Im a 55 yo SWF. Thursday I started feeling the beginning of a cold coming on. I work in a day care center and every is getting sick lately. Thursday night I went to the pharmacy and requested Sudafed from behind the counter. I had done this like a few years ago. So it wasn't like I did it frequently. I vary rarely even talked to the pharmacist. Anyway, the pharmacist asked about my symptoms and I told her I was starting to get a bad cough and I had a stuffy head. She said you need an allergy medication. I already take one. She said it probaby stopped working. Ill give you Claritin or Allegra for your sinus drainage. I never told her I had sinus drainage. She also kinda raised her voice at me and even caused the assistant to get a concerned look on her face. They were refusing to give me Sudafed. The pharmacist thought she was a 'doctor' and was diagnosing me with allergies! The cheapest option they gave me was a 5 day supply of Claritin (I dont have money to just throw down on 'maybe its this'). Friday night I had a fever of 103.4. My cough got extremely bad. I spent the rest of the weekend with a sinus headaches, low grade fevers, coughing and digestive issues. I have been taking cold and flu stuff. But Sudafed really is the best. I did not go to another Walgreens because I figured they all talk to each other and I had to sign for the Claritin and I didnt want a rep as someone looking for drugs. And I didnt go to CVS because I had already spent my money on Claritin. If we ask for Sudafed, dont PLAY DOCTOR!! Unless we ask you if we should take allergy medicine or something else, keep your uneducated opinion to yourself. Whoever that blond pharmacist is, she has really diminished my opinion of their pharmacy. read more

I showed up at this Walgreens to pick up a prescription today. I waited in line, and then when I got to the counter, the guy said it was time for lunch (for every single person in the whole pharmacy, I guess), so I had to come back later. No apology. Nobody behind me. No consideration for the impact that has to my day. Terrible customer service choice, guys. Really frustrated me. read more

This drive-through is horrible. Most of the workers are very very rude. Takes 30 minutes to get your medicine through the drive-through. Why does it take so long? They asked you to put your number in but when your coupons print, they never give them to you the girl dug through all the coupons and gave me one from the very end. It didn't mean nothing when I had a very good coupon printed. I do see new faces. Hopefully they don't ruin them. read more

one pharmacy staff member is so rude, never smiles, when I say thank you, this person just walks away. I called corporate and a manager called me back and disregarded my feelings completely. Called corporate again and was told I would receive a call from upper management and no one called. I changed my pharmacy, wI'll not be returning! read more

What do I love about Walgreens? Not much because they're overpriced. But I do love redeeming my free or discount codes for photos. The quality is good and a great price when they have a promotion going on. The location is great for ones that need a 24 hour store since most are no longer 24 hours. The service here is not bad but not top notch either. I'll be back for pictures and if I need a prescription refilled otherwise for al other stuff I go to target :) read more

This Walgreens is usually ok, unless you actually need a medicine they don't keep in stock. Then you may or may not ever get your prescription filled. The quality of the store and overall helpfulness of the staff would normally cause me to rate it four stars. But I have some serious long-term health issues and need medicines that are not normally stocked, or need insurance approval, and this store does not do a good job of communicating very well at all. I previously had a medication filled that my insurance refused to cover, and was texted that my medicine was ready for pickup with a cost well over a thousand dollars. Nope...not even going to try to afford that. This was after trying to get it filled and going three weeks without the meds. Instead I called my doctor and was just prescribed a different medicine. I previously had medicines that weren't in stock and this pharmacy does a horrible job of communicating the delays, and I've had to really stay on them. One particular order took nearly three weeks. Today I had another med that wasn't in stock, which was ok because I had a little bit of the medicine I was switching off of to last me until this one came in. Pharmacy told me they were ordering it, but somehow after 2+ weeks was never notified that it ever came in. I would call to check on my script and was told "tomorrow" multiple times. Finally I ran out and they had to do an emergency workaround with my dr and a different pharmacy. This is the fourth time I've had an issue with this pharmacy, and felt I had to review it, because it seems to be a common trend in my experiences here at this location. read more

TL;DR at the bottom. It was awful. My wife had her COVID booster scheduled at 12:30. Due to our own fault, we were a couple minutes late, but nothing compared to how long we waited. There is poor signage that tells you where to check in for your COVID vaccine and we waited a few minutes in the wrong spot. This is a minor issue that we had. The other Walgreens we have gone to have had clear signage. Once we get there, we waited about 20-30 minutes in line--OF NO FAULT TO THE WOMAN WORKING THE COUNTER. She was, truly, very pleasant, she was just being interrupted. When we were done with that line, the pharmacist in the cubicle took one patient in and then, once they left, he sat in the cubicle for 30 minutes. He had no indication he was taking a break or doing anything in particular, but he was just hanging out. When he came out, he had a hole in his right hand glove over his pinky that I noticed. When he finished one patient and called for the other, the same hole was there. It wasn't until I said, loudly, that there was a hole in the glove that I saw him replace his gloves and no longer call people back with the bad gloves. He also left the doors wide open until I also had to say something about patient information. When I brought this up to the store manager, Samantha, she--instead of listening--assumed that I was concerned he wasn't helping more behind the counter. That wasn't the case. She also told me she had no control over him because he doesn't work for Walgreens. We left at 2:20 pm. We waited 1 hour and 50 minutes. TL;DR: We waited nearly 2 hours for someone to be unclean and improperly taking patients. Just to be ignored by the store manager. Won't be going back. read more

