I couldn't leave there without some. Checking out was a breeze. The staff was quick and courteous. The greeter was very polite. They made us feel welcomed and appreciated. I like this location. I was able to find my Oatnut bread and oatmilk! The location in Ferguson stopped carrying them. Parking lot is huge. Shared with Walmart and Lowe's. Still not my favorite (I think because their layout is different and I'm not that familiar with it) but close runner up! They have huge variety of selections. I was wowed by their seafood cooked and refrigerated entree, they have the Salmon with the Garlic buttered scoop on. Oh and my two favorite fruits PEACHES & MANGOES! THEY ARE SO JUICY! I usually don't complain on my visits to Sam's, but I'm frustrated. Most visits I scan and go but this time I decided to checkout. Watching the young lady ring my items I noticed sale prices not being populated, as I informed her she states I needed to go back through the store and snap pics if I wanted correct pricing. Now I'm not blaming her but I'm angry at this process . These prices were marked manually so I'm confused on why the customer has to walk back thru this factory of a store when staff needed to update pricing. What an Inconvenience. Then coming back with prices she still overcharged me. Not wanting to hold the line up I just paid and went to customer service. Now one worker and the line long , I waited another 15 min to get a price adjustment. I guess this was a learning lesson in any sale signs throughout the store snap a pic to save you time and sanity. read more

Actually a much nicer Sam's club than any we have back home in Va. This is in a huge suburban shopping complex and traffic around 4pm on a Friday was insane. Still, clean, easy in and out and I used the scan and pay app and was inside for some essentials for our baby for our road trip for the week in like 10 minutes flat. read more

The low price on gas at Sam's Club is great, but is it worth the wait? I've noticed a new policy at the Maplewood fuel station where attendants are directing members to use the pump on the same side as their fuel cap. While this might seem like a good idea, it's actually making the lines much longer. Since most cars in the U.S. have their gas tank on the driver's side, those lanes are now packed while the passenger-side lanes sit empty. This makes the wait time longer for everyone and, frankly, makes the whole experience less convenient. The long hoses are designed to be used on either side of the car. Allowing and even encouraging members to use them would balance the lines and get everyone through much faster. It would be a simple fix that would make a big difference. read more

Sam's in Maplewood! Clean and friendly with lots of available parking. While every day things can produce some significant savings the savings on tires and other larger ticket items can pay for the membership many times over! Our tire purchase savings alone made membership worth it. We live in the Metro East and it was well worth the drive from OFallon to pick up a new gas grill I found on their app! The grill is Members Mark which is their house brand and I bought one that was the same quality as a Weber grill without the big Weber price tag ! A comparable Weber was over $600 and I paid $300 on sale for a $350 unit! The staff was friendly and I was able to get help loading it into my midsize SUV because the unit with packing weighs #165! Worst Sam's ever . Gas line insane . Stopped in for a hotdog and was told it was a 30 minute wait for a hotdog, come on, bro. Then went to pick up some AirPod three's that they had advertised and of course they don't have them. No gas , no food , no merchandise . Wasted trip . I always enjoy a good Sam's club moment because Of the samples and the sales. This location has become one of my least favorite locations to visit. Parking is hectic, and there never seems to be enough staff at the registers. We shop this store at least once a month for Items that Cosco might not have, but our last experience here has me thinking of not renewing the membership in May. The store was not busy on this visit but were flagged at the front for 5 items that we did not have which prompted me to think the young female was playing a game some one had instructed her to do, because she was naming items that was not on our receipt or her computer. When I tried to look at her machine she kept turning it. She says her computer is broken, but she continued to scan people. I called the store to talk with a manager named Cal, who never returned my call. I wanted to take the entire $300.00 order back for a refund but my wife said to just keep it. I know they were playing games because if your computer is making that many mistakes you change computers. I've been in this business and I know how individuals play games. I'm still not finish with this complaint for the mere fact that my call was not returned tells me I was right in what I said was happening. I am going to voice my concern to corporate. read more

