It was a very painful ordeal for both of us twice a year.... then the dreaded day of his first cavity came... not one but multiple. I felt like a horrible parent I was devastated and stressed. I was so thankful when I came across Erin Oaks and Dr.Regina. she was kind and patient with me. She helped lay my mom guilt to bed while explaining to me and my son how we were going to get him fixed up and on the right track. From the minute we arrived, the office is calm and soothing, everyone I encountered was polite and informative. Office is kept spotless. Dr.Regina was able to fill my son's cavities 100% pain free. The equipment used was perfect and comfortable for my son. My son left feeling so great and he actually asked if Dr.Regina could be his new dentist from now on. Dr.Regina has a wonderful way of explaining things to kids that makes them feel at ease in her care. As a parent I appreciated her honesty and thorough explanations. At the time, "open care" was heavily advertising to get free $ for booking appointments through them. Who doesn't want a gift card to Sephora in exchange for making sure your teeth are in good shape? I found Dr. Lackman & Chagger Dental on the app and booked the appointment. Since then I have only had positive and honest experiences here. The dental hygienists are some of the most lovely people I have met, and despite having a suction tube in my mouth 90% of the visit, we have great authentic conversations. When I needed a decently invasive filling, Dr. Lackman was incredibly transparent in the process, price, and goals. This past weekend I did something I never do and forgot about an appointment (even though I was reminded twice by text / email AND had it in my calendar *face palm*). The office closes at 1pm on Saturdays, but the hygienist decided to stay late to accommodate my lack of planning. i was so thankful they were able to do this for me! The appointments are always quick and efficient and this one was no exception. The receptionist is a very kind woman who is organized and ensures COVID measures are in place. This includes plexi barriers at the desk, filling out an intake form, taking your temperature, and ensuring masks are worn. I feel like the staff value their customers differently. The receptionist's, hygienists, and Dr. Kaplansky himself give varying treatment levels in terms of service to customers. I found my cleaning to be rushed. I mean 35-45 minutes in and out rushed. My hygienist was not the most personable either. I tried to make small talk, and help ease my anxiety of the dentist but she did not make me feel any more comfortable. Dr. Kaplansky is a busy man, totally understandable. But as a patient, I feel like I should be paying for his presence, instead of him popping in and out to say hi for 1-2minutes during a 1 hour appointment. Although there are two receptionist's working behind the counter, I always find there to be a wait. They fail to even make eye contact with you. Half of the time, they are on the phone with someone, or starting at their computer screen. I understand you are busy, but make your patients feel welcomed, and valued, or else your banner of #1 Dentistry in Mississauga is completely irrelevant, misleading, and un-deserved.

Although I was not a patient of Dr. Kaplansky's, he drove out to meet me at his dental office on the Sunday afternoon just after my accident to deal with my crisis. Dr. Kaplansky was extremely compassionate and caring, and kept me calm throughout this traumatic experience. He was patient with me and reassured me everything would be ok. As a result of my accident, I required both a root canal and crown for my front tooth. Dr. Kaplansky was very professional and did an incredible job on the procedure. Thanks to the precision of his work, I left the office with my smile back, good as new :). I can't thank Dr. Kaplansky enough for the work he did, and I would absolutely recommend him as a dentist.

This was not quoted to me when I asked for the cost of the treatment and no one mentioned anything when I booked the next appointment. I paid the money and that will be the VERY last time. They do offer good services, I'll give them that, but most dentists do. Stay away from this place if you can. They are phony!

For the first time in my life, I'm excited to go back and get more work done.
