The woman taking orders and serving patrons was beyond kind. She offered to set food on a separate table away from our baby to allow the baby to avoid reaching for it, and after having our food boxed, she came back on her own and bagged up our left overs which was extremely helpful and appreciated. The food was great, especially the pizza, which we ordered with pepperoni and bacon. Pizza is my husband's favorite food and upon leaving, he said he would return if we lived locally, which is a huge compliment. The lasagna came with garlic bread rolls. The cheesy bread had a great pull and flavor. The only improvement would be the water from the soda machine and that the bottled drinks were flat, but that would not deter from ordering here again. read more

San Remos has hands down the best pizza in Ada. It's a very casual place lacking ambiance but the food is good. You order at the counter but every time we eat here, the service is better than at many full service restaurants. Tonight we ordered the Greek salad with house dressing, a veggie pizza, and a prime rib sandwich. The food was good but I was miffed when after spending 68 dollars and leaving a seven dollar tip we were charged one dollar when my fiancée didn't like their house dressing. Nice, very casual seating, and a lot of take out orders being picked up and "grub-hubbed". We observed how well run and organized the flow. Very clean, fresh quality ingredients, plentiful servings, well prepared, and nicely presented. You get your money's worth, and that is refreshing in itself, for these times. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. The food was surprisingly very tasty. We kind of assumed it would be more like a lot of the quickie fast food pizza places, but this establishment rocked our worlds. I consider myself a pizza connoisseur. My husband swears that my homemade pizza is better than that made by any restaurant; though I appreciate his sincere, sweet compliment, I beg to differ. :-) I have my favorites in my hometown of Muskegon, MI and I love trying local pizza joints when I travel. Though Ada is my second home, my home away from home (my husband is originally from Ada and my in-laws still live here), I hadn't tried San Remos before today. I can honestly say, I'm glad we tried it. My mom-in-law got the grilled chicken sandwich. It was HUGE! She said it had strips of grilled chicken, rather than a whole breast. It was on chibatta (sp) bread with lettuce, tomato, onion, and (I believe) mayo. She had it cut in half and she couldn't even finish one half (though, to be fair, she is a pretty light eater). My husband and I each ordered a medium pizza because we like different toppings. Yes, we could've gotten only one pizza, half of it topped the way he likes it and the other half the way I like it, and one would have been more than enough for a single meal, but we wanted leftovers for a second meal. His had pepperoni, ground beef and easy on the sauce; mine had pepperoni, extra cheese and easy on the sauce. The cheese bread was similar to a calzone. It was pizza dough filled with cheese and (I THINK) basted lightly with garlic butter (or something similar), with pizza sauce on the side. It definitely had a good amount of cheese inside, however, truth be told, it was a bit dry. If I were to order it again (which is a quite possible), I would request that more garlic butter be used on the outside. Did I LOVE the pizza? No, not particularly. Would I go there again, or recommend it to others? Yes, definitely. The only reason I didn't love it is purely due to personal preferences, certainly NOT due to poor quality. For my tastes, the sauce was a bit bland, as was the crust, which didn't have that homemade bread flavor that I love. Everything we had was well made, with quality ingredients. The restaurant was impeccably clean (though, I didn't see the restroom). The staff were friendly and professional, particularly, the female cashier (whose name I, unfortunately, do not recall). Finally, the cost. All of the above items, including three 20 oz. sodas and tip, came to ONLY $26 and change! I was pleasantly surprised that we got so much for such a reasonable price. I look forward to trying some of the other items they serve, especially the baked pasta dishes. My husband and mother-in-law agree, San Remos is definitely worth returning to. read more

After getting take out yesterday at "Rib Crib" down the street from here (that was a disaster, see my review of them) I really didn't have a high expectation for take out here. WOW! Was I surprised! The spaghetti was good, the manicotti was superb. The customer service was better than most of the places I've been to here in Ada (Little Caesar's and Rib Crib seem to be competing for the worst customer service awards?) Being an out of towner places tend to not tell you about side items you might otherwise expect. After I ordered my two entree's she informed me it would be about ten minutes. She then brought it to my attention that I was entitled to two salads as well and pointed out the "to go" trays at the salad bar. The restaurant was clean, the staff were above average courteous, they even had a nice selection of deserts available. As if that weren't enough to make me want to come back, the entree portion sizes were large enough to make a meal. I don't usually recommend places but definitely recommend this place. Although I didn't get pizza this time I'll definitely be back to try the pizza too, it looked fabulous. If I had to critique something negative to say about this place I would have to say it was the lack of salt and pepper with my to go order. But in all fairness there was salt and pepper available, I just neglected to add it to my salads or pasta. I am actually hard pressed to find anything negative to say and after four months of eating out here in Ada that is saying quite a bit. I'd give them five stars but let's face it, no one is perfect. read more

On a job interview, I was left to my own devices and wondered in. I didn't really know what to expect but hey, the reviews looked good. I ordered a medium pork, mushroom, and bacon pizza to go. Now, I am not usually a fan of New York style pizza but this was very good. You can order either by the slice or a pizza of your own. The pizza was in no way greasy and there was plenty left over for my breakfast the next morning, score. I went back my last night in town to get something to have for breakfast the next morning. A meatball sub, the price was right and I do love a meatball sub. I went back to my hotel and thought I would have a bite or two before putting it in my refrigerator. Well, I ended up eating over half of the sub, it was that good! In fact, I believe it was the finest meatball sub I have ever had. I haven't heard back about the job yet, but I hope I get it, if for no other reason I want to visit again and try out some more of the menus options! read more

It wasn't the best but not the worst. I got the Italian sampler. The lasagna wasn't your typical lasagna. It had maybe two layers and it was just cheese and marinara. The Alfredo wasn't awful I'd give it a 5 out of 1-10. Chicken parm was about a 5 out of 1-10. The fountain drinks were off, it tasted like they were all mixed together a little bit. This is an old Quiznos that has not been remodeled. If you can get past the lack of effort on decir, the pizza's not terrible. Its not great either. The salad bar barely qualifies for the designation. I would not recommend this if you have any other options. The only reason for the second star is that you get a lot of food for your dime. read more

The owners have created one of the best pizza joints in the Ada area, serving pizzas, slices, other Italian specialties and even yummy gyros! The salad bar is small but well tended.
