The crew was great with our kids and brought them up to see the wheel and stuff. The snorkeling was great. Overall, we had a great experience and couldn't believe how reasonably priced it was. A couple weeks before our trip we reserved a center console from Boat Rentals of Key West for 8 hours. On the day of the rental we arrived at their office in the Marina at Downtown Key West. The staff was courteous and gave us all the needed instructions we would need for the day. The boat was clean, gassed up and ready to go. We had a blast exploring the area and reefs around Key West. The Boat performed and ran great. Me and my wife have rented boats before and never have we encountered a staff as professional and courteous as the people working at Boat Rentals of Key West and their boats are in very good condition and obviously well maintained. In the future, we will be back to Key West and we will only rent a boat from Boat Rentals of Key West. Thanks again for the great service. Our boat rental was the highlight of our key West trip.

I never leave bad reviews, but in this case it was absolutely necessary. - "Boat Rentals of Key West" is a broker, but does not disclose at time of booking. After making a deposit on phone, we were sent to pickup our boat at a place called "Paradise Boat Rentals" at Murray Marine on Stock Island. - We arrived at Paradise Boat Rentals at 1pm where final payment was charged. Upon which, the owner "Rocky" recommended he guide us through the narrow channels to main water. Very shallow area that surrounded the location. - When we hit open waters, Rocky waived us through and we were on our way. 35 minutes later, the boat broke down. From 1st contact, it took them 3 hours to come assist us. - By 5:15pm, we had everything swapped over to a replacement boat. We used this replacement boat to tow Rocky 45 minutes closer to KW (out of courtesy). - It was cloudy, windy and the water was very choppy that day, not to mention, we were in a flat bottom deck boat. It was extremely rough to say the least, and we still had to make it back to Murray on Stock Island. - By 6:45pm we could barely see. We realize at this time, the replacement boat has NO lights and NO navigation device. My wife calls Rocky on his cell, and explained we were about 500 yards from his marina, but needed an assist due to no lights or nav - it was not safe trying to navigate the narrow channels without someone experienced with such area. He begins screaming at her and accusing us of being intoxicated. I get on the phone and he begins cursing "I know what F...n games you are playing", "I'm not coming to help you", "Just wait until you get here and see who you are messing with", etc, etc. I explain to him that 3 of us on the boat, including driver had not taken 1 sip of alcohol that day. - At this point, due to the situation and the threats from Rocky, we pulled over to a bulk-headed area and called the local authorities. They agreed we should not drive the boat as it was very dangerous to do so without lights. They then helped return the boat and coordinated our vehicle pickup from Murray. At 9:30pm, we were finally returning to our hotel. - We are now going through the channels of dispute with our credit card company for right at $400 in charges (from both this broker and Paradise rentals)! Rant over. Proceed with caution.

Had an absolute blast on the marathon lady today for their morning charter from 8:30 am until 12:30…read morepm. Captain Craig and the two Jakes were amazing. They helped with baiting the hooks, unhooking the catches, cleaning the fish, and providing unparalleled entertainment. We couldn't have asked for a better day on the water, the fish were biting and the weather was absolutely perfect. The captain kept putting us right on the fish and we ended the trip with plenty to bring to a restaurant for a hook and cook dinner. I can't recommend this place enough, the price is right and the people running it and keeping it going are great. The captain even let us know when a pod of dolphins were nearby so we could enjoy seeing them! Such an unexpected and great bonus to the day! It is BYOB if you want, but onboard they do have some beverages and snacks for purchase (cash only on board), but we brought our own which worked out well. Tickets can be purchased with debit or credit cards, but cash on board is king for drinks/snacks, tips, and fish cleaning so make sure to bring some cash for your day on the water! If you're in the middle keys and want a great value for a fishing trip without a full charter, this is the best there is and totally worth it.

The bite was very slow all around, but more importantly we felt like they weren't putting in any effort. Asked around and everyone we talked to said they heard they have really went down hill. We went on another boat out of Islamorada last month and the boat limited out super early and everyone went home happy. Sad to say, we're retiring our tradition of going out on the Marathon Lady every year for our anniversary trip.

