Terrible business. Terrible service. Owner is now lying publicly on yelp following my generously fair review. My home is 1700 square feet, very clean and fully remodeled, and the maids work totaled 2.5 hours. He claims the clean cost him $1000 -- that is an astronomical amount for a clean of that size. Claiming that he tried to run the card is complete nonsense. We have only one card, with very high limits on our card and don't carry a monthly balance, so there wouldn't ever be a decline. My husband never called him with another card number -- that is also a lie. I am filing a BBB claim now to help protect consumers from this type of bad business practice. I love Jaime and his crew. They were prompt in their response, came right on time and on the weekend before Christmas and performed magic. We were moving into a new home where the house was left in such an abhorrent condition that raised the very real and serious question of whether a bio-hazard cleaning company should come in. Jaime and his crew worked hard from morning to evening to get the house in a condition that is now sanitary and safe to reside in. The crew used all organic cleaning materials, and afterwards the house not only looked clean but smelled fresh with no hint of the strong chemicals some cleaning companies use. At one moment, I noticed beads of sweat on Jaime's forehead. They really worked hard. This initial job was pretty intensive and required extreme deep cleaning, which was not cheap but worth every dime. You get your money's worth. I'm clearly in the minority here, but I was disappointed with my experience. Jaime quoted me $480 for a move out/move in clean, but when he showed up in person he wanted $800 for the job, which had not changed significantly from what we had previously discussed--easier in some respects. When I balked, instead of honoring the quote, he offered a price of $600. The cleaners (4) were done in a little over 2 hours. But there was dust on the blinds, fingerprints in the fridge, and two empty disposable food containers on the kitchen counter. And they accidentally discarded my paper towels! For such a high price, I expected better. had this been a better experience, I had planned to set up regular service, but I think now I'll look elsewhere. * UPDATE -- 4/25 * Since I posted this note, the OCM team went a long way to correct the situation. Jaime honored his original price and the crew came back for two additional hours of cleaning. They did a very thorough job this time and left the place sparkling. This is the best cleaning company I've ever worked with. They're a little pricier than other companies but after I worked with them I realized they are worth every penny and more. First of all, they responded extremely fast to my initial call, and set up a time to give an estimate the following day. (Very different from several other companies I called.) They show up every week at the time they say they will, and they do a very thorough job. My place is spotless when they're done, with no lingering chemical and perfume fragrances that I find unpleasant and even offensive. I hired them to also do a move-out cleaning, and the place looks as good as it did when I first moved in (and it was a brand-new apartment; I was the first to live in it). Absolutely amazing! I am really happy with my cleaning today. Loved how there is no "chemical smell" after the work was done and also really felt comfortable with Leticia and Lulu. Some cleaning companies are weird when you are sticking around. I previously had a company that wanted to finish in 45 minutes and rush out and so having the A Home Maintenance team today was a relief from a previous experience. We had just completed a complete remodel of our home and I wanted someone to come in and do a deep cleaning of everything, everywhere. When it comes to housecleaners, I'm like Wrangler: I'm one tough customer and I know what I like when I see it. I like A Home Maintenance. Actually, no. I love them. I've gone through 3 housecleaners in the past year because they never get the job done up to my standards--and I mean, no where near. One didn't wash the floor well enough, one would only dry dust surfaces. And on and on. So I trusted my fellow Yelpers and tried Jaime. HOLY COW. He blew me away. Literally. Ha! Only kidding. I love when people misuse "literally". But I digress. The cleaning that Jaime and Hania gave my house is unparalleled--better than even I, the uptight, Virgo, former Montessori student, have ever done. I've been wandering around for 2 days now trying to find something they missed during their 3 hours in my house and I can't find a damn thing. Instead, I'm finding things they did get that I can't believe. For example, they washed the back of the bathroom door. All of the food stains that my 3-year old got on there--gone! Baseboards: done. Kitchen cabinet doors: done. Under and over everything: DONE! Books taken out of shelves and dusted: DONE! Lampshades and insides of lamps: DONE! Nightstands and beds moved and vacuumed behind: DONE! Floor rugs moved and vacuumed under: DONE! I feel like I've died and gone to neat-freak Heaven but then I realize I'm just home. There is a downside to AHM. They are expensive. Really expensive. As in 2 1/2 times more expensive than I was