Today, however, I pulled in…read moreto get my gas tank filled, with all six signs on the premises listing the gas prices for regular all showed 3.299 per gallon for cash payment. One employee was changing the last of the six price signs for the middle and premium grades. I went into the station and paid thirty dollars cash on pump 7. When I went back outside to pump my gas, the price shown was 3.339. I went back in to talk to the lady in charge and she said "I just changed it." After putting the gas into my car, II went back inside and talked to the two attendants, who said the manager was busy. I said, "all six signs said cash price for unleaded was $3.299, but the pump was still set for $3.399." They told me there was nothing they could do. (I can afford the extra $ 0.04 per gallon, but I don't like to be shown one price and then be charged another. Mistakes happen, but not rectifying obvious misrepresentation does not sit well with me. They made a little extra money today, but lost a regular customer.)

This was not even my problem.... the staff, manager I am assuming, was sarcastically rude when I asked if there was another bathroom! When I pointed out to him that he was rude, his comment to me was "then don't ask stupid questions!" I just filled up my truck and wish I had waited for the next station! They were also at the same time arguing with another customer who paid cash but they were refusing to give the cash discount! This person would not let me know the owners name nor his.

Thing is I NEVER allow my tank to get much below half a tank because there are times I need to go to the ER!! Was between Moke Hill and San Andreas and literally started praying non stop. Got to San Andreas and pulled into the Pari Mart where I always get gas and was about to burst into tears because my body hurt so bad (long story) when one of the young men from the Pari Mart came and asked if I needed help. 'Yes, please' I told him. He was so kind and filled my car and talked to me a bit to make sure I was ok. Had him write his name down for me, so I can write him a thank you card because his kindness was so appreciated and wonderful!! Am so grateful we have the Pari Mart here in San Andreas with such kind people. Thank you.

I opened it when I got home and it had a bad battery. It was already past 9pm. I don't live close! The next day I go in to replace it because this is not a cheap habit. I walked the dog around the field out front which was perfct to stretch everyones legs. They have nice bathrooms and were very accommodating. My husband bought packaged snacks for the kids to share. However I had other plans. I went in by myself and saw that they sell Krispy Krunchy Chicken. I mean, I couldn't resist. So I bought a box of Cajun Tenders and just for fun I got a side Corn Dog. Then to add to the fun we bought some lottery tickets. We loved the chicken. Its crispy and crunchy and good. The Cajun seasoning wasn't too overpowering. It was a great snack. The corn dog was also excellent. If you're in need of a very good pit stop come get some fried chicken. What could go wrong? I should note we did not win the lottery.

We always set off on our camping trips after dark. It's not intentional, it just seems to happen…read morethat way every time. I have a secret spot I like to camp outside of Jackson, off Hwy. 88, and we usually stop at Jon's on our way up there for last minute snacks and bags of ice. They are open 24 hours selling gas, drinks (including alcohol) and even fresh popcorn. This is great for people who never know what time they'll be getting on the road. Their coffee station has an extra-caffeinated brew, as well as a variety of syrups you can pump in with instructions on creating great, popular flavors like vanilla mocha. I imagine extra caffeine is necessary when working a late shift at a 24hr spot. Service is friendly, so if they're tired in there, they don't let on. A fridge-deli contains potato salads, macaroni salads, deviled eggs and other homemade goodies. I prefer making a stop down the ChexMix and Sunfower Seed aisle, but the food doesn't look bad if you want something fresh. Ice is sold in 8lb bags. A few of these will fit in a medium-size cooler. Unless its full of beer cans, in which case you prob only need a couple bags. And your camping cooler should always be full of beer cans.

I'm always amazed at what I can find there, and I'm so glad I don't need to drive all the way to the big stores, saving those trips for another day. We also fill up our gas there when running low, which is very convenient before hitting the lake or before heading to the city areas. So glad it's so close!

I'm not sure how often they grill outside, but someone was grilling tri-tip yesterday. We bought the tri-tip family meal, which came with tri-tip that we picked up outside, then had it sliced inside at the deli counter, 2 lbs of baked beans with bits of unexpected pineapple, potato and macaroni salad, and rolls, all for only $36.99 + tax. The tri-tip was still juicy and delicious after microwaving it at home, and the cold salads made it back safely since we had a cooler. The beans were exceptionally delicious. I've never had them with pineapple before, only in macaroni salad. We need to boycott fast food with their outrageous prices these days. This was obviously better and fairly priced.
