    Dissatisfied services at Sams Club Tire services in Rocky Mount, NC Shoppers Beware.

    I recently visited Sams Club on Tarrytown in Rocky Mount, NC to have a tire repaired on my new 2017 RAV4. I suggest that you NOT go here and get tires as long as BRIAN is working there in the Tire dept. BRIAN put a screw in my front tire after I inquired what was taking so long to put a new tire on my car. Made me pay for the repair and Held me hostage for 4 hours. I want a refund on my membership. I have been a member in the past but since I moved I had not updated my membership. So I updated my membership to purchase a tire. When I arrived at the tire shop about 11:16 am, I noticed the work bay area was empty. I was happy to see that I maybe able to get the tire replaced quickly and be on my way back out of town. I could see Good Year Tires nearby. I did not want to drive on the rim to get there since the rear passenger get tire was completely flat. I pull up to the bay to request services and the Supervisor says do not block the empty bay. There was no one working in the work area. I am told it will be one-half hour to complete the repair. One hour later I ask to see the Tire department Manager, whose name tag read BRAIN. I was told the other mechanic was told to pull the tires to the back of the store. So when I spoke with Brian the Manager, I asked him how much cense does it make to pull tires to the back of the store when you have so many customers waiting for service. I mentioned I was not from the area and needed to get back. Brain said he would go and check. When he returned he told me the supervisor would start work on my vehicle. Later, I saw my car being driven into the bay for work . When I look again, I notice the Supervisor is not working on my vehicle. When I got outside the Supervisor said my vehicle was ready to go. He had not informed me my vehicle was ready. He was trying to further delay me. As he backed out the work area, he suddenly stopped and did not back out of the bay completely. I asked the cashier why did he stop? She was standing near by to ensure all was clear for him to exit. But he stopped. When I pulled out to the Stop sign there was as bump under the car. I circled arounded and returned to the bay. I explained the problem to the Supervisor. He drove my car around the block when he was only to go around the parking lot. As he drove back to the bay I could see a large screw in the front tire. There was no screws in any of the tires when I first arrive for the repair. The tires were all checked. I inform the Supervisor I am not paying for another tire. He gets the Manager, BRIAN. I explained that the screw was placed in my tire deliberately. Brian forced me to pay the full price of another tire. When I asked to speak with the Store Manager, BRIAN said HE is the Sam's Club Store Manager. I went inside the store to the Member Services Desk. I asked if the Stores Manager is here today? Yes was the answer. I asked his name. Terek was told to me. I asked if they would page him for me. I asked if he was a White man. They said No. While I was having this conversation, BRIAN went into the break room. When the store manager was paged BRIAN came out of the break room and walked behind the Member Services Area and told the Ladies not to page the manager. I noticed a group of nicely dressed young men and ladies working on setting up as display, I asked if they knew the Manager? I saw the Store Managers name tag matched the name given to me by Member Services. I tried to explain the situation to the Store Manager. He did not take time to understand the situation and was reluctant to get involved. After having continious review of this situation with my witness the conclusion to the matter is BRIAN was upset at a Black woman telling him it makes no sense for a worker to be pulling tires to the back of the store while so many customers are waiting for service. Brian put that screw in my front tire deliberately to cause me to buy another tire and spend more time for another repair. I ended up purchasing 2 new tires and an executive membership. I did not leave the tire repair until after 3p. BRIAN certainly did his best to delay me and cost me more money. Why is BRIAN working at Sams Club? By the way the store manager, Terek promised a $35.00 gift card. I never received it. Sams Club I would like for you to reimburse me for the money I spent on the additional tire your employee sabotaged. You might ask BRIAN why did he tell me he is the Sam's Club Store MANAGER? I have witnesses to verify. I am sending a letter to the Corporate Offices.

    This location is very clean and organized which is very important. The staff is very polite and helpful. There is not much to say at Sam's Club you either like it or you don't.

    the prices of the merchandise is great but the staff at the door can be given a lesson on how to treat customers on the way out the store.

I placed my order on 9/6/25 and payed my bill in full $1991.00 and was assured my new rims would be here in a week . It is now 9/29/25 and their counter person couldn't even find my order in their system. When I produced the paid receipt he went and looked finding nothing . Finally I see Quinn the counter person I placed the order with he tried to con me into a different set of rims . I stated I want what I ordered in the first place . I requested that they have them overnighted because it was totally their screw up . I was told they can't do that . So now I have to wait until they come in MAYBE Friday but probably Monday or Tuesday of next week . That timeframe is bad since I fly out Sunday for a 3 week work trip .     5 STARS++++ The…read moreyoung men at this Marvus Tires & Brakes were GREAT! VERY PROFESSIONAL, POLITE, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND ACCOMMODATING. I had gotten a flat tire and needed emergency tires, because I didn't have a spare. I called and they took me right away. I purchased 2 new rear tires, because I hate just replacing one tire. It causes the tire and ride to be comfortable. I was so please with their professionalism and asked them to order three more new tires and that I would be back next week when I return this way. They assured me it was no problem and my new tires will be there when I returned. And, sure enough they were good with there promise. I would highly recommend this Marvis Tires and Brakes location in Rocky Mount, NC.,right across the street of a Wawa. Which by the way is also excellent service, food and drinks.

