should have been a quick fix. I left with the full $35 refund, and a new resolution to avoid the customer service desk in future. read more

On yesterday I picked up a cake that I placed an order for one week before I needed the cake. I asked for whipped icing and yellow cake. I picked up the cake not knowing that it wrong because it looked perfect just like I wanted it. Well, later on that day as I was cutting the cake for my guests everybody started frowning telling me I thought you ordered whipped icing, I kept telling everyone that I did, and they was like this buttercreme, this is not whipped icing. So the kids and the grown ups threw the cakes a way(which was a waste of my money) so, the next day I call the bakery and someone put the bakery manager Mike on the phone who proceeded to tell me that if I didn't have over half of the cake to bring that there was nothing he could do about it. I told him no, that I didn't have over half the cake because my guests threw it away, but I do have some of the cake left, after cutting over 20 ppl a piece of cake that fed 31-48 ppl. I'm very disappointed and Mike the manager was very rude and hung up the phone in my face. So that means that I will not be renewing my memebership, and I will be calling corporate on him, because they're always messing up customers orders.
