Uber eats did it again it struck gold. What a great resto first time hearing about it and we really enjoyed it. Food came pretty quickly a little cold but it's Saturday night I get it. Butter chicken was really good, a little kick to it but not to spicy. The chicken was shredded which was cool I've only had cubes before. Will for sure be ordering with them again.

Ordered in the Beef thali for dinner through Uber Eats. It included 1 meat option, 1 vegetarian, rice, salad and nan. I chose the Beef Nihari & Chanay for approx $12. It arrived promptly, however was packaged poorly. The Nihari is meant to be eaten with Nan, however it had slid over to the rice and there was barely any left in its compartment for me to eat. The taste was average. It was good enough to curb the cravings for the night and alright for the cost of the meal. However I would not be ordering from here again, when there are many great establishments serving better quality food for the same price.

Rice, garlic nan, ginger chicken, and butter chicken.

5 minute walk from Le Crystal Hôtel, bursting with flavor, and put a big smile on my face. If you desire Indian food, you absolutely cannot go wrong. We had the butter chicken with dark meat. Never had it like that before, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I didn't think the chicken could be that tender and juicy. The ginger chicken was made with chicken breast, wonderful ginger accentuated flavor with a slight heat to the dish. Perfectly cooked chicken. These dishes are made for sharing and if your not starving, you could share 1 dish between 2 people. You have to separately order rice or nan. We got 1 order of the rice and 2 orders of the garlic nan. I wish I didn't order rice and just doubled up on the garlic nan. If you like garlic, you will love the garlic nan. They don't hold back with the minced garlic. It is a real hole in the wall, which is where I usually find the best food. Not really that busy, but is was a Sunday night. We were there maybe an hour at the most and noticed the Uber Eats drivers were coming in every couple of minutes for pickup. So have it delivered or eat in-house, you will not be disappointed.

Yummy mixed grill -- petite size. I could finish it.

This unassuming restaurant on Crescent street is a true gem. I have walked by the restaurant all the time and one late night (9:00 pm), it's menu on the outside beckoned me. I'm happy that I finally walked into this restaurant. The staff works hard to provide good customer service to everyone. I ordered the petit mixed grill combo and a glass of mango lassie. The grilled chicken, beef and fish were all good. The nun was soft and generous in size. Everything was good.

The food was good, but the wait time was too long- 1 hour. There were some other customers when we arrived, but there was no other customers at all at the end. After thinking about the reasons we were not served, I figured out that their priority was "food delivery" service. I strongly recommend that you check the anticipated time to be served before you order.

This is the first time we've been to Sana. The neighborhood is pretty dispirited. However, the inside is pretty clean and spacious. We had samosa for starter. Mixed grill and lamb karahi as main courses. The dessert was home made Kulfi, traditional Indian ice cream. I like all the dishes. The samosa came with a sauce which is quite flavorful. The grilled dish offered 3 different meats. The karahi is medium spicy to my taste but probably the most spicy dish there. The Indian spices married with flavor of lamb, the curry is so rich and intense flavored. It goes very well with rice and naan. The frozen dairy dessert Kulfi was a surprise. We both enjoyed it. The prices is inexpensive. Main course varies from 9 to 11$. I will come back for sure.

So delighted that Sana opened a second branch - in downtown Montreal itself. Yes it is a little off the beaten-path but hey, still way better than making the trip up to Jarry. The husband and I are big fans of the restaurant. From the many Indian Pakistani restaurants in Montreal, this has to be one of our favourites due to the food being very authentic and of good quality. Despite being a basement restaurant, it is neat and cosy with a nicer décor and ambiance than the original on Jarry. Though it was a busy Friday night when we went, the staff were all very polite and attentive. They seemed to be getting an endless amount of UberEats & JustEat orders - great for those cold winter nights. We have tried most items from the menu but our favourites will always be the Channa Samosa (delicious!) for starters and Nihari, Haleem or Lamb Karahi. Nothing better than a good old spicy curry to warm you up in freezing temperatures and to end it all with a hot cup of chai (Indian tea with spices). Prices are very reasonable and they even offer Student Discount. Highly recommend :)

It doesn't look like much from the outside, so what a surprise! Their lamb thali was very well made, simple and delicious. You get to choose from one of their vegetables dishes: mixes veggies, spinach, chickpeas, etc.

It's towards the top of Old Montreal so we had a nice walk to and from the restaurant. We were greeted by the host and sat down immediately. The restaurant inside was very pretty and had low lighting to make it look very intimate. I'd definitely consider Veranda a fine-dining Indian restaurant. We ordered the samosa tarts and malai chicken tikka from the appetizers and both were absolutely delicious! We also ordered mango lassi, butter chicken, and garlic naan (all automatic orders for us when we go to Indian restaurants) and none of them disappointed. However, we were a little disappointed that they didn't have a few menu items that we see back home or at other Indian restaurants like onion bhaji, pakora, biryani and tandoori chicken. The only complaint we had was the service wasn't that great. Our order was taken a few minutes after viewing the menu and the staff was very friendly but after we finished our appetizers, we felt neglected as other tables were served their food and we were waiting 25-30 minutes to get served our main dish. We had to let the server know that we were done our appetizers and ready for the main dish. I'm not sure if this is normal in Montreal or at Indian restaurants in Montreal? Other restaurants we were served our courses immediately one after the other, with maybe 5-10 minutes in between. It wasn't busy either for a Wednesday night where they only had 3-4 tables. Regardless, we would recommend Veranda to anyone craving Indian food who wants to eat in Old Montreal! The food is delicious!

Montreal's most magical dining experience!…read more If you're looking for a reason to book a trip to Montreal, let me give you one: Tula. My husband and I visited during a recent trip to the city, and without question, it was the best meal we had -- and honestly, one of the most memorable dining experiences of our lives. From the moment you walk through the door, the space wraps you in warmth. The atmosphere is inviting, the decor puts you instantly at ease, and the staff greet you with the kind of genuine kindness that's increasingly rare. But it's Abhi and Renata (apologies if I've misspelled either name!) who truly make this place something extraordinary. These two are the heart and soul of Tula, and their passion for what they do radiates through every single aspect of the experience. We spent a few wonderful hours there, and I mean that -- the time just melted away. Renata sang for the entire restaurant, and her voice was absolutely stunning, a spontaneous and beautiful gift to everyone in the room. Abhi, in the most generous gesture, sat down and hand-wrote a list of vegan restaurant recommendations from around the globe for us to take home. These are people who love what they do and love the people they do it for. And then there's the food. Oh, the food. We started with an Indian taco special that set the tone perfectly, then moved on to the Tofu Achari Masala curry with chapati and the Dal Sambar with steamed rice -- both absolutely spectacular. We finished with a special pistachio cake dessert that was the perfect, dreamy ending to the meal. Every single dish tasted like it was made with genuine love and intention, because it was. This is vegan Indian cuisine at its very finest. I left Tula feeling something I didn't quite expect: greater faith in humanity. That might sound dramatic, but if you go -- and you absolutely must go, as soon as possible -- I think you'll understand exactly what I mean. Don't wait. Just go.
