I needed one more thing from produce so I hurried- another announcement at 7:02 said to "stop shopping- we are closed" I grabbed my last item and went up front. By 7:03, I was already being checked out. And yet the reaction from staff was... unbelievable. There were several employees standing at the front just staring at me--clearly irritated, like I'd personally ruined their evening. It was three minutes past closing. Not 30. Not 15. Three. Then it somehow got worse. They were out of bags (understandable), so I asked if I could use the hand basket to carry my items to my car, which was literally parked right in front of the doors to the store. I was told no, "these baskets cant leave the store"--and that I needed to go outside and get a cart instead. So I had to run out, grab a cart, and come back in... while the entire staff stood there watching me. There must have been 6 or 7 employees glaring at me with dirty looks like I had insulted them personally. The older checker was grumpy and rude, but honestly the whole team contributed to making the experience feel hostile and unwelcoming. I completely understand wanting to close on time. But if ringing someone up at 7:03 feels like a crisis to your staff, that's a management issue--not a customer problem. Also- why not sell reusable bags if you run out of bags so often? I would have bought one to make it faster for me to exit the store. Seems like a simple solution to avoid the extreme stress your staff is experiencing

I'm also on social security disability as I have cancer and some days those powerades are all I can get in my body. And because I'm on a fixed income, I don't want to pay $3 a bottle for it when I can get it at Dollar general for much less. That's the only thing I can think of that your issue is with me. The girl humiliated me in front of everybody the people that were standing in line behind me heard it all, it just wasn't cool. There was a family of two, infront of us getting 3 burritos so there was a wait. Knowing it's hand crafted should take away from your impatience. I'm able to come in here and buy snacks and all the pricing is pretty good. They do have everything that every Safeway has which is really nice. You know what to expect you can get vegetables you can get meat. You can get all kinds of things and just because this is the only Safeway or grocery store in the area they don't have their prices raised in a super huge bracket which a lot of stores would do just because they're the only one in the neighborhood

I went back for more the day after meaning to bring back for family..and I ate more than half on the way home. Along with great selection of fruits, they have amazing baked good such cookies, pies, turnovers and interesting snacks like garlic chips and other dried veggies and fruits. I will 100% be stopping by next time I'm in the area.
