I have adored this place for YEARS but they really dropped the ball when I needed them most. My dear grandmother's wake was last Monday afternoon. I needed a very special arrangement for her so I stopped in here Saturday morning and showed a picture of which one I'd like to purchase and have delivered. I was politely told that they would try their best with what stock they had. No problem. After I took my first lap around the flowers at the funeral home on Monday, I realized that I hadn't seen my own arrangement. I took another lap and found one that looked somewhat similar but didn't think the price I paid for it matched the presentation. Come to find out, that was mine but I wished that it wasn't! The only way we were able to confirm that is the process of elimination through the cards in the other arrangements, being that my sympathy card somehow disappeared. The first thing my eyes were drawn to were the half eaten lilies in the center; most of the rest of them being cracked or bent. They charged for a tacky ribbon with single letters stapled to it, instead of a nice script. The arrangement itself was supposed to be sitting taller as well. Everything was just a mess! On the other hand, as I stated previously, I have been a loyal customer for years and have otherwise never had a problem. I feel it important to note that in the past, I always stopped in and put a bouquet together with the florist. Maybe that's the difference here? If someone isn't there to refuse a decaying flower, they just toss it in? I don't know. What I do know is that I'll never have flowers delivered from here again. Maybe I'll do another drive by some day. read more

Called today to get flower. Have gotten flowers numerous times from Sams. Between get well Flowers, and random flowers here and there. Now they won't deliver to Almont when they have in the past. DO NOT USE THIS FLORIST! Their website is NOT EVEN CLOSE to what is delivered. FALSE ADVERTISING! Sterling Heights, MI I ordered sympathy flowers for a close friend who lost his dad and even "upgraded" the bouquet to be delivered. The bouquet pictured on their website appears very large, full of lilies and white roses (12 to be exact) and blue accents (Sapphire Skies Bouquet) . My friend sent me a picture of the flowers delivered and it is VERY SMALL, filled with filler greenery, only 3 full sized roses, miniature roses (not pictured on the website), carnations and 3 lilies. I called this morning to speak with the owner and figure out what they could do, only to be asked to send them pictures of what was delivered, which I did immediately. I was told this was the back of the bouquet and to send another of the front. I had my friend take another picture of the bouquet and included a picture from their website showing the gross difference in advertised vs. delivery. After jumping through all of their hoops, I was offered a $10 refund or they can pick up the flowers for a full refund - very unacceptable for a repeat customer who spent $100 on this product and to do to a grieving family. I guess I should have checked their other reviews, as everyone seems to have the same experience with this florist. Save yourself the time and money and use Viviano's for every delivery!! My husband bought me a dozen long stemmed red roses for my first Mother's Day; They didn't even last a week. Then he bought an arrangement for me last Thursday after work. By Sunday, it was dead. Went back in, and showed picture of last order I placed, which clearly shows this order was tiny. Was told to get out and never come back by the owner. Don't waste your money here. My favorite colors are pink and red so my fiancé ordered an arrangement with red roses and pink carnations and he paid over $100 for them and when I received them today on Valentine's Day I received an arrangement of cheap flowers that could of been purchased at Kroger for $12.99. Two roses in the whole arrangement with these white flowers that weren't even bloomed. Very disappointed. The arrangement that was ordered was exceptionally large. This was very tiny. About a dozen flowers total. This company is robbing people out of their money with lying about what they're actually going to get. I give this place a -10 for customer service! They rapped my grandmother of $300 for an arrangement that was promised to be a specific design asked by my grandmother. When we went to pick them up the OWNER himself bitched and treated us horribly. His design was nothing of what we asked and when discussed about our concern he did nothing to fix the situation. BOTTOM LINE- Don't waste ur money here when Utica florist will treat u much better for the money ur paying!! read more

Patti from Sam's florist was amazing!!! She was so easy to work with, listened to all our wants/needs, and did a wonderful job with our flowers for our wedding day!! Out bouquets, corsages, boutonnières, unity candle arrangement, etc. turned out to be perfect. We didn't have to worry about a thing. Plus, prices were very affordable! We would definitely recommend. Sams Florist did our wedding flowers... yes I am a guy, and honestly it was the best I have Ever seen. We couldn't have been happier, and of course the beautiful bride (my wife) loved them! They put faux diamonds in the roses and the arrangements on the tables my aunts where nearly fighting over them! You get what you pay for and it was more than worth it!! read more

Same as Yelper Mindy D...bought a beautiful arrangement out of the cooler. Not cheap. Within a couple days, flowers were dead. Called, and they would not do anything to compensate me, despite them even saying that the flowers should have lasted a week! And this isn't the first time I've gotten crappy flowers from this place. The worst experience I have ever had with buying flowers. I purchased flowers over the phone and went to pick them up and when I got there I complained and said the flowers they were selling me looked dead. The owner tried to charge me for new flowers and the dead ones. He is all about money and the customer service is horrible. He has no problem ripping you off either. I purchased a funeral arrangement on Feb, 17th, 2016 and Pat on the phone was extremely patient listening and writing down all my requests. The arrangement turned out Exactly what I had pictured in my mind. This was our second funeral arrangement with Sam's Shelby. We came back due to our experience the first time. read more