    My rear brakes were making a noise so I took my car to Mavis to check it out. I was told I needed…read morenew rotors and brakes and it would cost $500! I was shocked because I've been there before and didn't have a problem, although I'd read bad reviews. I called a friend who said don't do it. I took my car to a mechanic's shop this morning and only had to have the brake pads replaced and even that was not a dire need. The rotors didn't need to be replaced or even turned. I'm really disappointed that I was nearly scammed in this economy. I suggest getting a second opinion if you go to Mavis (or most places).

    I'm perplexed by the negative reviews, frankly…read more These guys squeezed me in on an emergency basis while I was traveling from FL to DC, turned it around in just a couple of hours, AND, charged me way below my anticipated cost. And I'm not special - it's not as if I got a better level of service than anyone else, so I'm baffled as to these comments from people saying they felt slighted or disrespected. This shop got me out of a serious jam, and did it quickly, and they didn't have to do that. And, they didn't pitch a fit that I had my bulldog in the air-conditioned waiting area with me! Because a bulldog can't take 96-degree heat, you know. They cannot do it.... Kudos to Alex and his team, and, really, I wish I had this same shop where I live.

    I had an apt @ Firestone in Rocky Mount NC at 4:30 today to get new tires, to replace a set of new…read moretires I bought previously there w 32,000 miles on them, the tread was nearly gone on all four tires, I had proof They'd been rotated 3 times when I get my synthetic oil changed elsewhere & it was almost time to get another oil change & rotation. I have an 80,000 mile warranty on those tires but the warranty didn't replace the tires. The tall guy waiting on me worked up a prorated savings of maybe 1/2 price on the tires so I still ended up paying over $600 for this set of new tires and he insisted I needed an alignment.. He told me I should have had my tires rotated at Firestone. But I'm not so sure about that since It took them over 3 hrs to complete my job while I waited freezing with their ac blasting. . with his snarky attitude and comments to me. when my car was ready I was going to my car & the salesman caught me in the parking lot & said, your tire air pressure sensor is on in your dash but it'll go off in a little while when you start driving. Well that didn't happen. And I've had all four of those sensors replaced in the last year or two, and there was no problems with any of them when I brought my car today. My 30 min drive home didn't fix it . Hopefully another Firestone dealer in another state can fix it and won't shyster me for more $. He was condescending and ignoring me and wanted to bicker with every question I ask while he was entering my Info at the computer ‍ At one point told me I could go sit down. I asked if the warranty was still for 80,000 miles with this new set of tires or would he prorate that too. I feel like I had legitimate questions about how this pro rated tire warranty is working, He wouldn't even look at me. Finally, I said, are you being short and dismissive with me for some particular reason bc it feels like you are & I don't know why. He said oh I'm just really tired. My baby kept me up last night. I said well I just wanna understand what's going on with my car and tires so I can prevent it in the future and he said , Your front end is out of line. I said it doesn't appear to be when I'm driving the car. He said my tires are tilting out like duck feet. At that point I thought he was trying to find a way for this warranty not to work for me, but I had my receipt and proof of my tire rotations when I had my oil changes before and he said I should've come there to get my oil changed and tires rotated because the other shop didn't do my tire rotations properly and it caused my tires to wear out too fast, if I'm supposed to believe that my car is out of alignment when it doesn't pull left or right when I drive or break and my steering wheel is lined up straight when I'm going down the road and not pulling. that's the kind of in line that I've been used to . To learn kn my car was out of line and the other station that takes care of my car that I trust and like never mentioned anything like that to me was strange. But wearing out 47,000 miles too fast is a problem, and I don't feel like it's my fault and I'm surprised he made me pay for half the price on those tires when I had a warranty for up to 80,000 miles. it makes me feel like they want me to believe they're the only place that knows how to rotate tires & change oil & that the only way to get my work done properly is to come there, but I did not enjoy my visit there today. It was freezing in that waiting room & there was no way to get away from it.. and even though the store was supposed to close at 7 o'clock, they didn't get done with my car until 730 and I saw them park my car out in the parking lot away from the bay, and it took him 15 minutes to come and come tell me that my car was ready and I could go, but after alll that, my car still isn't fixed. and now it's another problem. my new tires were greasy and dirty and as was my wheels when they gave me my car back, and three of the tire air stem caps matched and one doesn't. I don't recommend them...
