Omg yum. All made in house and ready to go!

Lately when Im not surviving off of xanax, ozempic and jack and diets, this is my favorite market for freshly made persian and armenian food that reminds me of home made food. They have an abundance of fresh fruits that are in season, Pastries, Freshly made soups, and every middle eastern spice. To top it off, The wonderful staff are always so kind and inviting. Love them.

Persian Cucumbers. Good quality and inexpensive!

Great little neighborhood market that has the best tomatoes and cucumbers! Any type of produce and herbs are good quality and fresh! I also love grabbing some mint leaves and basil here; Golden Market is a small international grocery store that specializes in Eastern European and Middle Eastern goods. From Non-Perishable items to the Deli counter and to the pre-made grab and go section that offers Armenian/Persian/Russian goodies; there are lots of neat products. If your familiar with Karina's Cakes (a bakery in Glendale) they got a small fridge section of the bakery's popular items like :honey cake sheet and birds milk cake sheet. Service is quick and friendly.

Edible Persian Rosebuds are a great garnish.

Golden Market is a small family-owned grocery store specializing in Armenian, Persian, & Russian staples. Whenever I visit my beautiful sissy, Melineh, she always has a delicious spread comprised of delicacies she's purchased from here. The produce is always fresh and the lavash is soft. I love the Armenian String Cheese, especially the one marinated in spices, and the Russian Caviar is some of the best I've had. They also sell pre-made Persian and Armenian food. The edible Persian Rosebuds are so adorable and are a great garnish for cocktails and charcuterie boards. You can even steep them for tea. They also sell beer, wine, & Liquor, cakes from Karina's, and have a deli & butcher counter too.

Me - happy in Golden Market

My husband and I this happened into this treasure of a grocery approx 15 years ago during our visits the Shamshiry Restaurant. The minute you walk in - you are greeted with tantalizing, complex aromas that tell you that you are in for a special Armenian food store, we always find something new to try! They have the BEST cheeses - including five kinds of Feta cheese and. Their smoked fish, meats, and homemade fresh dishes are varied and delicious- the produce superb and not available in other stores; mysterious jars, boxes, and cans contain every kind of garnishes and taste adventure - they have Middle eastern desserts and spices; and the fragrance of a myriad of whole coffee beans fresh-ground coffees ... What's not to love?!

Made with quality flour and baked fresh hourly, they are usually served hot from the oven, and I can't resist eating 1/4 of it before I get home. The fresh cut flowers and plants welcome you into this Armenian market, with tall, vibrant roses unlike those found at most florists. Big Square also offers a solid selection of produce, meats, pastres, alcohol, and other goods. Specialty items like Armenian coffee, unique condiments, and hard to find deli products are always available. For meat products, they have frozen quail, which is usually difficult to find... however, I have never been a fan of their other meat items. The one time I purchased shank and liver, it wasn't as fresh and of quality I anticipated. Parking can at times be difficult and drivers are a bit aggressive. I suggest shopping here during slow hours vs. peak times.

Greens were not fully dried either prior to cooking so that resulted in just water pouring out with spicy seasoning. What was supposed to be a treat went in to trash in 2 seconds. My family…read moreand I have shopped at this store for years and have spent thousands of dollars here, as I'm sure many other local residents have. This is also the busiest store in the area, so professionalism really matters. Unfortunately, I've witnessed repeated behavior from this manager that is completely unacceptable. I've seen her yell at middle school-aged kids at the front of the store, right outside the Ralphs entrance, with no self-control and no professionalism. I've also seen her belittle employees--speaking to them as if they were toddlers rather than adults--and I once saw an employee sitting outside almost in tears due to how they were treated or accused. On another occasion, she was yelling at a mentally ill individual outside the entrance, which again was highly unprofessional. Employees also seem genuinely afraid to speak up or push back against her behavior. From what I've observed, she appears to abuse her position of authority and manipulate situations in her favor, creating a work environment where staff feel intimidated rather than supported. She regularly accuses people of shoplifting without clear proof, often based solely on her own assumptions. Her attitude is extremely condescending, and she seems to pick and choose which customers she feels deserve customer service. That is not how a manager should behave. What's most frustrating is that when concerns are brought to other managers, they appear dismissive and brush them off, as if management simply protects one another regardless of behavior. This creates the impression that there are no consequences. Some of the Employees at this Store are Great and consistently provide excellent customer service and professionalism. That is the standard all managers should be held to. Sadly, this particular manager is a liability to Ralphs, and it's disappointing that the company doesn't seem to recognize it.

