I came in to have tires installed through the tire and battery shop and was initially helped by an employee named Heath. He was extremely polite, professional, and got me checked in quickly. I asked if I could watch the installation from outside the shop area, and he explained that as long as I stayed behind the chained-off area outside the garage, it was fine. He even allowed me to borrow a plastic chair so I could sit while watching, which I appreciated. About five minutes later, another employee named Henry approached me in a very aggressive and rude manner. Without first asking or speaking respectfully, he loudly said, "Aw nah man, you can't be sitting out here with that chair like that, it's going to get all wet." At the time, I was completely covered by the overhead shelter near the garage doors and it was not raining on the chair at all. Caught off guard by how I was approached, I responded, "Really?" Henry then replied, "Yeah, the others are just too scared to tell you," referring to his coworkers. He then took the chair away abruptly while walking off. As I responded "wow" in disbelief at how the situation was handled, he eventually said "sorry," which made it seem like he may have realized afterward that he had handled the interaction poorly. I want to make it clear that Heath was great throughout the process and represented excellent customer service. Unfortunately, the interaction with Henry left a very negative impression and completely changed the experience. As someone who had recently returned from deployment, I was disappointed to be treated in such an unnecessarily hostile and disrespectful manner over something that had already been approved by another employee. Overall, I hope this feedback is taken constructively so future customers are treated with more professionalism and respect. read more

I do not like this Sam's Club as much as I used to like it. The last time I shopped there (5/31/2025), I tried a home delivery. This was a bad idea. I waited around for the delivery in the time period I signed up for. The delivery never arrived. When I called customer service they said it had been delivered to the wrong address and they could not say where it was delivered and then the call was ended. When I called back I was told that the order was never picked up from the store to be delivered so I asked for the order to be cancelled. The next day I had to go to the club to pickup a birthday cake, I will say that I am overjoyed that they brought back the cookie cake. So out of curiosity I went to the area they keep the delivery orders to verify that it had been cancelled and it was not cancelled. Well since I was there and I did need the items, I went ahead and picked the order up myself. Unbelievable how badly this delivery service had been. I would steer clear of this option if I were you! One of my items was a salad and it seemed like they had left that out of refrigeration to await pickup. Do better Sam's. They should just cancel it or offer no delivery option near the hours nearest store closing like mine was. I'll be driving to Missouri to shop at Costco more from now on. They have top notch customer service and the food at their cafe is so much better without staff having attitude issues. Yes Sam's of O'Fallon, your cafe staff has an attitude problem. Nobody smiles and it seems like they hate being there. Plus the food - especially the hot dogs - is not as good as it has been in prior years. I then called the O'Fallon store in Illinois and spoke with Natasha. Not only did she assist me, but she also followed up with a text to let me know a note was left for the driver. Great service! Not sure if someone was having a bad day or if they need additional training. I was having an issue with my scan and go and one worker tried to assist me but had no luck. She called over someone else who glanced and said I would need to use the register. She then proceeded to go stand and talk with another employee, you can't help me? Ok, i go to the register, two open. Then One suddenly closes and sends everyone over to the one I am in, which I had just gotten to the front of. You can't send 6 people in front of someone with one item. Luckily, they let me with my one item go ahead, which by the way, I couldn't purchase cause it shouldn't have been on the floor? Say what? Lots of unhappy customers there and several employees standing around, talking to each other. I understand self checkout but closing your lanes at a busy time and being rude is unacceptable. read more

Great place for everything except coffins. Cafeteria prices are still awesome. We use them for dog food , coffee and roasted chicken.

This Sam's Club location has the cheapest gas I have purchased in months. The line to get gas was extremely short and it's located immediately off the exit on Interstate 64. This is a cheap and convenient place to stop if you need gas, and their are numerous restaurants and other stores near this Sam's Club location. read more

The Sam's Club in OFALLON is is great wholesale warehouse. The staff are friendly and helpful. The store is very clean and the prices are very reasonable even if there are only two of you in the house. They usually have the best gas prices in the Metro East. We got a premium membership which paid for itself with the purchase of a full set of tires. They also have a discount pharmacy which is very helpful. We have also purchased batteries at significant savings. The bulk purchases are great for stocking your pantry or buying for the office or shop. read more