The Walgreens in Fairview Heights is horrible. The customer service is poor and the wait time is ridiculous for drive-thru pickup. This needs to be fixed, nobody has time to sit and wait for meds for an hour or longer. Get with taking care of this problem Walgreens or it can be a serious problem for your pharmacy. read more

Firstly, i'm very upset that this Walgreens does not have a redbox, since when does Walgreens not have a Redbox? I was told that the McDonalds had one and since they had one down the street that Redbox wasn't at the Walgreens. Well, now that Mcds has been rebuilt and they don't have a Redbox....So enough about the Walgreens/Redbox Rant...if your looking for a Redbox this is not your place. This parking lot is by far the worst one to ever get into and out...just a pointer don't try to come in on the pharmacy side I have almost been run over by parking lot speeders multiple times. There just isn't much room over there. This Walgreens is old and usually dirty looking on the inside. They tend to be out of stock on sale items quite often. The staff is what gave this Walgreens a 3 star for me...they were amazing :) I don't usually throw the customer service into the mix, just because its hit or miss, but to bump it from 2 to 3 I'll do it this time. I will go out of my way to go to another Walgreens this one is not convenient and is just below average. read more

If You're going to suddenly fall behind in technology and have an app that is absolutely useless all the way around, at least hire competent, somewhat friendly staff (specifically in the pharmacy) to compensate for the downhill spiral in everything else. I shouldn't have to walk in to the Walgreens three hours after my estimated time for my prescription to be ready, (according to the app that just seems to spit out a status anymore), have the arrogant pharmacy tech talk to me like I'm the fool, then wait for them to put the order through anyway and fill it within whatever time is convenient from that moment. It's funny because I used to encourage my mom to use Walgreens, always telling her that it is such a smooth process and how their so technology inclined, and that the staff always seems to have it together and how it reminded me of how a chic fila restaurant is ran . Man is that image shattered these days. Do better Walgreens!!! You have too much competition nowadays to have absolutely nothing of value to offer to your customers. read more

The staff during the day is really rude, and they act as though they are forced to be there, but Walgreens always has what I need whether it's snacks of all sorts of phone accessories like chargers or headphones. They have anything you could think of. A lot of my school supplies or office supplies come from the office section of Walgreens because they are so greatly priced and they have a lot there. read more

I went to walgreens in Fairview Heights Illinois to get 2 cans of power enfamil. I proceeded to the locked shelf to see if there was any available due to the formula shortage. When I looked, there were 6 cans of formula. I stepped from the aisle to find an employee to open the box and saw a black male walking towards me. I waved him down and asked if he could give me 2 cans. He looked at the shelf and said "Hold on one minute, I'm helping someone with the same question". Maybe one minute later, he returned and asked what I needed. I stated that I needed two cans of the enfamil. He told me "well I can't sell u any because the lady on the phone just claimed all 6 cans!" How do u allow one person to purchase 6 cans of baby formula during a nationwide shortage over the phone?? I made the statement that I was here to get the formula before the call was made and was told that doesn't matter because the person on the phone claimed it! I spoke with the lead and the store manager about the situation and was told the same thing, that they didnt wanna seem like a liar to the person buying the six cans, but its okay to allow a newborn to starve!?? There was a strict limit on toilet paper a year ago, but they are allowed to sell all of the store's 6 cans to one person!! Stupid and inconsiderate!! read more

The pharmacy has the worst, rudest staff! They act as if you are bothering them even though customer service is their JOB that they chose. They don't acknowledge you and when you call for them I was told "someone will be there when they can" nothing else. I was told that Walgreens as a whole had cut their staff to cut cost. Is the corporation that greedy that treating people with respect and decency is too much for them to handle? Or are they just losing too much money that they can't get more help so that their employees to give the attention they need and deserve? The pharmacy department is truly awful during the day. They do not have enough staff to accommodate the amount of customers. I have reconsidered my choice of pharmacy and switched. They are not understanding about people's busy schedules and they don't seem to care how sick someone is while they are waiting on their medication. Let's not forget that they have very sick contagious people infecting everyone else in the same waiting area. YUCK! I do shop there occasionally and outside of the terrible pharmacy I have been treated with nice, helpful, friendly associates. read more

Walgreens Corp really needs to think about clearing this pharmacy out and starting fresh. Very rude & unprofessional staff. They don't seem to like their jobs at all. They do not listen nor pay attention to details. I will be switching my family to another pharmacy tomorrow once I get things corrected. Wanted to print out photos my husband took of me and they refused because they were too professional looking. My husband is out of town and it was going to be a surprise and I asked them about what qualifies for a professional photo or how they discriminate (or what laws would allow them to) and they didn't know. I called them to get a clearer answer and the lady not on the phone told her to end the conversation. They lady who answered was nice and apologetic but the other last was rude and disrespectful.
