I recently went through a divorce. Before coming to Billy, I hired a big shot attorney in Knoxville that was absolutely worthless. After she represented me for 30 days, I quickly realized that she wasn't vested in me or my case. She sold me a bill of goods but after she received my money. She wouldn't return my calls, and she would not listen to what my concerns are. She just kept saying. I do this everyday and let me lawyer for you. See, I knew that my case was going to be a hard one, and I strategized for 3 years before filing for divorce. My previous attorney's legal advice had my case going sideways really fast. I had a sick feeling in my gut. So I reached out to Billy to get advice about my case. He had the answers that I already knew was true but my current lawyer ignored. So I gladly walked away from a 3500 retainer fee, and paid Billy a new retainer. Billy took time and listened to me. Then he emotionally vested his self and time into my case. He used everything that I gave him with a list of embarrassing interogatories, restraining orders, and contempt charges. After he dropped off our discovery, the next call was let's schedule mediation and settle. Where as before, my exwife wanted to try our case in front of the judge, and act like she was the victim. So after 10 hours of meditation, (which Billy never took another call or stepped out of the room). I had his undivided attention. At the end of mediation, he settled our divorce and I am not paying 1 cent in alimony. We divided assets equally, and I didn't have to conceed on one issue. So, if you truly want an attorney that's reasonable and cares deeply about the client. Then you should hire Attorney Billy Gribble. Especially if you are getting divorced in Knoxville. He's not in the downtown Knoxville attorney club. My ex-wife and her big shot Knoxville Down Town attorney got it handed to her solely because of my decision to fire my other attorney and hire Attorney Billy Gribble. He kept telling me I was never going to get the amount of money I was asking for. He seems very new and not very helpful. He let my ex change paperwork and never informed me about it. I almost singed for a lower alimony amount then we had agreed. He never told me there would be closing cost with assuming my mortgage. So I didn't know to try to get that included. I didn't cheat, steal money and lie. I was very generous as 50/50 as could be. I felt like my ex should have paid Brock not me. Promised to do some simple paperwork but got very upset at me for telling him how I felt. Not professional when under pressure at all. Never got the paperwork he said he would do either. Don't count on him to inform you. Do you own research on EVERYTHING!! Worst lawyer I've dealt with. Cost me a ton in losses. If I could give him a zero I would.
