San Clemente is known as the darling, relaxing, sparkling blue water beach town in between Los Angeles and San Diego on the Southern California map and is my personal requirement to visit whenever going between the two cities. Mauna Loa is the heritage macadamia brand from Hawai'i, and it was an honor for us to work with Aaron to give back to the community that we are both a part of. Aaron is from Hilo, and worked with the local schools that he went to- Kamehameha Schools in creating the mural. We threw a Mauna Loa x Aaron Kai community event that was extremely well received, and our staff have commented on how the mural has lifted morale at the plant, as it is such a beautiful piece that everyone sees on their way to work.
