The comfort stations were clean and well maintained. Our site was ok; it was perched on a hill, with stairs needed to access the site. This made going to the car for supplies a bit inconvenient. Unfortunately, we were unable to use the main beach due to thousands of minnows washed up on shore. Apparently, this is a natural phenomenon occurring from a temperature change in the water. However, we swam at Dunes Beach, which was a lovely experience. The sand was fine like powder, and the water was clean.

We discovered an artwork setup by the park team right by the water and we all enjoyed making paintings. It is a bit off the beaten path but offers breathtaking views. When walking on the Limestone beach look in both directions at the pure beauty of the cliffs and the trees. There is also a beautiful march beside the beach. Take a hike or walk up on the cliffs for more scenic views. A beautiful serene place I will visit time and time again. A MUST SEE

We had such a large area of the beach all to ourselves. We were there for a few hours, and probably could have stayed longer. My partner said it was the most Caribbean looking beach he's ever been to not actually in the Caribbean. Things to note: Conditions might be quite different on different days. Apparently, the 1.3 trail to the beach can be wet and buggy (not when we were there!) and the water can have more algae (though it was stunningly clear during our visit). $15/person fee, with discounts for families.

(So sad) Jack's Place is such an awesome playground! The recommended age range is 5-12. There are so many neat aspects of it including some unique spinning "rides", numerous slides, swings, lots of places to climb and a rubberized digging zone. There are a few benches around for the adults. Our kiddos had so much fun here! Highly recommend!

Plenty of field and a couple of picnic tables. I don't recommend eating there based on our experience yesterday. We were invaded by what looked like fruit flies times 1,000. It literally rained bugs on us at the picnic table within one minute of sitting down so we booked it out of there and ate down the street another playground before returning. There are a few different activities for the kids, some the same as the location in Penfield such as the sand pit (here it's rubber), the big standup spinner, and the signature dinosaurs. Plenty to keep the kids happy. My kids loved it here!

It's got a long sandbar, making it an ideal place for boats to anchor and allow boaters to swim, and a great place for kids! We often see people on rafts or paddle boards! 2024 review Today is a beautiful hot day for the beach and…read morewe arrived comfortably around 11am and parking was slowly filling up on the closer lots. $5/hour or $40 all day, there is parking police patrolling when we arrived. We chose to park on the west end by the boat marinas and it's a close walk to the white sand beach and lighthouse pier. Few more minutes to walk to the info hub, food truck and washrooms make it pretty easy anywhere on beach. The washrooms are also next to two simple playgrounds and splash pads. Nothing fancy but good place to rinse off the kids before getting back into the car. The sand is freshly groomed and very soft. Minor pebbles, debris that the kids could walk bare feet on. There was lots of space to play and set up camp, not as busy as expected especially arriving this late in the morning. In my honest opinion, while sitting on the towel ground, I could smell an odd aroma. It's probably an algae smell in the water and sands lingering around. I preferred sitting higher up from the wet sand and trenches the kids were digging up to get more airflow. No one else seemed to mind but when the gentle breeze wasn't blowing there was a weird smell. Feedback from my partner said the water is nice but as you go out further, there was some algae pockets in the lake sand making it kinda gross and slimy. Important to check by laws about what you can or cannot bring to the beach. There is frequent beach police patrolling the sands. Today's water quality levels online and on the beach showed it to be really low. Always check beach water quality before leaving as some have been in the red this summer. All in all, a decent place to go for a nice sandy beach. Kites, frisbee, water blow up toys, sand castles and kayaks in the water, this place is pretty chill to hang out at. The kids are having fun today and want to come back.
