His receptionist said he shouldn't go over that and we may even get a slight refund so I was surprised to get a bill for an additional $1k! I thought, at least it was worth it, until we had some questions about the case and called the firm to get answers and they said there would be a fee to reopen the case?? What? I just paid $4k for them to handle it and they can't give me any info now? Got some notices that some of the things hadn't been handled that they said were. When my husband called he was told that he himself could go talk to the prosecutor to get it cleared up. What? Again, I just paid $4k. We probably would've had the same results going through a public defender and it would've been considerably cheaper. They seemed very detached from the case I poured a considerable amount of my savings into. It has made me so disappointed and frustrated.

It was a situation where there were 3 PR's, one was not motivated to close out the estate for whatever reason and we hoped that pressure from an attorney would help us get resolution. Which it did, 7 months later. That is the reason for 1 star, we got resolution. I would put no stars based on customer service, attention to detail, communication,value, etc. The estate had no bills aside from a funeral expense that the one PR wasn't willing to pay, however ND Century code allows an estate to be charged funeral expenses. Other than one invoice being paid, there were no additional challenges, it was very cut and dry. Morgan Glines was our attorney and I would not recommend her at all. She seemed to have cared less, the communication we had with her was not personable, during the 6 months of services there were less than 20 communications between Boppree and us (this includes her para reaching out) We had to check in with her and ask where things were at, she was not pro-active in solutioning for us. Her lack of communication led to confusion, left us wondering what was going on, paperwork was filed, and we didn't even know about it, Judge made communication to the attorney's without our knowledge. I sent an email after a conversation I had with Morgan and the bank in which my late brothers account was at, where the bank had incorrectly released the funds; Morgan made mention of "this is exactly how I thought this would go..." but did not relay that to us. I sent a follow up email to Morgan expressing my distain for the situation and how her lack of communication was unprofessional. I did not receive a reply, apology, or anything regarding this. Additionally, the icing on the cake is their lack of attention to detail. Documents were incorrect when filed with spelling errors, the last email I received from her assistant was for closure of service. This letter thanked us for using Boppree for "mineral exploration representation". It was only fitting that this be wrong as well. For $4,000 (an agreed upon cap) we were sorely disappointed. If you are looking for compassionate, empathetic, knowledgeable and attentive attorney's I would look elsewhere.
