This Sam's Club is on 10th and just a tad north of Trenton but is accessible from both streets. They have the fuel station, car - tire service, electronics, office supplies, bakery, vision center, jewelry, home goods, furniture, lawn and garden supplies, great deals on clothes, general pharmacy (no prescription meds) and hygiene items, and food of all kinds. Sam's sells larger quantities, sizes, and bulk items of many products, so expect to find larger packages or sizes than a regular grocery store. They don't always carry the same brands or items every time, so you get what you find that works for you, but most of the time they have plenty of things we need at great prices. On some kinds of items, basic needed things, they're pretty consistent at having in stock, but specialized items or certainly brands or certainly food items may vary. Still, we have consistently saved considerably more than our annual membership cost. ...and sometimes with only one visit. This Sam's can be crowded at peak times. But if you can get there first thing in the morning crowds won't be a problem. Sam's rotisserie chicken is great for less than $5, and they are significantly larger than the ones found at Walmart or other grocery stores. I recently found an excellent name brand winter shirt for only $13... that's less than a sale at Burlington! I also found some huge flower pots I needed for only $20 each... they would have been at least twice that anywhere else. I like our Sam's Club and have never had any problem with service. read more

Simply the worst place to shop!! I cut my Sam's membership card and trashed it. Official rating -7. Oh my, where do I begin? Let me count the ways! Starting with the staff! 1. Greeted rudely at the door by a cranky employee. 2. Store was dirty and smelled bad. 3. Staff was unwilling to help and passed the buck. 4. The employees are all walking around talking to each about how bothersome the customers are, when they're going on break or getting off work. 5. Management can't even "manage" to speak cohesively or grammatically! No listening skills. All of this is going on in one afternoon while walking the store! The whole experience was a waste of my time and my life that I'll never get back. Management is condescending, aloof, and disrespectful. They lack listening skills; questions are not allowed at Sam's. This is the Sam's policy per management: The message is shut up, spend your money and leave! Who's running the asylum?? I'd been a loyal member/customer since 1988!! I've vowed to never shop there again... and I won't! It's my money, my choice and I will shop at COSTCO FOREVER where I am treated with respect, consideration, and as a valued customer. I get everything I need in this store that I need. It's just the people who work here. Customer service could've been more professional when setting me up, but she was an airhead. Went back to fix my name they put in incorrectly using my license. Besides trying to telling me what they think my name is, the other woman was a pretty big air head too. The managers and customer services is low quality. Unprofessional. We had an incident that occurred over a month. I would love to share it but I will be here forever. Just know that the Manager on duty was unprofessional and unapologetic, plus it took almost an hour to fix a simple issue like refunding our money back for the long wait on our pizza order. They also take FOREVER to assist curbside customers. I hate coming here but they have everything that I need. read more

They always have great deals and events that are enticing for customers. I recently found great deals on Ninja Foodi Products for an incredible discount. Staff is welcoming and always helpful. I wish there were more open check out lanes and assistance with the personal check out lanes for those who do not know how to use the register properly. Sometimes you'll wait a good while before the customer figures out the register, eventually... The gas prices are certainly worth your membership alone. If you would like to grab something to eat while you shop, the food court is good, but you'll find yourself waiting. Tried calling THREE times today to get the Fresh Meat & Deli department. Phone just rang & rang for over SIX MINUTES until my call was DISCONNECTED EACH TIME!. Sent message via Twitter to answer a YES or NO question & they needed my Membership number, email, and phone number associated with the account! Whatever you do- do not let anyone fix your windshield there at Sams where you. Those guys that say it cost $20 to fix...they charge your insurance a way lot more. An item was on sale. When I checked receipt the lower price was not reflected. I told the cashier and she sent me to returns. There was a long line ( like 12 people) and only one customer service person. I had to wait over 30 minutes to get $20 back on the price error. Oh and on the way out the pregnant person checking the receipts had a mask that only covered her mouth. She had her nose exposed as she touched the receipts. I told her that she should have her nose covered and she gave me attitude. So I just made sure to put a lot of hand sanitizer when I reached my car. Inconsiderate people everywhere! read more

I did my usual shopping at Sam's North 10th today. That includes 2 large bags of dog food, 4 cases of canned dog food, cases of water and a variety of other items. Because I'm nearing 70 years old and wearing this mask makes everything so much more difficult, I opted for having them load my SUV. In the past, I've had to wait a few minutes for someone to come help; but Nathaniel met me at the outer door and said, "Go get your car and I'll meet you at the pick up area." Nathaniel loaded everything up cheerfully and was concerned that he was putting things where I wanted them. This is one nice guy! He is an asset to your business! To begin, I do like the store itself, but I had an awful experience with the bakery department. I placed an order for a simple cake three days before I wanted it. To find out the day I go to pick it up...it was not made because apparently I never placed the order...when that lady was the one who helped me place it in person. They did my cake in 15mins...did not turn out how I wanted it to be...i told another lady of the decoration and she ignored me and decided to pick her own when I said I wanted the bottom camo not white...never again will I purchase a desert from Sam's Club on 10th. Sam's club in North McAllen is just a horrible shopping experience. I can tolerate long lines and understand being short staffed but treating the paying members like they don't matter is just the last straw. I go through cashiers and the people at the door check the receipts as everyone knows. I don't do self checkout to avoid issues only to experience more aggravation and headaches only to get more. From the moment the young man at the door said "why did't you scan this item?" I assured him I went through a cashier. long story short I was belittled set aside like I had intentionally tried to steal something and made to wait for what I thought would be a manager only to be left there standing like a scolded child only to be told to get back in line and redo my check out. So for no fault of my own I get treated poorly and implied I am a thief and consequently punished. I chose to get back into the store but instead return everything I bought an request all my money back after so much aggravation. Take your business to Costco, at least there they don't further inconvenience their customers when there own employees make an honest mistake or punish the customer for something out of their control. read more

I was attempting to purchase a tv online from Sams. I had never purchased online from Sam's before but figured how hard can it be? I buy things online all the time. Well, I couldn't be more wrong. I had a question about their delivery so I decided to make a quick phone call to their store on Trenton. To my surprise, no one ever answered the phone. I called back 2 more times and again no one answered. I therefore called the store on Jackson. Someone answered but couldn't answer my question. I was then transferred to the "Customer Service Desk." The phone rang 3 times, then got disconnected. In frustration, I called the corporate office and was directed to an automated message machine. Despite several attempts, it kept offering to help me process my payment (I have no balance). I finally gave up in desperation and decided to purchase my tv at Target. At least there, I can talk to a live person. I guess Sam's is so big now that it doesn't need to satisfy the "little guys" anymore. It's funny though, I did receive a lot of attention from Sam's when they were trying to sell me their "Plus" package. read more

Product selection is good but they have horrible customer service. Managers are rude and don't offer solutions to their issues. They won't let you use the self checkout kiosk if you have over 10 items EVEN if there are no other customer waiting there. Ridiculous!! Also, for convenience, one time I placed an order to pick up the next day and when I got home I realized all my cold items were missing. So much for convenience! I had to go back and they didn't believe me so I had to come down and explain to a manager the situation. Thankfully they found my items but it took so much time and effort to get what I had already paid for. Also, customer service NEVER answers the phone.
