There is a boutique that sells Cd's, jewelry, clothing and other stuff. The vibe is exactly what I look for in a studio, sacred and ascetically pleasing. Juliet, my teacher was awesome. The class started off slowly and gained momentum. She played music while she taught, which I thought only added to the overall effectiveness of the class. Everyone was friendly too, even the front desk girl. I can't tell you how many times I've been put off by a studio when the front desk gives you attitude. When I walked out into the street, into the bright sunlight of Crested Butte, the farmers market was happening, which was so perfect. I love this studio and I love this town. How can we move here?

Their class schedule didn't fit with my trip schedule but one of their instructors, Dana, came to the studio with very little notice and did a private class for me! Everyone was so nice and welcoming and their fees are more than reasonable. If you're in CB and have any interest in yoga, you must go here. I had only taken one yoga class in my life and Dana was so helpful that I came back the next day for another private class and even brought my business partner (who had never done yoga) to a group class the following day. Classes are led by a highly trained yoga instructor and Ayurvedic practitioner whose presence is both grounding and inspiring. It's a great place to practice with intention and consistency. We're fortunate to have access to this kind of instruction locally.

At home I feel very strongly about my heated power yoga--I go 4 or 5 times a week, rain or shine, no matter what. It can be hard to find that when traveling. I first tried CB Power Yoga in 2024, and I went *every day* of our visit in 2025. It's a very welcoming space with easy online signup, multiple classes a day, and affordable rates. They have free mats and props to borrow - super convenient when traveling. It's just very inviting and the classes are challenging but accessible. I really enjoyed it. Minor note - working out in a (small-ish) heated studio at a high altitude is hard. You have to pace yourself. But at the end the chilled damp towel and open window to let in the 30 degree air feels worth it.
