Dr. Cloutier and his fabulous dental assistant Allison are a well oiled machine. They took care of my problem promptly with minimal pain and did a great job. Took my daughter to this office thinking she was about to get dental work completed. Instead, got a "consultation" and told she would refer her to another dentistry practice. I was charged $250 for the "consultation". I feel like this should of been charged as an office visit. When I spoke to the lady on the phone, I was led to believe that the entire procedure was going to be just $250 - not just a consultation. We were referred here from another dentist. We already knew what the problem was and thought this was going to be the fixing of the problem, instead we got this "consultation" to tell us what the problem is again. So my most basic question of this... WHY? We already knew what the problem was. They took X-Rays. There were X-Rays taken at the previous office. Why did the referring office not send those x-rays to this office? This entire thing could of been told over a phone call instead of me pulling my daughter early from school, driving over 30 mins to get to the office, waiting over 45 mins past our appointment time and taking over an hour to get home (rush hour traffic). People beware. ask as many questions about your referral to this office before you go. read more

Dr. Sun treated me last year while she was doing advanced endodontics training at the UT Dental School; SHE IS AMAZING. Without question the favorite dentist of any kind I've ever had. Her "bedside" demeanor is competent and gentle (I'm a nervous wreck) and she even clued in to leaving the weighted x-ray guard on me through my treatment--I'm on the spectrum, and I didn't have to explain any of this, she just intuited/sensed it. What a difference this and other small details made!! The tooth was a re-treat, meaning it hadn't been done properly the first time (by a different doctor); Dr. Sun warned me that because of the tissue damage, surgery might be required within a year, which I acknowledged. Just got my follow-up call from her (personally!! not an office assistant!), and I'm happy to report that her work totally solved my problem and the tooth is well. Yay!! I have much anxiety about dental procedures. When i called to make an appointment, i was very clear about my anxiety and wanted to know if this was a good fit. I was assured it was, so we made an appointment. I received some papers to fill out along with some inquiries about dental anxiety, i ranked mine high off the charts. When i arrived i had 2 different sets of xrays for the problem tooth and then was in to see the dentist. He was cold and direct. He asked me if i was allergic to anything and i said dentist. Not a very original joke but i was nervous, he didn't even crack a smile. He then proceeded to grab instruments to use without any warning about what he was doing, so i asked questions. I got 1 to 2 word answers, i was having pain with the examination, which only seemed to annoy him. He then pointed to the xray that had been up since i came in and begin to explain why i was not a candidate for the root canal. He began with ," good news is you cant have a root canal so I don't have to have you as a patient ". He showed me the problem with my root area, pointed out something interesting to the 2nd person in the room( not me). Then said you will need an extraction and implants. I said oh no, and he held up his hand , as if to stop me from finishing my sentence and said," not going to be my problem so don't care, whatever." He had my paper work, he knew i was nervous, they could not get a blood pressure reading and yet this was how he treated me. Needless to say, I won't be back and couldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

I have nothing but nice and amazing things to say about this place! The receptionists were warm and welcoming, the service was incredibly fast! I didn't have to wait very long to be called to the back! The dental tech, Vanessa & the Endontist, Dr. Sun are a dynamic duo and I truly had a great experience with them! They made what for me is a terrifying experience of a root canal seem pleasant and calming. They listened to my worries, my issues with past experiences and ensured I was ok thorough the entire procedure. Dr. Sun is so warming, patient and she is very thorough! She wasn't sure if my tooth was fractured and didn't want to chance me having to get it extracted/and an implant so she opted for exploratory treatment. She found that my tooth wasn't fractured and retreated the area which healed! I'm so grateful for her and Vanessa! Vanessa was truly a godsend! She's professional but had great bedside manners. She was still doing her job but still talked to you like a person and walked you through everything. I was truly amazed at how the two worked together. Vanessa knew every instrument Dr. Sun needed before she would even ask her for it. They worked together like a well oiled machine. Dr. Sun seems like the kind of doctor that wouldn't berate her tech if they made a mistake but allow them to learn from it! I would highly recommend these two to perform your next procedure! I can't say I'm not terrified of dentists, due to a traumatic event as a young adult. For over 8 years, I have avoided them like the plague. I finally decided to get a routine checkup that turned into a root canal gone wrong with the worst continuous pain I have ever experienced. The staff was okay and more responsive than the practitioners overall. Following a $150 consultation fee (that I had to pay up front which I thought was tacky), I had to pay an additional $150 for a CT scan to get a more clear prognosis. I was told by the practitioner that he would call me to no avail. I had to call and follow up on my report. I'd pass on this establishment based on the service and customer experience. read more

The staff was friendly and the doctor seemed nice. I was more disappointed on how the insurance works here and price checking. I paid out of pocket $115 for the visit and then the doctor recommended this 3d scan which was another $150. I was told to pay out of pocket then they would send the bill to my insurance and whatever the insurance paid would be used for my procedure. I was charged $265 and was told 2 weeks later after I called that my insurance only covered $51 and no one sent it to my secondary insurance. Then quoted for the 2 root canals retreated was $2600 and my insurance would pay half and was expected to pay $1300 out of pocket. I don't know about you but I don't have that kind of money. I was kind of devastated they didn't check with my insurance first to see if they would even cover the scan before offering it to me or I would have never gotten it. I decided to go to another clinic for the same problem my exam was $90 out of pocket and was quoted $825 for the procedure and I would only have to pay $200 out of pocket. They even called my insurance first and made sure they covered the procedure I wanted. I am really glad I waited even though my mouth was in pain. read more