paying. But this is truly a testament to getting what you pay for. These cleaning wizards deserve 5 stars for their customer service and efficiency at the often thankless job of cleaning up homes! I had a studio apartment that needed 5 years worth of daily use cleaned out for a new tenant- as in, the oven looked like scorched earth, the grout needed scrubbing, and the bathroom was just grubby. You know, how a twentysomething lives. There was a good job cut out for A Home Maintenance. It seemed like in no time flat, Jaime responded to my quote via Yelp and we scheduled a meeting in person in two days. When he arrived, he was walked through the concerns and cleaning needs, and gave me a fair estimate. I booked his team's services then and there for a Wednesday appointment. What a fantastic job they did! Starting at 9AM and going until 2:15PM, the studio apartment was move-in ready, just like I needed. The use of non-toxic cleaners is a huge plus, as the small studio smelled better than the outdoors. Among other things, the oven looked sparklingly new, the grout shone white, and the bathroom was spotless. His 3-person team (himself included) brought all their equipment in carefully and left no damages. I am still impressed at the hard work accomplished in half a day. The price may seem high, but honestly, pay these professionals for the job they do... that basically you don't want to do yourself. read more

My family needed to move into a bigger home, so it was time to prepare for the landlord walk-through. Not a fun idea. With two little kids, it's not so easy to spend a few days completely concentrated on detailing a home, so it was the first time we decided to hire help. I checked Yelp and sent a few emails to the highest-rated companies. Jaime wasn't the first to get back to me, but when he did, he came straight over for an estimate. He looked over the house and gave me a quote that I felt was high, but when you consider the quality that the best costs, I decided to go with it. I let him know that I was flexible with the date, and he took advantage of that by requesting to reschedule the cleaning a couple of times (from Tuesday a.m. to Monday p.m. to Monday a.m.). That was fine with me. The sooner the better. When I mentioned another issue with the home, he came right over (on a Sunday afternoon) to examine it at no cost. He and two assistants arrived on time at 7:30 a.m. sharp with great attitudes. They immediately went to work and catered to my every request with enthusiasm. Jaime had to leave a few times to a) provide an estimate for a new home, b) get lunch, and c) go get a buffer for our wood floors, but he busted his rear while he was here. He was about to leave for a different job at 11:00 a.m. (packed up and everything) when he found out that that job had canceled. So they came back in, had a quick lunch, and resumed work. His 4-hour estimate quickly turned into 7 hours of work. At that point, I pointed out how the floors had some scratches. He volunteered to drive back to his office to get a buffer that could get out some of the scratches. He came back 45 minutes later and went to work. At the end of the day, the 4-hour estimate ended up taking over 8 hours. I gave him a nice bonus. What I really liked about working with Jaime is that he is genuinely excited about his work and communicates that with a passion. He knows how to clean and made the house look almost brand new. That edge of dust along the baseboards that never seems to get vacuumed up, the confident feeling that comes with knowing the tops of mirrors, pictures, blinds, were fully cleaned not only felt good with no smell, but raised my "happy" factor by many points. Their cleaning was extremely thorough. They were on time and very friendly from the start. They feel like a small family-owned business which is immediately more desirable than a large company with numerous employees. The only issue we had was cleared up in equally agreeable fashion. When they put our oven door back together after the cleaning, the little part that turns the oven light off when closed was (re)installed on the wrong side. But think about that: they were so thorough with their cleaning that they got into the bits and pieces of the oven door! It was a bit of a mystery for a while, why the oven light wouldn't turn off. But Jaime was very helpful, coming back out, inspecting the door, and even sending one of his friends an appliance repair guy out to take a look, at no charge. I plan on using them again. read more

We had construction performed at our house over an eight day period. Although the crew did a great job in trying to seal off areas, there is always that fine, sawdust that penetrates everything. We have a regular cleaning service who is quite good, but A Home Maintenance takes cleaning to another level. They are very expensive relative to other services, but you don't have to suggest what has to be done - they just know how to deep clean thoroughly. All of the books were taken out of the bookcases, dusted and placed back. The refrigerator was emptied and cleaned. The ceilings and walls were dusted or vacuumed. We have delicate wallpaper that requires vacuuming. They were on-time, professional, pleasant to be around and THOROUGH. They should get 5+ stars. read more
