36 hours travelling on a series of uncomfortable planes makes Chloe something, something...
With 3 hours wait until I was to fly home and feeling sweaty, tired and sore I began walking to my gate and walked past Samskara. The aromas of essential oils coming from this place wafted over me and a dimly lit reception called me to "follow the light."
I knew it wasn't going to be cheap. It's a massage parlour in an airport - what do you expect? But I was surprised at the "basic service" prices. In comparison to what you could get at a good spa in Adelaide, this place was quite reasonable.
The service was friendly, peaceful and as soon as you walked in you almost forgot you were in an airport terminal.

For those 20 minutes I was massaged into a blobby mess that now instead of smelling like I'd spent 36 hours on a plane, I smelt like a rose.
My only "star lost" was for trying to be up-sold to buying a longer massage package 3 times during having my neck and shoulders rubbed. Not really the most relaxing, nor comforting experience and made me feel slightly trapped. If I said no to a $120 60 minute massage would my massage therapist do less of a good job? Thankfully I stuck to my morals and so did he. read more
