This is worth it for the views of the bay and there is a creek on the right side for part of the way which has some birds, maybe a few pelicans. Many benches are on the path to sit and look out.

We ended up parking at a community center, walking through a strip of land surrounded by water and residential homes and ending up in Target, which was a great halfway point since I needed to use the bathroom. The walk itself along the water was beautiful and you can see the Richmond Bridge from a distance. There were several people walking, biking, hanging out along the trail which speaks to its popularity. The trail goes further than Target but we ended up turning back because our bellies were growling. We got some grub downtown- highly recommend the sandwiches and salads at Magnolia Park Kitchen!

Look for Lower Hawthorne Lane between Beach and Bella Vista Streets on the North side of Belvedere Island. The park and the walking path stretches from Main Street Tiburon to Elephant Rock. The Railroad & Ferry Depot museum is halfway between. The walking path is all cement; smooth and flat. There are no public restrooms along path. The museum has limited hours and admission is $5. But it is a worthwhile stop since they have historical information boards outside the building. The board details the rich history of the building and area. There is no parking along the park. The closest parking is the day use parking lot off Paradise Drive opposite Main Street.

There is a small museum here also, but it closes early. It's also a good place to walk off the dinner from some of the nearby restaurants. Similar to Granada Park in Corte Madera, the John F Mcinnis Park courts feel like a tennis speakeasy. First rule of this tennis club - "you don't talk about this tennis club." The blessing and the curse of these courts is that they're kind of hard to find and get to (especially now, during this Coronavirus lockdown). But once you walk up the steep hill and get there, you'll be rewarded with four beautiful, well-maintained courts. There's no charge to play, nor proof of residence or membership. It's a total tennis lover's oasis! Not sure what's it like in the non-Coronavirus age, but players have to adhere to public court rules (no more than 2 sets or an hour's worth of play if others are waiting to hop on). All in all, this park was a major find! Beautiful, hidden location... but not too far away. Game on!

There's a small parking lot near the entrance and a few paths that lead you right into the park. The shaded trails make it a pleasant stroll and it was surprisingly uncrowded even on a weekend, which made for a very relaxed visit. The area is clean and has a calm, natural beauty. Definitely a lowkey scenic spot worth checking out. Just a heads-up: some of the trails aren't very well maintained and a few of the small cross bridges have been removed, so watch your step. Still, it's a lovely place to unwind and enjoy some nature away from the crowds.

Come early or prepared yourself to wait for someone to finish the hike which is about 20 minutes maybe 45 if you have a dog that wants to sniff everything along the way. Lol there's only about 20 parking spaces and the next area you can park in is a good mile away! Lol , unless you want a longer walk, be prepared to wait and politely turn off your car so you are not admitting aerosol into the park. There's actually a sign that says this which I've actually never thought of but I think it's cute and very quaint of them to add that particular sign. There are two trails you can go on a road road, our dog started off on the high road probably because horses can go on that road and my puppies liked the smell! Lol we ventured out towards the lake. My dogs got tired and we had to loop back. So sadly, we didn't get out to the lake this particular time, but we have to go earlier in the morning next time. There's also bathrooms that are regular bathrooms as well as a couple of benches in a waiting area along the way perhaps it's like a little cabin outdoor area picnic benches, but it looks like the park is used for something with a bigger group of people. We started our walk around 2 PM and this was our 6 mile walk for the day so I'm pretty sure they were tired. Since we have working dogs, they like to walk a lot but sometimes they get lazy. I was also very impressed with all the foliage coverage and the fact it was 2 o'clock in the afternoon and we weren't getting sunburned!! so I was very excited for that especially since our huskies have their own winter coats! Lol we will definitely come back here again to check out Phoenix lake and walk all the way out but probably first thing in the morning so we can get all the way there and back!

Beautiful grounds, fab food, well maintained docks - what's not to like?…read more We used to rent a boat slip at Loch Lomond, but hubby figured out it was much more cost effective to purchase a leasehold interest in a slip at MYC, even with the membership initiation and monthly dues. So when we upgraded to a bigger boat, it was relatively easy to sell our old slip and move to a larger one. An even better bonus was finding out that this marina is better protected from the wind. We love going to our boat now and just hanging out at the dock for lovely sunsets and cocktails! They also have a pool and 3 tennis courts.

In addition to the Marina there is a pool, 3 tennis courts also lined to pickle ball and a world class chef providing excellent dinners on the weekends. And added amenity is the super friendly members. The restaurant/clubhouse has been redecorated and is a wonderful place for parties. Plus it's just a great place to hang out. The bar has a epic view of the Bay and canal. The bartender Laurel is a real mixologist. It has become our home away from home. We are so glad we joined. Love it here!

Quick guide below. One thing I really love is that it has separate little kid and big kid play areas. Sometimes parks with toddler sections accidentally make the older-kid area feel boring... but not here. The bigger playground is still genuinely fun and adventurous for older kids too. The toddler playground is designed for ages 1-5, while the larger play structure is designed for kids ages 5-12, which makes this a really good option for siblings with different age ranges. There's also a shallow creek behind the park that families bring their kids to explore. It's only a couple inches deep in some areas, so children can safely splash around and play in the water while parents supervise nearby. That little creek honestly feels like part of the magic of this place.