I ordered tires from here, and had to go through their outsourced answering service because no one from the tire center was picking up. The woman over the phone tried her best but couldn't send me confirmations about my appointment, which was a bit frustrating. When I went a week later (earliest appt) for the 2 new tires, I was told they were balanced and good to go. I drove for the next 2 days with the entire car rattling and shaking out of control, and my tires should be at 36psi but were set at 45-48 psi... absurd. I had to call and bring the car back for them to rebalance & correct things. It was fine, it happens, but I feel like they should know how much air to put in the tires and properly balance them... it was just an inconvenience and bit frustrating. The employees working tires were nice and apologized though. Onto the food court... big fan of the cheap pizza and froyo! However, sadly, the vanilla froyo has been broken or not working the last few times I've tried to grab one... which is a bummer. Overall, the staff in the store is really hit or miss... some individuals are friendly and helpful while others are not as professional and appear irritated and bothered if you're needing help or have a question. At the end of the day, don't go in expecting quality service and care... it's pretty comparable to Walmart, which makes sense as it's next door and owned by the same people. read more

I came to pick some pizza up for a picnic. I asked for 2 slices of one pizza and 2 of another . Cashier was having trouble understanding/ following me. First he charged me for 1 each. Then it did not go through then finally finally it did. But the lady who was after me had to have me jump back in front of her to pay again and she was growing impatient. Come on! Been shopping here for years and I'll never be back. Today people were yelling at other people in the gas line. Then I'm waiting to turn into the parking lot, a car honks at another car that was unloading a bunch of girls at the door. The girls get out and start yelling at me for honking even after I said I wasn't the one who honked. I pulled up and told the driver I didn't honk at her, and she starts yelling at me, cursing me out, and treating to call the police. Absolute trash. I will drive an hour away if have to in order to avoid this mess. read more

I go here for gas, because it's usually the cheapest around (with membership). The people who come here are absolute maniacs, and it cracks me up. Literally every time I go, Ssomeone is always stretching the gas pump around the end or over their car. Love their curbside pickup with no minimum. Sometimes busy with a little wait but usually very quick. Love Andrew, he's always friendly with a smile on his face. I love the Members Mark products. 1. I am not a fan of Big Box or anything related to Walmart. 2. I only shop at Sam's for specific items I need for health reasons which are about half the cost. 3. I will never return to the Maplewood store, though it is very close to home. Each time I visit this store I am thoroughly disgusted. Staff: BEYOND RUDE. I used the self-checkout. Everything went fine until I didn't get a receipt after paying. I pressed the "help" button. After about 3 minutes, the "we're coming" icon went back to "send help". I pressed it again. Again, it was disabled. Finally, after about 20 minutes and another customer going to find help, a very rude team member came over and said I must not have paid because there was no receipt. Another staff team member came over and found several crumpled receipts in the machine. He never spoke a word. I said Thank You. When I had my receipt scanned the scanner showed a small item - prepackaged individual Caesar salads was not on my receipt. One reason I despise self checkout. I understand theft is a problem. However, this was an honest mistake. I said I wouldn't be going back in and they could put my salads back on the shelf. Then another employee hand checked all my items (13 total, household items, health items, and groceries) against my receipt, was rude, and acted like I was trying to steal something. What should have been a 30 min trip in and out of the store turned into almost an hour. Never Again will I visit this location. If I absolutely must go back to Sam's it will be to the Kirkwood or Chesterfield locations. read more