I placed an order online for curbside pickup between 4-5 pm today ( Sunday). Having not heard anything at 5:30 pm ( club closes at 6) I contacted customer service. They couldn't explain the delay and tried calling the club- no answer. Sad to say my dinner plans were also ruined as I had ordered a rotisserie chicken along with 4 other items. No messages, no communication whatsoever. I was told I could pick up my items tomorrow ( no help, I work 12 hour shifts the next two days). At 6:50 pm ( nearly one hour after the club closed) I received a text message that my order was ready for pickup. Very disappointed. read more

The staff up front at the registers are very friendly along with those checking your receipt. The store is clean. On this trip, I was not thrilled that they have moved a lot around and it made it difficult to find what I needed. I have been a member of Sam's Club for more than a decade and have been happy with the availability of good meats, breads, and other various foods. The beer selection is great too! They offer the 4204 Main Street Brewery beer at a competitive price. Things that I would love to see return to this Sam's Club are their bottled peach tea, Sharp Cheddar Cheese sticks, and the Sam Adams variety case. read more

Sam's Club has been our favorite warehouse store. I love the scan and go feature where you just scan the item you're buying as you put it on your cart for easy checkout. Super convenient especially on weekends. The price of USDA prime steak is the cheapest. We love using Sams as our rest area, gas refill, snack stop when we're on road trips. This Sams Club is decent enough. I have been here many many times as it's the closest one to work. They don't have some of the more "gourmet" items that the West County stores have but since I'm not usually there for myself it's OK. This week I visited on the day before Thanksgiving and obviously they were pretty busy. If I had one constructive critique it would be I know that you're trying to display extra merchandise because it's the holidays but you need to get some of those displays out of the main aisle of the store. I have had a horrible time with the tire center. After placing an order 6/27 and receiving and email that they would be available for pickup in 2-3 day. I received no further communication for 2 weeks. After calling, I was told: "they will get here when that get here". Finally after being fed up earlier this week and calling 3 times I was able to get through to someone helpful who called the manufacturer and told me the would be able to get them in 3 day. Yeah, I have heard that before. I canceled my order and will never buy tires here, and I will recommend other customers stay away from this service. read more

Sad level of incompetent service in the tire department. 1. They don't answer the phone- Tip: to cut through automated greetings, hit 3, 1, 1 when you the phone greets you. However prepare that they may still hang up on you after placing you on hold. This happened to us twice. 2. They have special ordered tires piled up but don't seem to want to work. After ordering tires we were told would be in probably in 3 days, no email, no call so we just show up a week later (can't get a person to answer the phone) to find out they closed an hour and a half early. All I can think is poor management by the lack of customer care shown. Next time FIRESTONE. Most of the shelves were well stocked except the ONE major item we went for - totally empty shelf. The store was very warm inside, for an 80 degree Sunday. My hubby actually broke out in a sweat. Gas station is always busy and due to it being one way you have to wait a lot longer then necessary to fill your car. The store also always smells bad, I can't really describe it but it just is a bad smell. Some of their prices are also higher than other places and their selections and products are extremely limited. I also hate going there because parking is a nightmare, they're always extremely busy and waiting to checkout always takes forever because they don't have enough lines open. read more

I purchased tires for my son's car at Sam's last fall and had a great experience. So, now that the time has come to replace the tires on my daughter's car, I figured going back to Sam's was a no brainer. Wrong...so wrong. I couldn't get someone to answer the phone at the tire desk. So I ended up ordering the tires through their app. No big deal, right? Again, wrong. I called to verify that once ordered (3-5 days to deliver the tires) that they would be able to put them on the car. It took three calls to finally get a human, who barely spoke clearly enough to be understood over the phone. This person confirmed that they would call when the tires arrived and that it would most likely take THREE days for the tires to arrive. That was Saturday. By Thursday...I'd heard nothing and decided to check and see what was going on with the tires. Four phone calls later...one of them to the customer service desk, where an incredibly rude woman refused to actually listen to me and told me that "she was helping another customer" (then why answer the dang phone in the first place?) but she that would "transfer my call to tires". I attempted to explain to her that they're weren't answering their phone. Nope...transferred the call and then FINALLY, a person answered only to be placed on terminal hold. When the human returned, he informed me that no my tires weren't there (after putting me on hold several more times) and that I'd ordered the wrong tires (I hadn't). Since we'd run out of time to have a new order placed, I asked him to cancel the order. He said fine and promptly hung up on me. After all that, I was treated to dial tone. Y'all need to SERIOUSLY work on your customer service and phone skills. Don't think I'll be using your tire shop in the future. Not worth the aggravation. read more

