Eventually I went through areas of my apartment I had been avoiding and let go down of things I had been holding on to for years. It was helpful to have her there, reinforcing the spirit of non-attachment and coming up with solutions for organizing the things I did keep. Since Jamie's Move Space Magic - I've found it easier to put things back in their place and keep surfaces clean. My space feels lighter and instead of being a place that at times felt stagnant/ overwhelming, it's becoming my sanctuary!

There is a boutique that sells Cd's, jewelry, clothing and other stuff. The vibe is exactly what I look for in a studio, sacred and ascetically pleasing. Juliet, my teacher was awesome. The class started off slowly and gained momentum. She played music while she taught, which I thought only added to the overall effectiveness of the class. Everyone was friendly too, even the front desk girl. I can't tell you how many times I've been put off by a studio when the front desk gives you attitude. When I walked out into the street, into the bright sunlight of Crested Butte, the farmers market was happening, which was so perfect. I love this studio and I love this town. How can we move here?

Their class schedule didn't fit with my trip schedule but one of their instructors, Dana, came to the studio with very little notice and did a private class for me! Everyone was so nice and welcoming and their fees are more than reasonable. If you're in CB and have any interest in yoga, you must go here. I had only taken one yoga class in my life and Dana was so helpful that I came back the next day for another private class and even brought my business partner (who had never done yoga) to a group class the following day. At home I feel very strongly about my heated power yoga--I go 4 or 5 times a week, rain or shine, no matter what. It can be hard to find that when traveling. I first tried CB Power Yoga in 2024, and I went *every day* of our visit in 2025. It's a very welcoming space with easy online signup, multiple classes a day, and affordable rates. They have free mats and props to borrow - super convenient when traveling. It's just very inviting and the classes are challenging but accessible. I really enjoyed it. Minor note - working out in a (small-ish) heated studio at a high altitude is hard. You have to pace yourself. But at the end the chilled damp towel and open window to let in the 30 degree air feels worth it.

None of these places can hold a candle to Action Adventures Snowmobile in Crested Butte, Colorado. Our guide, Bobby, was the absolute best! He began by introducing himself and asking all of our names. He remembered all of us and called us by name during the adventure; a very personal and professional touch in my opinion. Bobby told us how to use the snowmobiles and we were off down the snowmobile road. We took a variety of detours from the road including a "rollercoaster" ride down a hill, a couple of jaunts through a spruce tree forest, a rest stop at an outdoor camping restroom, and free time in a prairie. Bobby delighted us with stories of the aspen trees and their interconnectedness. We are from Florida, so I asked if we could make snow angels. Bobby found the perfect place for us to create our own snow angels with not much trouble of getting back up! I cannot thank you enough for this thoroughly enjoyable trip of a lifetime. I now have a new happy place!

I was nervous to…read morelearn and retain all of the information from 3 stand alone courses in one week, however with Ben as our captain and instructor it became clear very early on that this would be possible. His knowledge and experience are impressive. I appreciate how patiently he explained things and took us through all of our lessons in a way that is easy to understand, then always showed us how to use those lessons practically. One day during our journey we had high winds and rain. It tested my limits and also my nerves, but Ben remained calm throughout our challenging sail that day and continued to make it a learning experience. Ben's itinerary for the week was perfect. He chose beautiful anchorages for us to spend our evenings, we enjoyed dips in the ocean whenever we wanted! We explored the local culture and had our fair share of chilled rosé & sunsets. I wholeheartedly enjoyed my time on the boat, and only wish I had done this sooner. If what you are looking for is adventure, experiencing another culture while exploring and and connecting with others and expanding your knowledge of sailing, I would not hesitate to take this course!

Conundrum Peak is commonly done after ascending Castle via a short ridge walk, although you could…read morejust ascend conundrum via the gully. You must deal with the same difficult road up. Only one car made it all the way to the upper drive lot and there are many campsites and places to pull over if you just want to go a portion on the way. Both peaks are a class two and a good introduction to the crumbling rock of the elk mountains. I took the gully down with some new friends I met at the top. It didn't exceed class two but it was touch and go for a while with lots of steep terrain and tons of talus and scree. Even when you reach the bottom you're hiking on lots of unstable rock around the lake but it makes for a fun adventure! Overall a great hike and I'd recommend doing both peaks!
