I feel he also came off demeaning and made me feel stupid and embarrassed. I was not looking for free legal help, I was looking for clarification and if my case was under the scope of his practice. I was not upset that he couldn't take my case. I work in the legal field and understand how the process works. I learned additional information and asked Jason if that was under his scope of practice, and was not looking for additional legal advice or any advice, just asking if he could take on my case. Again, my issue is not that he couldn't take on my case, my issue is that I felt he came off demeaning and how I was treated. I will not be reaching out again for any reason.

I got to pay for my lnew lawyer to research a case that was already research resulting in double dipping. Should have told me they were not able to help me with the specific needs of my case because medical staff issues and the nuances of the medical field is not what they do and then they will keep you to juice you for billable hours. Not at all happy and I feel like they could care less about me. I was just a dollar sign. If you can hire them on contingency or for a set retainer with % of settlement fine but do not pay out of pocket or they will run up those hours.

I realized four years later, because of threats from my ex-husband to stop my alimony unless I agreed to a modification of our settlement which would substantially reduce my payments. At the advice of friends, I sought legal representation. After two vain attempts--one attorney hemmed and hawed and delayed, the other nearly threw me out of his office (perhaps he'd recently had a bad personal experience with divorce??)--I was about to give up when my sister said, "Please try one more time."