We stopped in here on Saturday. I don't believe I have ever shopped at this location before. I will definitely not be returning anytime in the near future. This location is completely backwards. I'm spoiled so I'm use to Sam's clubs being set-up certain ways. This club was not set-up like the normal layout I'm use to. I mainly go to Sam's for their Caesar salads at $3.98 a bag. I absolutely love the Caesar salad kit, it's by far my favorite. Why after spending like 20 minutes in the freezer, literally going through boxes of boxes of salad kits, whyyyyyyyyy did I leave out empty handed???? The salad was horrible, if the lettuce inside the bags wasn't soggy it was brown. Then there was a plant sale which I love, 2 plants for $15.98, they didn't have a single decent mother in-law tongue. The alcohol aisle, ok shelf that houses the premium liquors for example, grand marnier, casa migos and more was lacking, meaning the items were out-of stock. The clothing selection was slim but my sister was able to find 2 pair of levi jeans. I was completely un-impressed with this store from the selection, to the set-up and ohhhh let's not forget to mention how disheveled and utterly disgusting the concession area looked. The family shops here often. With our face masks on & our gloves as to protect ourselves and others. Ok, its a grocery store. But it's like on steroids. Of all the Sams Club locations in St Louis, this is the one I avoid going to the most unless I have no choice. The staff at this location is usually not very helpful. But what frustrated me the last 2 times I was there was the lack of shopping carts. I've never had this happen at any of the other locations before so have to think this problem is unique to this place! The last time this happened, there weren't any carts to be found in the parking lot either and I took back a cart from a customer who had just got done loading his car. I have to walk the opposite way just to get behind all the people who had already gotten in line before I could get out. You'd think Beyonce' was giving away free tickets. Horrible customer service. They won't even help you find an extra cart when ya got 2 toddlers and 2000$ worth of groceries. And no help out offered. It feels like all the employees hate the customers and each other. They wouldn't even let my kids stay in my lane and in the cart they were already seat belted in. They took money out of my account without my permission. I'm not the primary member on the account. However, I usually pay the annual fee at the register when given the option to do so. I do not have autopay set up so they do not have permission to automatically take money from my account just because that's the most recent card that was used to shop with in the store. We weren't given notification at the registered, or sent any emails that the fee was due. There are consumer protections laws against this type of activity, and I will definitely continue to follow up on this so this won't happen again to me, or anyone else. read more

I filled up my gas tank at Sam's Club today. I was minding my own business, standing outside my car, pumping gas. A guy with a squeegee came over to my car and told me that he was going to wash my car windows. He had barely washed my front window when he asked me if I knew that I had a chip in my windshield. I said yes, and he asked if I knew that it was spreading. I told him that it was ok, and thankfully he moved on without further unwanted interaction. Why is Sam's allowing their customers to be harassed at their gas pumps? Sam's Club must get some kind of financial compensation to allow these sales people on their property. I have an expectation as a customer, to have my personal space and property to be respected when I am on Sam's Club property. There are many options for gas stations, and in the future I will chose one where I won't be bothered at the pump. read more

It transferred me to call center. Call center could neither find my name or the order number. Call center tried calling the club. No answer. Call center called club again. They finally answered. They transferred me to tires. Tires never picked up and it went back to main club switchboard. Transferred back to tires. It rang many times then hung up on me. TERRIBLE!!! read more

Went to this location for the tire center, as I had a flat and no spare as the spare went out on my drive to Sam's. The bays were open and a tech was sitting in one. I went inside to ask for a tire patch and the employee had a nasty attitude. He told me they were closing in 30 minutes and wouldn't help me. He gave a nasty looking basically shoo'd me away. The Wal-Mart auto right next door was also closed over an hour and a half before they were supposed to be. So I had to sit there in the parking lot for 3 hours trying to figure out what to do since I had no spare, couldn't buy a tire, and no one would patch mine. Ended up having to get a tow. Very negligent store/employees. How could you in good conscience turn away someone when the repair won't take that long? I wasn't asking for an oil change or some time consuming service. Just a patch or fix to be able to get home and to work. read more

This location is right by where I work. It is always crowded and there always seems to be a long line at the gas pumps. Although the overall price for gas is cheaper than other gas stations, usually other Sam's club locations have cheaper gas prices by a long shot. I love shopping here though. I got some great deals on some Tyson chicken today. Workers are extremely helpful. I was in and out within 25 minutes. The parking lot is a little congested. It was raining earlier today and as I walked in there was a lady handing out paper towels to dry off the wet cart handles, which I thought was very thoughtful. read more

Bought the membership just to buy tires and they just threw my spare in the back and didn't put it in the undercarriage . As I was driving away, I realized they had completely screwed up my smartcar sensors and when I got home I noticed they bent my license plate. It was only when I finally got my car into my mechanic that I found out they had damaged my car it the front of it with something. Likely to cost THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS.
