Dale is definitely worth the 5 stars. Our initial officiant became seriously ill with the flu 48 hours before the wedding and was unable to attend the wedding. Dale, who was already our DJ and MC, was very gracious and stepped in to officiate the wedding last minute. Dale is absolutely the best. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I hired him to be the DJ and acoustic guitarist for my wedding in October 2016 at the La Jolla Cove Bridge Club. He was fast to respond to my initial inquiries about his availability and all my subsequent questions in the six months I planned our wedding. I loved that he even followed up with me a couple months before our wedding to ask how the planning was going-- it was a sweet reminder that he was committed to our wedding. I sent him our requested songs in the week leading up to the wedding, and he took it from there! He showed up two hours before the wedding was set to start in order to get set up, and he even offered to help in whatever other way we needed in that moment. Dale played acoustic guitar during the processional and recessional of our ceremony, and I was so thankful to use his microphone during the ceremony so that our friends and family could hear our custom vows. He also DJ'd music during the cocktail hour and reception and emceed all the introductions, toasts, and dances that evening. To top it off, and what should earn him 10 stars, he captured video while doing all this other work. He set up a small camera and captured our ceremony, grand entrance in the reception, and toasts by our family and wedding party then shared the video with me on Facebook.
