I come at varying times throughout the day/night, and I don't find it particularly too busy at any given time, although I will say the afternoons are a touch busy since I'm sure people are getting off work around that time and such. The staff here is pretty awesome, always friendly, and they appear to want to make sure the gym stays in good shape with regular maintenance. I always see staff members going about wiping down equipment and so on. Restroom (well of course I can only speak for one of them) seems to be cleaned and maintained regularly, and their beverage cooler at the front of the gym stays stocked as well (if you're into C4 Energy drinks and water and the like). There are several OLY platforms (7 I think in total?), and I personally appreciate that because even though I don't use them too often, there are enough that you don't need to worry about not being able to get a platform/rack for your session (unless the gym is busy, and you may have to wait a few minutes for someone to wrap up). They have what I consider to be an over abundance of treadmills (because they are the devil), but they also have a ton of stair masters as well and a couple rowers, a couple assault bikes, and several other awesome stuff. I do enjoy this gym, although with any commercial gym, I feel like they play the worst music and it's always super loud (unnecessary complaint lol - I have and wear headphones). Overall: great gym, good price, cool staff, nice equipment. They also have several instructor-led classes if you're into that!

Its just 2 miles from the north end of the AFB and 4 miles from home for me so super convenient. its 24/7 access with key card and staffed by Tommy the owner at least 40 hours a week. Tommy is the man! He has a local native and knows everyone in town! Everyone knows im as well. He is an all round good guy to talk to about anything, training and food most of all! He is one hell of a smart lifting coach as well I admit. This gym is nothing fancy or luxurious. The artwork on the walls is pretty bad ass I would say myself however. It has underwent some recent renovation and upgrades since I joined and its made big improvements to the place for darn sure. Fancy is not what this gym is for, nope! Its for serious trainees and athletes beginner to advanced to get the job done and train for results! Weightlifting, powerlifting, CrossFit, traditional sports, military/fire/police performance etc. You name it, you can do it here. Strongman training gear is also available here which I like myself. Tommy goes out of his way to scour and find unique machines and units that are useful and purposeful for his members, not just trendy and sexy to place on the gym floor. It must have a purpose for his members to get results to even consider it, I love this about the gym. Be it new and 1 of a kind or 30 years old school design belt squat, Tommy gets the good stuff here. He also has a pretty sweet nutrition/dietary supplement section of the store to sell products specific to clients needs at fair prices. He has samples of most everything for someone to try before they buy which I appreciate as well. He also has bad ass shirts, shakers, and gym bags for members and team members of the official powerlifting team this gym has. The only small catch here might be the lack of showers onsite which were never part of the building so its hard to just install them if no such plumbing is available to do so I am sure. Beyond that, this gym is legit and gets my approval as one of the best gyms in town for sure. Plus he offers military membership rates as well, score!

I joined 2 weeks after moving to Texas in need…read moreof a nearby gym that had flexible hours, good equipment for powerliftng and functional training most of all. I could see on first visit this gym had that in spades. I met Juan and Amanda the two co-owners and meshed with them instantly. They got me, my needs, my wants, my own background in powerlifting and strength and conditioning. This landed deeply for me to be understood and listened too, not pushed, pressed and sold to for a membership only. The gym is not huge, does not have any true machines, its not super flashy, its not luxurious....and I like that! This is a performance training gym for serious people beginner to advanced athlete alike. The owners, the trainer, and the equipment are there for a reason...to get people results fast and safe. Free weights and a few select plate-loaded items and cable-based items can be found here which has been the bread and butter of any good fitness training plan for eons. They also have platforms, squat racks, rigs, sandbags, bands, sleds, kettlebells, alternative bars, and more. All the essential items you need for any sport or fitness goal that demands being strong, powerful, and fit! They now have an adjacent room decked out with some cardio items like 2 echo bike ergometers, a rower, and stairmaster. They also have jump ropes and kettlebells in this space as well for one wicked good circuit of cardio for those who may need/want that also. As a 15-year strength coach myself and powerlifter of 8 years now, I can say 100% that Juan and Amanda know their stuff inside and out and practice what they preach. They do not waver with trends and fads, they do not do cookie-cutter plans, they do not cut corners period. They use evidence-based principles and build plans around people's unique needs and behaviors. Their clients and members are proof that what they do works over and over again. Their rates are amazing and even better for military members and first responders. Something is available for everyone here I assure you. Go in and take a look, they place, the people, the hours, the rates, sell themselves if you ask me. The one and only small catch with this gym is the lack of showers onsite. Its a converted gas station/car repair shop so I doubt such things were ever installed or available to begin with. Not much one can do about that.

I did go after 5pm to be able to take a tour of the place. They offer afterschool child care services until 6pm. They do charge for late pickup fee and a one time enrollment fee and supply fee (if the parents don't buy the supplies). There is also a matt fee for the little ones that take naps. Ypu need to provide diapers and wipes for a smaller child. A carseat is also requested for the ones that need to be picked up from school that still require carseats. My child is turning 2 at the end of the year and when asked about potty training, they said they don't force it on the child, only when he or she is ready to go on their own. My little one immediately familiarized herself with her surroundings. Her first week attending was great! So much so that she didn't want to come home. She has a blast every time she goes. She has had a few incidents like running into things or falling but they do treat her accordingly. They do have an incident report filled out and the parent has to sign it. She is a toddler, so falling and such are normal for her. She doesn't pay attention where she goes at times and that happens. But all in all, I can say I feel at ease leaving my child in this daycare while I am at work. The cost is pretty standard and regulations also for a daycare here in San Angelo. The only thing i don't like is the parking lot. Because of the construction that's going on in the area, it can be a hassle to get to the daycare. Oh and pick up and drop off is always done right outside the daycare and sign in as well due to covid. When it rains they do put out a tent out.