The meat was so tender that it was immediately absorbed into my bloodstream! The bread was just barely toasted; perfect IMO. The other ingredients were complimentary players. The place itself is almost barn-like and there is an endless supply of potato chips and not much else. There are a couple of tables outside, but it wouldn't be adequate for a large group of people.

I saw an Instagram post about a thick-cut wagyu pastrami hoagie. Well, the thick-cut pastrami isn't…read morea thing anymore. The pastrami is cut thin -- thin, but it's still good. What we ordered: 1) a create-your-own pastrami sandwich with mustard, pickles, and Swiss cheese, 2) their new pastrami cheesesteak. 3) a banana pudding (which I haven't tried yet) The standard pastrami hoagie good, but those kinds of pastrami sandwiches are pretty ubiquitous in SoCal-- pastrami, thinly sliced; maybe there's pickles, maybe there's mustard, maybe there's jus for a dip (their's is dry), on a French roll. I can get that kind of pastrami sandwich closer to me. On the other hand, a pastrami cheesesteak is NOT something you'd see around these parts. According to the menu, their cheesesteak has their signature pastrami, Cooper sharp cheddar, and onions on a hoagie roll. We preferred the pastrami cheesesteak over the standard, simply because of the novelty but also for the taste. The cheddar gave the cheesesteak a richness that a regular pastrami sandwich wouldn't have. Also, the melted cheddar had a binding effect on the pastrami; the meat stayed in the sandwich. You didn't end up with a third to half the pastrami ending up escaping the confines of the roll halves. The pastrami cheesesteak also included a 2oz serving cup of chipotle aioli which we really didn't need. The flavor on its own was enough for us. If I had a minor gripe on this cheesesteak, maybe a hit of acid would've been nice, but cheesesteaks usually lean toward rich and gooey so this sandwich's flavors and textures are par for the course. About the place itself: 1) the sandwich shop is on the corner of a major intersection, Lexington and Pacific 2) other than a driveway with a single space, it is ALL street parking. 3) there is NO parking on Pacific 4) the only dine-in option is a small porch with a couple of tables 5) be stage are all canned or bottled; there is no fountain The sandwiches are made to order. My order was given a wait time of 15 minutes but I'm pretty sure it was faster than that. I don't think I would drive all the way from the Rosemead area, but it's clearly a local's favorite. If we were in the area, we'd totally order the pastrami cheesesteak again, maybe with pepperonis. Their pastrami is no Langer's, but it's definitely a cut (no pun intended) over the standard Jim's 1/4 Lb or Rick's type joints. You can taste the care in its preparation. Overall, a really good sandwich place.

This particular Trader Joes is in the heart of Glendale. It is shared with Coffee Bean, and Walgreens. I only go to this particular TJ whenever I have a dentist appointment. Well, on 5/28/26 at 4pm I walked in to this TJ to buy few items to take with me on my mini trip. They were: one gallon of water, 4 bananas, ready made/cut watermelon, 2 Sparkling waters (Tangerine flavor), and large bottles of Pellegrino. I didn't notice that the date on the cut watermelon was expired. When I got to my hotel and wanted something sweet and cold, I opened the container and it was all smelly, not crisp, and watery. They seriously looked at me and said one of their employees complained about me. He told them I touched him and he didn't like that. The shock ran through my body. What? I may have tapped him and smiled saying Merry Christmas to him. I am a 72 year old woman who is very friendly to people and was shocked at this. Why didn't they just tell him to stand up for himself rather than chastising me for being friendly? I am from Canada living in LA and I see people are less friendly in CA, especially in Glendale. I am a retired social worker of 26 years and would never be inappropriate but suppose I understand. I'll just say I spent a few days feeling shamed like a child and was unable to return for a month until I came to acceptance that this was handled very badly. At least I feel it was.