The mate was especially patient and kind with our young boys and really made sure they had the best time possible! This was following a night time charter with a different boat in the area, and we caught twice as much fish and had a much better time with Sea Dog. The shared catch aspect was originally a deterrent for us, it's something we're really not a fan of. In the end it worked out fine though, and we were glad we decided to give them a try!

The shifting was tough and you just knew it was worn hard and for the $1200 price tag (plus fuel) it was def not what we were expecting. We know boat rentals are expensive but there were moments that left us uneasy with inability to reverse and the vibration over 20mph. Noted to the team but they were apathetic to it and when taking my family out that's not enough for us. Wouldn't recommend if heading out to sea for fishing or anything less than flat waters.

My recent experience at All Aboard Boat Rentals compelled me to sit down and share it with the world in hope that I can help others. I am going to be as concise as possible otherwise people will skip over my review and miss out on the best part. ****DISCLAIMER***** Not related, affiliated or paid in anyway Pros 1. Open on time. Believe it or not it's not the norm lol. 2. Answer the phone. If you call them with questions, issues or concerns they are more than happy to assist however possible. No attitudes or rudeness (unless provoked) 3. Knowledgeable staff that quickly go over the details of the boat like, safety requirements, propeller condition, fire extinguisher, shallow areas to avoid. 4. Well maintained fleet. We rented 4 different boats over the course of two weeks and we didn't experience a single issue. Turn key operation every time. All the electronics worked too, the radio, the GPS, the fish finder etc... Even the hulls are well maintained with very little marine growth which helps with fuel efficiency and top end speed. 5. Well stocked store. You can get everything you may need right there. From ice to chum, squid, basic tackle, snacks etc.... 6. Best part is the staff. I don't have all the names but I interacted mainly with Steven, Jay and the queen of customer service TONY!!!!! I can't say enough about this group. I've watched them interact with people of all walks of life and budgets and ethnicities. They treated everyone exactly the same even those that don't speak the language. It was very cool to see Steven using google translate to communicate with none English speaking customers. That most have been frustrating but they did it anyway. You'd think this is the standard but I can honestly tell you that this is not the case everywhere you go....sadly. Constructive criticism 1. I wished they had a way to store basic customers information so you wouldn't have to waste time with the paperwork every time you rented a vessel. Or streamline the process a bit more . I am sure it's a very small percentage of customers if any that actually read that many pages. If you are staying in Marathon and want to rent a boat, I strongly suggest you give All Aboard Boat Rentals a call.

A few days before our boat rental my husband had stopped by the marina to see if we could rent a boat. That specific day the owner named Ray advised my husband that the boating conditions were not ideal and he stated he didn't want to rent a boat out to us for us to come right back miserable and sea sick. We thought that was great that he was looking out for our best interest and didn't want to just take our money. Fast forward to a few days later where the boating conditions were better and we were ready to go! My husband went back to the marina and met Ray again. Ray took his time and went over all the details ( and trust me there is a lot to know before you head out) of the boat and sent us on our way. My husband and i started to head out and it wasn't long before my idiot ( and i say that with love) husband put the boat in neutral without realizing and thought he broke the propeller. He called Ray and within 10/15 minutes Ray was out on the water to help us out. We felt so bad for dragging Ray out just to tell us we had the boat in neutral! He reassured us it was ok and that we did exactly what we were supposed to do in that situation. Ray then sent us on our way again! We had the boat until 4pm and we had a blast!!!!! The area we were in made it hard to stay out of shallow water but we did it! We felt like we had no limits on distance and we made it out to the Coffin Patch which is at a coral reef where people go snorkeling. You are not able to anchor there but there are buoys to hook the boat up to if you want to stay. We then took the boat out to the 7 mile bridge and then made our way back. Ray met us back at the marina to help fill the boat back up with gas. We talked for a bit and then we were on off. Ray was such a pleasure to work with. We will definitely be back!
