The level of care and customer service back then was completely different. Recently, I had a very disappointing experience with the current manager, Lilit. I returned chicken that was clearly uncooked--not for a refund, but simply to make them aware so it wouldn't happen again. Instead of handling it professionally, she became defensive, raised her voice, and insisted the chicken was cooked, essentially accusing me of lying. As a long-time loyal customer, that was very upsetting. I was respectful, but the way I was treated was rude and dismissive. This is not the kind of service Golden Market used to be known for. Because of this experience, I highly discourage anyone from going there. I will not be returning, and I will not recommend it to my family or friends. I truly hope management takes this seriously and brings back the level of respect and customer care that Soorik and Ofelia once provided. Btw I Think she needs to know that she is just a manager at local grocery store and she is super uneducated and low class.

They bring a vibrant mix of Armenian, Iranian, and Mediterranean flavors under one roof. Every time I visit, it feels like a little taste of home especially the candy section. It instantly reminds me of my grandma's treats, just nostalgic and delightful! Their meat section is also a standout; the mortadella cold cut and sausages are exceptional so professional and rich in flavor, it's a must-try. Beyond that, they have a wonderful array of Persian snacks, cookies, and a wide selection of fresh produce. I'm always so happy shopping here; it's clean, well-stocked, and the staff are super friendly. There are always plenty of employees, so it never feels chaotic. The only small downside is that some of the refrigerated foods are a little pricey, but considering the quality, it's a fair trade-off. Plus, you can order hot foods to go! they grill up delicious meats right on site. Parking is at the back, which is super convenient, even if the front lot is a bit tight. Overall, this is a gem in Glendale, and I highly recommend it!

If I recall correctly, it used to be able to fit in the parking lot of the Wells Fargo for the most part. I visited for the first time in years, recently and the market expands through a few blocks and lots. I enjoyed it before, but now they have a comparable selection of some other notable farmers markets around the city. With the expansions and heavier foot traffic, parking can get a little tough. They have over 30 vendors and some even let you try the food before buying them. Parking situation was a disaster, No parking and one of the streets near buy was closed. I had to circulate like 4 times, parked 2 blocks down and had to walk to the Market. I bought couple of scented candles, loaf of olive bread, 4 Croissants, dozen eggs, 4 beef Pupusas, fresh Sunflowers from their floral vendor, 2 regular size ground beef tacos with cheese and tomato from their taco stand, 2 Apricot preserves in a jar, got fresh berries. 5 Peaches, Strawberries, and blueberries, and one cup of decaf. Coffee to enjoy with my croissant. Place was clean, and dogs were very annoying being in the presence of food and people. They have dried fruit, nuts, few clothes, jewelry, and more.. A small pony ride with carousel in the back for kid's entertainment. Everything was overly priced and not worth paying the money for. You can get all that at your nearest grocery store for a lot more affordable prices. It was worth giving this place a try though.. I think I will stick to my Studio City Farmers market that is literally 5 minutes away from my house. They also don't have parking, but it is somewhat more manageable than this one was..Remaining food that doesn't sell, they make a donation to the nearest charities!

We got lucky with parking and found a spot right next to the farmer's market - there's a small lot if you want to try that. There's also a nice clean public park across the street where you can enjoy your treats. Along the street are a bunch of food trucks you can also try! The goods here ranges from freshly made food to produce to hand made jewelry. Every farmer's market day will be a little different, but if you happen to love pickles or loose leaf tea, I highly recommend the Chafolio stand for tea and The Crazy Cucumber stand for pickles.