There are two men around 30-40 years old who work in the Auto and Tire department at the O'Fallon, IL location. I am writing this review, more-so complaint, because they provided extremely poor customer service. I was just at the location on 12/31/2018 at around 11:30 AM. In addition, they were muttering words while my father and I were trying to place an order. Ultimately, because of the price and our business membership, we placed an order for 2 new tires. However, we left feeling nervous about the service they will provide as well as upset with their demeanor. They did not speak clear enough, they muttered words in front of us, and it just did not seem like they wanted to help. When we called beforehand, one of the men also seemed to have an attitude. I would not recommend the Sam's Club Auto & Tire service. Pay a little more and get better customer service. Will not be going here again and I hope they are relieved from their job. read more

UPDATE BELOW Most Sam's I've frequented have demonstrated poor customer service, especially in Tire & Battery, and this location is no exception. There's a particular supervisor I've had the misfortune of dealing with who has been discourteous every time I've dealt with her regarding an issue. The latest: tire guy on the phone tells me to come at 6am for walk in. I say "6am?" He says "yes." Of course they aren't open that early and manager turns me away at the door without even an apology for their colleague's bad info. Then I try to speak with the manager about this and she won't even turn off her vacuum cleaner when I am standing in front of her to speak to her. Same discourteous manager I've dealt with before for other frustrating issues. I'd rather drive into Missouri to shop at Costco than deal with the poor customer service of Sam's Club. UPDATE: 8/6/2019 I show up for a tire rotation for my other vehicle--scheduled this over the phone 2 weeks earlier. Yeah, they don't have me on the schedule!!! I'd say "unbelievable" but at this point it is totally consistent. Whoever answers the phone at the Tire department is either totally incompetent or just wants to personally screw me over. read more

Everyone that knows me knows that I am a huge lover of Sam's Club, but this has to be one of the most poorly managed ones I've ever visited. Aisles were cluttered and layout seemed haphazard with narrow walkways often partially obstructed by sample stands, more so than other Sam's locations I've visited; meat department staff was brusque when asked simple item location questions; the only smiling, joking attitude we encountered at the snack bar was when one of the employees was mocking another employee concerning her ethnicity, which was off-putting to say the least; ~ridiculously~ long lines at the cash registers, snack bar, and the exit where there was only 1 employee checking receipts and literally 20 people in line, if not more. Quality of your products, as always, was excellent which is the only thing that saved us from a one-star review. However, I will never be back to this location again. (*Note to Sam's management, if you read this) This is not an exaggeration. Please check your surveillance system and do something to correct these issues; I love the brand too much for a location to be this disappointing. I visited the Sam's club today with my mother-in-law. I had never been in a Sam's club as I am a Costco member back at home. I personally thought the Sam's club was a little dirtier looking on the inside than the Costco I go to back at home. The one thing I really liked about Sam's was that they had amuch bigger baby section than Costco. They had more selection of diapers, wipes, and actually carried a few baby toys. I mean what is there to say about Sam's. I am a regular just because their Spinach and Bananas are cheap and I eat a ton of them in my protein shake. Lines are awful, parking is awful and I don't think I've ever had customer service here. FYI: No alcohol in the Self-Checkout. (you can do this at Dierbergs). The lady is already just standing there looking at you doing nothing. I was actually told by a Employee who I guess was directing traffic on who goes to what line to go to the self-checkout and then I was sent to the back of the long lines when they realized I had a bottle of wine. Sams club is the place to go to buy in Bulk!!! i like it a lot and they always have samples around every corner... It is a very clean establishment and the checkout lady there was very friendly. Overall this place is really nice although sometimes you can find just as good deals other places without having to pay for a membership here. I ordered tires & waited for them to come in. Once they arrived at store, I called for an appointment for them to install. There was a 10 day wait. Not the best, but I made an appointment. Do 90% of my shopping here because it's cheaper than doing coupons. So I'm there every week and we stop first for yummy hot dogs, pizza, & a drink. Very cheap kids clothes & I stock up when anything is on sale. You can tell the employees are there to stock not really provide customer service but they'll make the effort if you do!
