The stench is unbearable in the elevators and at times fearing for my safety. My hopes is that there is a service contract from the city to clean weekly if not twice a week. I enjoyed the music and art floors. Card catalogs still in use and you can check out a vinyl record. In the 4th floor, you can use a sewing machine or a three D printer. Fascinating. Here is also a place you can bring used books or clothes to deposit. The roof top is pretty with a rare collection section and a museum. You will also find a small high school on two floors. Worth a visit. The views are amazing from every level.

The first floor boasts arch windows while the second is crowded with circular ones. This library, with content from porcelain to jazz, is a beautiful harmony of knowledge. Sitting in this room, I wanted nothing more than to be locked in its walls for days with my head in the books. At the front of the room was a table of water and coffee dispensers with a variety of creamers and milks. As a student, I could see myself lost in my studies here, spending hours as the time passes.

The staff here was also quite standoffish. When I went up to the desks to ask a question, they barely looked up from their screens and gave me one-word answers. :(

There's plenty of parking right out front. The interior is beautiful with lots of arches and nature themed touches. Compared to other libraries I've been to, it's on the smaller side and is a bit limited when it comes to seating (especially spots with outlets!). My favorite place to retreat to is their balcony seating! They have large community tables that are segmented with dividers and outlets. You also get a pretty view of the hills!

The library is located next to Costco and IKEA, so it's part of a well-known plaza with plenty of open parking spots. My boyfriend and I visited on a Saturday afternoon, and they already had books set outside for people to take, most were around a dollar or so, which is incredibly affordable. When we walked in, we didn't have library cards yet, but the staff made the process super easy. They let us sit at the computers and register right there, and I was able to get my library card within minutes. Just make sure to bring your ID, and if you're out of state, be prepared to confirm your residency. I ended up checking out one of the Colleen Hoover books she's one of my favorite authors and they had a great selection available, which was really nice to see. Overall, the library is definitely on the smaller side, but I absolutely loved the architecture at the top of the building. It's so adorable and charming. There are plenty of computers and lots of space to get work done, plus an upstairs area for additional seating. You can access the upstairs either through the inside or via the outdoor patio. Overall, I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're looking for a library book or just want a quiet, cozy spot to get some work done.

Turns out, the "Geisel" part of the "Geisel Library" is actually Dr. Seuss Geisel! Which is why they have a multi-level Dr. Seuss exhibit. Library has a great view of the Quad. A friend of mine likes this library and I also like it for several reasons and some reasons not so much... There's parking that offers limited parking time but it is available. There's a security guard who patrols the facility and area for safety. The library is smallish but offers most services: a librarian, staff and the front desk for help, computer and printer access, a children's section and ample seating indoor and outdoor. From the many times I've visited, it was clean and everything was organized. The people visiting this library were courteous and kept quiet. One day during my visit a person in a military uniform had a heated exchange with the staffers at the front desk over the issue of why there was not a single American flag inside or outside this library but several pride flags. The staff of who appear to be LGBTQ mostly had no answer. The uniformed gentleman said he is a USA veteran and left angrily. In this situation, politics aside, I agree with the uniform wearing man, and this library, should have an American flag visible and display it with pride along with the pride flags to show inclusivity, which is what matters. I like this library but the staff should seriously consider having an American flag to show some pride for our country and not just one group.
